Very comfortable stay, spotlessly clean and a very comfortable bed. Bath robes are a nice touch. Tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits which you can top up from stations on each corridor. Breakfast was very good.
Great location, husband and father in law stayed the night before a visit to see the Vulcan. The room was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the food was superb (best fish & chips theyve had for a long time). They both had a great time and would definitely recommend.
The Ibis styles is a quirky funky hotel situated around 2 miles from the centre of Barnsley, this is about £4-£6 in a ride share or taxi service.
Upon arriving I was met by some super friendly reception staff who quickly checked me in, even managed to get me in an accessible room having noticed I was on a mobility scooter, much appreciated for the shower in the morning.
On top of this they advised on local food delivery options and allowed me to eat it in the bar area! Such a kind and accommodating gesture as it was 11pm by this point.
The Rooms are spotlessly clean as pictured, spacious with big windows, all the usual in room stuff you would expect and a nice sized tv too.
The beds themselves the “sweetbedz” super comfortable overall, a bit firm for my personal preference but much better than most hotels around the ibis average price.
Can’t wait for the opportunity to stay again soon.
The breakfast I believe was the express option, the staff where great and assisted me, one plate i found to be plenty and was a tasty way to start the day.
DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City was exactly what I needed during my business trip. Comfortable, reliable, and quietly kind. From the moment I arrived, the check-in was smooth and welcoming, and that first warm cookie felt like a small but genuine gesture of care after a long journey.
The location is convenient, close to the city centre yet peaceful enough to rest. It made moving between meetings and personal time easy, something I truly appreciated.
The room was modern, clean, and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the lighting soft, and everything worked perfectly. It was not about luxury, but about thoughtful comfort that helps you recharge.
Breakfast offered a good variety and the restaurant had a calm atmosphere that made mornings feel easy. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help without being intrusive.
What stood out the most was the consistency. Every part of the stay felt dependable and well cared for. That sense of steadiness made it easy to relax and focus on the purpose of the trip.
Thank you DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City for creating a space that feels balanced, peaceful, and genuinely comfortable.
My room iwas a diuble bed room with a sofa. It was clean clean and comfortable. The breakfast is good.
Reasonable price.
The staff was frendly and helpful. I had an urgent meeting and requested the staff to extend the check out time. The staff extended the change our check out time for free.
It was a 6 mins driving distance to the town centre and railway station. It is good for those who drive. Free parking. But if you don't drive, the hotel may not be the perfect choice.
We stayed in March 2024 had a good experience then, but this visit last weekend 11th May 24 was very disappointing we found the room dirty with insects crawling around under the bed, we asked to change room which we did but found the same problem which i pointed out to the night receptionist, he came up with a 3rd room clean luckily at midnight, now very tired we slept well and spoke to reception at check out who offered us a complimentary Breakfast which was nice but doesn't make you want to return again if the rooms are presented to you so dirty please see photos i did write to the hotel manager on 13th May but as yet have received NO reply
Nice clean hotel, located in a nice area with plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk.
Room was nice and big and clean, except for finding a long dark hair in the sink on arrival! Room was very quiet with the curtains only letting a small amount of light in when light outside.
Breakfast was nice with a decent selection for all, however the coffee could be better. The bar area was also nice, with a decent selection of beers.
Parking within the hotel car park was a none starter, with it being so small and also rather tight for turning around etc. instead we chose to park in an NCP Carl park on Solly street that cost £2.50 overnight on a weekend and had plenty of spaces. Weekdays costs £11 for 24hrs rather than £15 in the Hampton by Hilton.
Overall a nice stay, with nice pleasant staff. Would definitely stay again of in the area.

The room is OK. There is not much to do in Sheffield. It is mainly for transfer to Darcy Manor. It is about 15-20 minutes walk from the train station. It is not far to take the 218 bus, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk.

Terrible facilities as this hotel was decorated long long time ago. I've booked the hotel for 2 nights and on the first night the wall mounted hair dryer exploded with a huge sound and burnt odour, and the hotel was fully booked so no room for us to move we have to sleep with the burnt odour. On the second day the hot water supply is broken as there was no hot water supply in my room, only room temperature (slightly warm)water, the night shift staff tried to fix it but failed. This is one of the terrible experience I've ever had. The room is also very old, please imagine 1970's rooms
Staffs are good especially the night shift staff who actively helped us. Location is good.
The fabric of the building was a little worn and tired. All staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Didn’t eat in so can’t comment on that. Great variety of food available in the Wool Market, 3 minutes walk away.

GGuest UserIt was an impressive and pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a family room, which was perfect for our trip, very spacious and with great view. The bed mattress is one of the best in all my experience. I had great sleep during the stay. The cleanliness of the room was ok. The location is very convenient if you are driving - 20 mins drive to the walking trails and 10 mons drive to centre of Sheffiled. David from the restaurant provided highly professional and helpful service for our breakfast. All in all, we would consider staying at this hotel again if we visit this area again.

OOshunniyiMy check was lovely. Easy process. Was given all the necessary information to make my stay worthwhile such as WiFi and lift process. The Italian gentleman at the reception was awesome, he even gave me ideas of where to go. I ended up taking his advice and enjoyed my night out.
In morning it was a new unfriendly cold face. I asked if she had any tissues she told me no and I had to go to the toilet for that. I collected my complimentary breakfast which I totally appreciated by the hotel . As I sat to eat my croissants in the other room, I heard another gentleman ask if he could take some extra croissants and Kas responded that he could and she even offered him blue roll. I was astonished. She shared the same excitement with another lady, complimenting her dress etc whereas I didn't not even get a warm greeting from her.
This was very disappointing. I will not be staying here again nor will I be recommending it to other friends or family members. The discrimination was obvious and would not want to expose my loved ones to Kas's behaviour.
I asked her name as I intended to make a complaint. Very disappointing for my first trip to Sheffield.

AAnonymous UserI stayed one night at EasyHotel Sheffield City Centre and found it simple, clean, and very affordable. The room was compact but comfortable — perfect for a quick stopover. The location is excellent, with easy access to the city’s nightlife and a discounted rate for parking at Q-Park, which was a big plus.
A couple of downsides: the bathroom had some mould, which seemed easy to clean with a bit more attention, and no breakfast was offered, which would have been convenient.
Overall, it’s a budget-friendly option that delivers on the basics — just right for a short city stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a nice feel about it. The single room I had was fine for one night. The bathroom was nice, it was almost as big as the room !! The shower was excellent. I did not sleep well, the mattress was rather uncomfortable. I did report it and was told they were in the process of upgrading mattresses. The staff were all very happy, welcoming and friendly.
__zjia66688****This is our second night here, and we're still a party of three. Last night, we had a room with a double bed and a single bed. Tonight, we have a double bed and a sofa bed. The double bed is quite spacious and very comfortable. However, the sofa bed was not as comfortable – its mattress was thin, the pillow too soft, and it felt a bit lumpy, leading to a rather uncomfortable night's sleep. (Thankfully, the room rate tonight wasn't too high).
The location is truly excellent. Not only is it close to the train station, but it's also very near the bus stop for the bus to West Manor (which takes about an hour directly, costs £3 one way, and requires no transfers).
