The scenery is incredibly beautiful, as you can see from the pictures, and the service was unbelievably good. My Furong Ancient Town trip was elevated from an 8 to a 10 just because of this wonderful night. It really reminds me of that youthful saying: 'Good wine, good food, and good company.'

The location is fantastic, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, very close and convenient to the city center. You can drive right up to the entrance, unlike some hotels in the absolute center where it's super noisy and you have to drag your luggage for ages. The room was very quiet and clean, and the river view was stunning. I could sit by the window and zone out for an entire afternoon – a truly wonderful experience! I wouldn't recommend the free Miao village; I highly recommend Dehang Miao Village instead. The Dehang Grand Canyon is incredibly beautiful, and taking a car up and walking down is a pleasant and effortless way to enjoy it.

I stayed here with my sister and we absolutely loved it! The owners were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help us and make us feel welcome even though they didn’t speak English! We stayed here 3 nights but wish we had stayed longer! They took care of booking all of our activities for us and even messaged us when we were out to ensure that we had found our way alright! The location was also excellent with beautiful views from the roof deck of the mountains as well as a washer/dryer free to use! We even had an amazing view of the mountains from our room!

Overall, our experience was uncomfortable and disappointing. Communication was handled through WeChat and translation apps. Although the hotel had promised transportation from the station, they only arranged it after we contacted them on arrival day. At check-in, the receptionist repeatedly asked us to cancel our Trip.com reservation in exchange for a “better rate.” We declined, but the insistence made us very uncomfortable. We later reported this, and the hotel denied it, calling it a “translation error.” After that, the staff became overly attentive, offering multiple “complimentary” items and constantly messaging us with basic housekeeping questions. While meant as hospitality, it felt excessive and intrusive, especially during a vacation. At check-out, the same staff member pressured us to leave a 5-star review and implied that transportation was conditional on it. This raised serious concerns, so we chose to take a taxi instead. The situation escalated further when he followed us to continue insisting. The facilities are average: the bathroom is very small, the shower floods the floor, towels are worn, and the AC had an unpleasant odor. On the positive side, the bed, balcony, and view were nice. Without these issues, we might have had a better impression. However, the lack of transparency, pressure tactics, and overall discomfort made this a negative experience.

If you can’t decide on a hotel in Furong don’t think further and select this amazing place. The hotel is beautiful, it has a perfect view on the waterfall. The helpfulness of the staff is impeccable. Since I have fallen sick we had to change our arrival plans in the last minute, the hotel without any issues rescheduled our pick up very promptly. They also led us to the hotel so we wouldn’t get lost while helping us with our luggage. During the evening my illness got much worse and my boyfriend was driven by the owner to the closest pharmacy to get me some medication. I’m so very thankful for their help in this situation. If I could give more starts I would. And if I could ever return to one hotel again it would be this one. Thank you once again for all your help! Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade to a much more spacious room. The room was clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The hotel also provided free breakfast, which was delicious and a great way to start the day. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from Hongqiao and very convenient for visiting nearby attractions. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They patiently introduced the local attractions and recommended sightseeing routes, which made our trip much easier. The complimentary railway station transfer service was another thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. There is also a self-service laundry and dryer room on the top floor, which was very convenient. The rooftop breakfast area offers a nice view and is a relaxing place to spend some time. Overall, a very comfortable stay with excellent service. Highly recommended, and I would gladly stay here again!

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Tianmen Mountain, making it super convenient to get to the scenic area. The room was clean and tidy, with a large floor-to-ceiling window on a high floor that provided excellent natural light. The facilities were complete and new, and the service was very thoughtful. I felt very safe staying alone. The value for money is exceptional, and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie!

We checked in on the evening of May 3rd, and the butler upgraded us to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. The guesthouse owner was very welcoming, and the next day he even showed us the entire villa. Every room was very comfortably furnished. The butler was incredibly kind; on the evening of the 3rd, he offered to pick up my husband from the high-speed rail station. Later, on the 4th, when we returned from our outing, we realized how dark the mountain roads were. We were truly grateful to the lovely butler. The guesthouse has a wonderful natural environment. The flowers and trees at the entrance and the various vegetables and fruits in the small garden demonstrate the owner's dedication. The guesthouse is currently undergoing renovations and upgrades, and my daughter is especially looking forward to the barbecue area in the adjacent stargazing room. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and definitely worth a second visit.

Facilities: The facilities are all great and look quite new. Hygiene: It was very clean, which was reassuring. Environment: It's beautiful and stunning, just like in the pictures. The surroundings are truly gorgeous. Service: Excellent service, communication was great and very smooth.

The room size was decent, and both the hard and soft furnishings were excellent. I checked in during the May Day holiday, and they gave me a free room upgrade. The quality of the disposable toiletries was quite good, and the attention to detail with the small items was spot on. It felt more human and caring than some high-end chain hotels, and it had a unique 'professionalism' that even some charming B&Bs lack. The mattress was very comfortable; after a night's rest, my tired body felt completely relaxed. **Cleanliness:** The bedside cabinet wasn't perfectly clean; I could feel a bit of dust when I placed my phone on it. Other areas were generally clean. **Ambiance:** The dining and common areas were elegant and comfortable. The interior of the room and the hallway had a beautiful, timeless Chinese style. The air in the corridor was filled with a relaxing woody scent. **Service:** The front desk attendant took me to my room and explained the timings for afternoon tea and breakfast the next day. Before I left, she even gave me an apple and two bottles of water, which was very thoughtful. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Hengyang. I hope anyone in Hengyang doesn't miss out on this hotel; overall, it's great value for money and highly recommended.
