This was a transit hotel I booked on my way back from New Zealand. For a hotel that offers a free airport shuttle, the quality was absolutely sufficient. Although the room was a bit old, it was a great choice for a one-night stopover to freshen up. Plus, this hotel offers a free ride on the Yellow Bus! (Since I don't have many photos of the hotel, I've included some pictures from my trip instead!)
Our last stop in New Zealand was this airport hotel, and it completely exceeded our expectations! Definitely five stars!
โ๏ธ Incredibly convenient location: The hotel is right near Auckland Airport, with a free shuttle service to and from the airport. This was super handy for early morning or late-night flights, completely eliminating any travel stress โ itโs an excellent choice for layovers or transitions!
๐จ Super comfortable room: We booked a deluxe room with two queen beds. The space was bright and spacious, the bedding soft and clean, and the room was spotlessly cleaned. The soundproofing was excellent; we couldn't hear any airplane noise at all, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.
๐โโ๏ธ Delightful facilities: The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool! After a day of exploring, a dip in the pool and some sunbathing instantly relieved our travel fatigue โ it was so therapeutic! Other facilities were also comprehensive, perfectly meeting all our travel needs.
๐โโ๏ธ Attentive service: The front desk staff were warm and professional. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and they proactively reminded us about shuttle times and answered our travel questions. Any requests were quickly addressed, showing great attention to detail.
๐ฟ Wonderful environment: The hotel's overall environment was quiet and comfortable, with clean and tidy public areas and a welcoming atmosphere. It completely lacked the usual hustle and bustle of an airport hotel, making our stay very pleasant.
This hotel played a big part in the perfect conclusion of my friend's and my New Zealand trip! We'll definitely choose it again for future layovers in Auckland. Highly recommend it to all travelers needing an airport stopover!
After we landed, we took the yellow shuttle bus to the hotel. The transportation was actually very convenient; you just need to confirm the shuttle schedule in advance. The hotel was also very clean.
We stayed in a family room, and overall the experience was great, except for the breakfast! It had two rooms with a kitchen, very spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff were also good.
The only downside was the breakfast service. On that day, there were two Korean tour groups, and they were seated before breakfast even officially started. We, as individual guests, were told there were no seats and asked to come back an hour later (breakfast was from 7 to 9 AM, and we arrived promptly at 7 AM). Since we didn't have time to wait an hour, we stood there waiting for a table. Eventually, the first group of over 40 people left, and then the second group of 20 arrived right after! The food wasn't refilled, nor were the paper cups or tea bags. The coffee machine was broken, and there was only one small home-style hot water dispenser, which was clearly insufficient for 50 people. The waiter then brought another electric kettle from somewhere, and when I poured hot water, I saw black flakes โ I realized the iron heating element inside was rusty and flaking off... A lot of people had already drunk from it (it was terrifying). In the end, I only ate an apple and drank a cup of tea. There was only one server, nowhere near enough to manage two large tour groups. No one was clearing tables, and the situation for us individual guests was even worse.
Another plus was the free airport shuttle bus. So, apart from the breakfast experience, everything else was very good. Free parking was also available.
The hotel is new and the room is spacious. The front desk staff is helpful and let us store our luggage for a relatively longer time than we expected. It is not far from the airport so it is really good for us to stay in.
After getting off the airport shuttle, it's about a 7-8 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel's location is very central, close to Queen Street, Britomart, and the harbor. There's a supermarket right across the street and a Chemist Warehouse nearby, which is convenient for buying fish oil and souvenirs. However, nights in the CBD can be quite dangerous; even close to midnight, I heard drunk people and homeless individuals arguing. The complimentary breakfast at the hotel is decent, nothing to complain about. The staff were also good; check-out in New Zealand is usually at 10 AM, but the front desk granted a late check-out until 12 PM, so I got to enjoy a nice lie-in after breakfast. As for hygiene, the only thing to mention is that some small details could be improved. When I checked in, there were dirty water stains on the sink, hair on the bath towel, and the air conditioning filter indicated it needed changing.
We booked a room with breakfast and dinner. We arrived at the hotel at 8 PM, just in time before dinner service ended. The hotel dinner truly blew us away; there was so much food that two adults and two children couldn't even finish it all, and the quality and taste were superb. There was also a great variety of fresh fruit. The next day, we went to a fruit shop and regretted not having packed up the last remaining fruit from the hotel. I've already recommended this hotel to friends, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I visit Auckland.

Great stay overall. It has its own designated car parking for each room. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout the stay. The host was very friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout the stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable and welcoming. The atmosphere felt warm and comfortable, almost like staying at home. Smooth from check-in to check-out. Thank you so much host for your help that I went to the wrong location but host assisted me to find the correct location and very responsive to my enquiry even that hour considered late around 8pm. Just to add on there are 2 forest city at Auckland but make sure you search (forrest city) with 2 r in it, as I went wrong to the another forest city ๐ I would definitely recommend this place for both business and leisure travelers. I will come back here again when I visit Auckland, travel from here to city centre just 15 minutes without jam.
ABSOLUTELY APPALLING EXPERIENCE - STAY AWAY!
The incompetent front desk staff DEDUCTED my security deposit without a single word of explanation. When I desperately needed early check-in because my wife was SICK, the front desk manager had the audacity to treat me like garbage. Instead of showing basic human decency, this manager SCREAMED at me - completely unprofessional and disgusting behavior.
The breakfast was a complete JOKE - pathetic selection that wouldn't even satisfy a child. The room TV was completely BROKEN due to their failure to maintain basic cable connections. They can't even manage the simplest amenities.
This was hands-down the WORST hotel experience of my life. An absolute disaster from start to finish. Management is incompetent, staff is rude, and the facility is falling apart. I would give ZERO stars if I could.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!
Brand new building and room. Secure and quiet. The communication is great with clear instructions on checking in after hours. Not far from airport or CBD, so location is amazing. I will be a regular customer.
