Riad la Porte Rouge by la Siredrah

Cannot say enough how much we loved staying here. Mustafa was an impeccable host from the very start. Our flight was delayed 2 hours which meant we didn't arrive at the hotel until after 2am but we were warmly welcomed and shown to our rooms. We travelled with our 17yo son and he had his own twin room on the ground floor and we had a deluxe double across from him. The beds were firm but not uncomfortable. The air-conditioning was a blessing as it was one if the warmest summers they'd had. The plunge pool was perfectly cool and refreshing. The jacuzzi was a bonus on the rooftop terrace. Breakfast was amazing and super filling with a different bread/pancake every morning with fresh juice and coffee. Our riad was only a short walk to the souks and the hustle and bustle of the town and we felt very safe. It is worth noting that Mustafa can organise any day trip or excursion and is very helpful offering advice on what to expect to pay when shopping. 100% recommend staying here as a couple, family or just with friends. Can't forget to mention Max the cat! We wanted to bring him home with us. Thank you all at the Riad La Pprte Rouge for an unforgettable holiday!

Where to start… first, the pictures as well as the majority of good reviews are very very outdated. The hotel requires some serious renovation, it’s literally falling apart: the furniture is shabby, tv doesn’t work, towels are dirty, birds’ droppings are all over the pool area, gym equipment is from the 90s. The food in the restaurant is uneatable (apart from the breakfast, it was basic but good). The worst thing about it is that the reception actually only works from 9am-7pm, so if your check out is outside of this frame- the receptionist will call you multiple times asking you to come pay the day before. Isn’t a 24h reception a basic for a 5 star hotel? We also asked for a breakfast basket since we had to leave the hotel 30 min before the breakfast starts (8am) which is a very standard practice. The receptionist lady (hello, Sofia) was extremely rude, her answer was « MADAME, as I said, the breakfast starts at 8, there is nobody to give you food before ». This hotel is the furthest from 5 stars that I’ve ever experienced in my life and I travel very frequently. The receptionist’s attitude is appalling, they will also offer you to get a « touristic taxi » which charges 20 eur for every trip to centre Marrakesh (don’t do it, just use the apps and pay 5-10 eur instead). There are a lot of good hotels in Marrakesh, please stay elsewhere.

Sidi Mimoun
Very suitable for taking pictures, the location of the hotel is actually okay, compared to Marrakesh is not big, before the taxi must tell the driver a good price, from the hotel to the train station to play the train as long as 10, the driver is hard to live 50, it is recommended Fierce

This Hotel has so much potential to be amazing but I have a couple of comments to make. 1. The Hotel is run by very few staff. The few staff that run is are AMAZING but I can't help but feel they are over worked and they're there 24/7. I cannot fault them particularly the guys who are there from breakfast till the bar closes. Hats off to you for being polite, professional and so accommodating despite clearly there not being enough staff. Management I do feel this needs to be addressed. 2. Cleaning staff are amazing. Our room was spotless. Clean towels and bedding every day, so thank you too! Pool was looked after very morning. 3. The hotel grounds are stunning. It's like a little paradise and again spotless. 4. Food. They have the same menu every single day. I suspect due to lack of staff. It gets boring although very nice food, there needs to be some kind of rotation. We paid for all inclusive and had to spend more money to eat out as we needed a change! 5. We had a 2 bedroom family apartment which was huge, beautifully furnished and overlooking the pool. Cannot fault it. 6. Breakfast was disappointing out of all the meals. Very limited and like someone else has said a lot of flies. We ended up not bothering which again was annoying as we had committed to the all inclusive option. Overall this hotel is really lovely and definitely worth a visit and if the staff and menu issues were addressed I would happily give it a 5* review.
Kenzi Rose Garden

The hotel was average the breakfast was average, we had a few issues with not been able to get towels and having to wait hours for someone to bring after ringing reception several times. We also had one instance were we ordered room service and the guy who brought it up didn’t bring any change and just kept it for himself they tend to come up with no change purposely so they can do this. The air-con was awful and definitely don’t work at times. People would also reserve sunbeds and go out for the day which was unfair as you couldn’t get one at times. The pool was great probably the highlight of our trip the location was perfect.
Riad Palais Sebban

The yard is beautiful and exquisite, and the elderly who helped us carry our luggage are great! Room facilities are a bit dated, air-conditioning is blown against the bed, the room booked for two nights is tax-included, but the front desk charged us a tax of 104 dirhams when I left, saying I did n’t understand, but was busy rushing I didn't care so much at the next stop.

This was an amazing hotel off the beaten path in a great neighborhood 15 minutes from just about anything. My room was much bigger than you would expect for the price and the hotel itself was perfect, quiet and luxurious for an incredibly fair price. A well done breakfast every morning, tips for the city, Gilles and his crew went above and beyond in every way.. When I needed help with a spice purchase, not only did Gilles tell me where to go, but he walked me there to help with the translation, who does that?? Gilles does. Plus he was charming and with great wit, it was fun to talk with him about his town. If I ever come back to Marrakech, I won't even consider another hotel, I'd head straight here, where I felt safe and taken care of. 5 STARS all day everyday!!

Very peaceful surroundings with many beautiful friendly peacocks freely walking around. Owner pleasant and lives in the riad. Staff friendly. It’s around twenty minutes out of the city but free transport is laid on if you have booked the through Bookings.com. We did not but it’s easy to get to the city by just walking 5 minutes to the main road….plenty of shared taxis vans and even locals will take you…..1 euro 60p. Nice pool and another large pool ready in a few weeks. Massive gardens with olive and lemon trees. Great stay and will certainly return in the future. Enjoy! We certainly did.
