The location is excellent, right in the center of town and only about a 10 minute walk to the bridge. The room was just enough for a couple with two check-in-sized suitcases. The breakfast and coffee were good enough if you’re in a rush. However, there were a few issues during our stay. There was no hot water after about 5 minutes of showering each day. We stayed in a corner room facing the main road. From Friday to Sunday, between 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM, the restaurant across the street blasted loud music and non-stop chatter. Even with earplugs, the noise was still very noticeable…quite frustrating after a long day of travel. We asked to change rooms, but the receptionist said this was the best they had available.

The staff at this hotel are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered in all my travels anywhere in the world. I cannot thank them enough for brightening my day everyday and making the stay so perfect. The rooms are also lovely and clean and the pool area is very pleasant to relax by.

No food- the only reason I could not rate 5/5 on facilities. The workers are honest. I had forgotten one of my phones after checking out. They contacted me and kept the phone for me for several hours.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Pros: Only a few rooms with thatched roofs, quiet, there is a swimming pool. Well-kept grounds. The beds are comfortable, there is air conditioning and a fan. Good breakfasts. Excellent dinner (for an extra fee). There is always water in the room - 2 bottles. Excellent staff, Cindy helped us a lot, you can book excursions with them. Cons: no hair dryer, but it is available upon request. There is nothing near the hotel, nowhere to go, only by taxi, and it is not cheap. We ordered at the hotel. The cost of the transfer to the airport is overpriced, 18 dollars per person, although you can find it for 10.

The breakfast is good, of course it is a western breakfast. There are mosquito nets, but you must pay attention to mosquitoes. Starting at 9 am, a shuttle bus will be sent to the waterfall and the city center every hour. It is free and very convenient.

I stayed in a dormitory. The room, shared shower, and toilet were all well-cleaned and nice. I planned to stay one night but ended up staying an extra night. However, there is a bar space which is very noisy and plays music until late at night, so it may not be suitable for people who want to relax. I was tired so I ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel. A beef burger was $9 and a beer was $2. The taste was okay.

GGuest UserWe stayed at Lulu Lodge in order to visit Victoria Falls as part of a longer trip to Africa. When we arrived at the airport, John was ready and waiting to pick us up and transfer us to the lodge. He was friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast each day on the shady stoep outside our room, and all the staff were kind and courteous. We particularly enjoyed a dip in the hotel pool, which is clean and pleasantly shaded in the hottest part of the day. We deliberately chose an independent hotel rather than a large corporate one. We wanted to see more of the real Zimbabwe rather than being shielded behind am expensive facade. Some elements of our stay revealed a tight budget for the owners: the minibus had seen better days, and had no air-conditioning, and the shower was a bit temperamental, but this was easily offset by the willingness of John and his staff to show us the places and share the experiences we had wanted to see. He took us to the Victoria Falls, showed us the beautiful Lookout Cafe, which we probably would not have found by ourselves, ferried us into town for lunch and shops, and arranged an elephant ride which was an absolute joy! The elephants were free to roam over an extensive area as part of a conservation project, and we were delighted to have a 7 month old baby tag along with. her mother as we rode. John also took us to a local school where we were able to see students who truly valued their opportunity to have a proper education at a manageable price. We hope to return to Lulu Lodge within the next two years. Thank you, John, Tom and Honest.

GGuest UserMy wife, , myself and our daughter started our visit to Africa in Zimbabwe, and booked 2 days at Pamusha lodge. It’s set in a secluded setting just outside Victoria falls town… probably 20 mins walk if you wanna attempt it , but there’s no need as Pamusha offer a shuttle service , usually with the wonderful Geoffrey driving , for a small fee. ( also a shuttle from the airport !). We found the staff working there incredibly helpful and friendly, especially in organising tours with / through Pamusha as well as any other questions we asked. Food at the lodge was ok , mostly reasonably priced and the bar was also fine. What was quoted was what we paid for tours .Accomodation is a little dated ( no hair dryer etc), but ok for a base to explore from. Yes , not 5 star luxury but would definitely recommend to people for a short stay

GGuest UserThe owner and his family were very helpful. Transfer from and to the airport was perfectly organized. The lodge is newly built and everything is very clean. We always felt safe in the lodge. We were brought to restaurants for dinner and picked up after. Finally our host took us to various nice and interesting places in Vic Falls. We learned a lot about life in Simbabwe.

KKobe & KyleThe Hostel grounds themselves and the tent was very clean. We just did not realize that by booking a “double room” that it was actually a tent. The provided fan was nice and kept us cool in the evening and pool kept us clean during the day. The location though is a bit outside of the town center though so you either need a car or to call a taxi to get anywhere. The restaurant onsite was okay, but it wasn’t explained to us that occasionally they have a special BBQ and you can’t order anything else from the menu. If we knew that at the time, we would have stopped at the market and self catered. But the staff was all lovely and helpful.

GGuest UserA pleasant lodge. Beautiful grounds, a decent pool. The room is large, well-insulated, the bed comfortable, the shower has good water pressure, and everything you need is there. There was no soap or hairdryer in the room, but they provided one immediately upon request. They provide a separate towel for the pool, but you need to ask at reception. On the downside, there was some kind of insect repellent in the closet that stank the entire room. There are no mosquito nets, meaning you can't open the windows at night, making the room stuffy. The air conditioning is quite noisy and doesn't cool very well. The Wi-Fi connection system is a bit odd—they use vouchers that expired half the time, requiring you to go back and get them again. Breakfast is okay, but repetitive. They offer a choice of scrambled eggs with various toppings like sausage, bacon, mushrooms, beans, etc.; you have to order it, and it takes no more than 10 minutes to cook. The location is quite far from everything; we once walked to the waterfall in the morning, which wasn't very convenient. There was no free shuttle to the falls. The hotel's shuttle to the Lookout Café was $10 each way, which is not exactly cheap, and the car was subpar. Room service from restaurants in the evening costs $3 and takes a long time. They didn't exactly deliver what I ordered; apparently they weren't in stock. They didn't ask me about substitutions; they bought what they wanted. They allowed me to check out 1.5 hours late on my last day. There aren't many budget hotels in Victoria Falls. This one turned out to be quite good in terms of price and quality, if you're willing to take transfers and taxis. I couldn't find a taxi near the hotel, so it's best to arrange a taxi in advance.
