This stay far exceeded my expectations, a full five stars are a must! As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the enthusiastic front desk lady, who guided me through check-in with a constant smile and thoughtfully informed me about nearby facilities. It instantly washed away my travel fatigue.
The room's cleanliness was what impressed me most. The sheets and bedding were spotless and odorless, the desk and floor were dust-free, and even the bathroom corners were sparkling clean. It made for a truly reassuring stay.

The room was exceptionally well decorated and comfortable, with a view that’s priceless. Breakfast was very good and varied, suitable for different preferences. The highlight is the attention and professionalism of the staff, in particular Lynn and Icey, who were always trying to make our stay more enjoyable. I’m definitely going back

Extremely satisfied, the kind of place I'd stay at again if I visit Liuzhou.
1. The location is excellent. You can see the hot springs from both the room and the rooftop, and it's also very convenient to get to the ground level for prime viewing spots. There are plenty of dining, drinking, and entertainment options nearby. Wuxing Street has lots of great food, like Luosifen (snail noodles), duck feet hotpot, sweet soup, fried ice, etc. There are also many comfortable hair washing places to choose from. You can rent electric scooters right outside, and I easily found a shared Wuling Hongguang (mini-van) just a short walk away. Qingyun Market is also within walking distance.
2. The service is very thoughtful. The housekeeper was very enthusiastic and their suggestions were all helpful. The doorman was especially responsible, always helping with luggage.
3. The room is very spacious, and the pillows are comfortable. There's also parking available downstairs.
4. It's about a 30-minute drive to the train station, and 15 minutes to other destinations.
Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting.
The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes.
One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds.
Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.
1) This hotel is literally situated on the China-Vietnam border. From my room window, I could see Vietnam, and the front desk even warned me that if I had an iPhone, it might pick up signals from the neighboring country and my time zone could change. The rooftop observation deck offers an even better view of the border scenery, encompassing both Dongxing in China and Mong Cai in Vietnam.
2) When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a non-smoking room, and the hotel front desk truly delivered! The floor and room were genuinely free of any secondhand smoke. Honestly, in a fourth-tier city in (what is arguably the world's number one country for secondhand smoke), this was a rare and pleasant surprise.
3) It's quite close to the Dongxing Port, just a 5-minute walk away.
If you want to experience the charm of a border town right from your room, and if you appreciate clean room facilities and fresh, natural air, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My stay at Poetry & Faraway Li River Courtyard definitely didn't disappoint; it truly deserves its spot on the 'Beautiful Scenery' hotel list. I booked a double-sided view room, and as soon as I walked in, I could see both the Li River and Fubo Hill simultaneously. The view was incredibly expansive, and the scenery truly lived up to its reputation.
The room was meticulously clean, the bedding was pristine and soft, and the bathroom had no water stains or odors. You could tell there was a lot of care put into the details, making for a very comfortable and reassuring stay.
The butler service was also very attentive, communicating throughout my stay and helping with travel arrangements, which saved me a lot of hassle. The hotel also has a laundry room, which is very convenient for travelers – a thoughtful detail.
Breakfast was served on the 6th floor, and the Guilin rice noodles were authentic. Eating while enjoying the river view really added to the experience. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I'll definitely consider coming back here on my next visit to Guilin.

Location: Situated in Mixc City, there's a dedicated通道 directly into the mall, which is very convenient.
Room: The experience at the world's tallest Shangri-La is truly exceptional, leaving a lasting impression. I'm grateful the hotel checked us in on the 88th floor, offering an outstanding experience.
Food: Breakfast was impeccable. The areas were clearly defined, with a wide array of delicious food. Signature dishes included Laoyou Noodles, Guilin Rice Noodles, and Luosifen – each noodle dish was a hit, and the chefs were busy but well-organized.
Attractions: It's very close to Qingxiu Mountain, which is a beautiful spot.
Suggestions: During holiday periods, it would be beneficial to increase the number of staff, as the hotel is quite large.

The room was very spacious, with great natural light and ventilation. It was clean and tidy overall, with no unpleasant odors, and even the corners were spotless. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the pillows were just the right height, making for a truly restful sleep. The soundproofing was also excellent; I barely heard any outside noise at night, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. All the room amenities were in perfect working order, including stable air conditioning, bathroom facilities, and internet. The toiletries were high-quality and plentiful, which was a nice touch. The hotel's attention to detail was impressive – the corridors were clean, and the elevator ran smoothly. Yumi and Winnie always greeted me warmly whenever we met, which was lovely. Whenever I had a request and contacted Yumi at the front desk, she responded quickly and resolved issues promptly, always with a patient and professional attitude, never just going through the motions. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to transportation and plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel.

The service was excellent. The front desk staff saw that we had a child with us and thoughtfully moved us to a non-smoking room and even upgraded our stay. The bellhop not only helped with our luggage but also gave us a detailed overview of the hotel's amenities. When checking out, the lobby manager patiently looked after our bags. In short, the hotel staff's service was outstanding, very friendly, and enthusiastic – big thumbs up to them!
Secondly, the hotel's location is superb. It's right behind a bustling commercial area, which is incredibly convenient with a wide variety of shops and products – perfect for a shopping spree. The lobby is clean, bright, and has a pleasant aroma from the scented diffusers and fresh flowers. They also offer delicious fruit tea. The overall atmosphere is fantastic.
The room itself was also very satisfying. It felt quite modern with a unique layout and was spacious enough. The facilities are well-maintained. The gym is clean, tidy, bright, spacious, and well-equipped. The pool water was very clean and at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the shower space was quite roomy. A housekeeper cleans the room daily.
Overall, the value for money is exceptional. If I had to choose again, I would definitely stay here. Highly recommended!

My kids absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave, allowing this mom to relax and enjoy the trip.
We stayed in the Little Yellow Duck family room, which came with a tent, plush toys, and various cartoon-themed soft furnishings. They also provided exclusive children's amenities, showing incredible attention to detail – it was so thoughtful! Right outside our room was the hotel's kids' playground, featuring a ball pit slide, a play kitchen area, and a dress-up corner that my daughter adored. She went wild as soon as we entered and I literally couldn't pull her away; she just wanted to stay and play at the hotel!
The hotel also has a gym, an outdoor pool, an outdoor bar, and a self-service laundry room with sterilization and drying functions. Breakfast is served at the Nai Garden Restaurant, and the ambiance speaks for itself – just look at the pictures! It was incredibly picturesque, especially with a bit of rain, giving off strong Monet vibes. The atmosphere was just perfect! I have to praise the hotel breakfast; the value for money is absolutely amazing. For this price, the breakfast spread was so rich, including Guilin's famous oil tea, rice noodles, Western pastries, and Chinese breakfast items. They even offered cups for free takeaway coffee – as a coffee addict, I had two cups to get my day started ☕️.
On the first floor, the hotel lobby also had a Chinese New Year event where my child experienced making hand-printed good fortune paper, and they even framed her artwork as a gift. My daughter was thrilled!
Across from the hotel is a department store, making shopping and exploring very convenient. It's also very close to Elephant Trunk Hill, Two Rivers and Four Lakes, and the Li River scenic area. Elephant Hill Scenic Area, East-West Alley, and Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street are all within walking distance. Guilin, this picturesque and poetic little city, is truly chill and always uplifting. It's super suitable for a city walk with kids!

TTianlanshuiqingshulvThe location is great! Right outside, you can enjoy night tours and the Gongnong Bridge. You can take a taxi to Jima Pier to take a bamboo raft. After getting off the raft, it's about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. I don't recommend taking the electric shuttle to Jima Pier for the bamboo raft, as you'd have to take another shuttle back to the pier, which is inconvenient. Getting to West Street is also just a taxi ride away, usually around 17 RMB. For food, I suggest trying rice noodles or just grabbing something from the snack stalls on West Street – they're cheap and the taste is decent. The beer fish and beer duck are pretty average, worth trying at most once. On rainy days, I didn't feel like visiting many attractions. My main enjoyment was the bamboo raft ride; the scenery was beautiful.

HHaoyunlailyyThis hotel in Yangshuo was such a pleasant surprise! You get amazing mountain views right from your room. The rooftop 'Sky Mirror' offers stunning panoramic views of the winding Li River – it's like a built-in filter for your photos, every shot looks professional! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to West Street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. Plus, there's free parking, which is a huge bonus if you're driving.
They offer a complimentary buffet breakfast, and the rooms are spacious. I loved relaxing on the balcony sofa during the day, just unwinding and enjoying the mountain scenery, and then watching the sunset in the evening – it felt like time just slowed down. The room I booked even had a soaking tub, and bathing while looking at the mountains was incredibly relaxing! For anyone looking to escape the city for a bit, a weekend here is truly rejuvenating!
HHuke_ZCame to Nanning with my girlfriend to experience the highest LC in China. Staying during the off-season offered great value for money. What truly stood out was the hotel staff – they are absolutely top-notch, the best I've encountered in luxury hotels. The decor is well-done with nice, quality details. The swimming pool is beautiful and features their iconic logo. Overall, highly recommended. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanning.

YYY9991As a Ctrip Black Diamond member, this was my first time staying at a guesthouse, and it was a delightful surprise! Besides the room layout which wasn't quite to my taste, everything else was simply perfect. I highly recommend other hotels learn from their butler service here. The butler manages absolutely everything, big or small, offering a comprehensive, one-stop service for dining, accommodation, and travel. They handle all discounts that apply, and every staff member seems ready to assist you at a moment's notice. They even helped me book tickets for the Liu Sanjie show and 'Eternal Love' performance. Just tell them what you need, and they'll solve it. The à la carte dishes at the restaurant were also amazing; I ate till I was stuffed every time. Breakfast was decent. It's definitely worth experiencing. Finally, I wish all the staff good luck in the Year of the Horse and a prosperous business!

AArio73This hotel is a wonderful place to unwind for anyone looking to escape the stress of city life. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptionally attentive every member of staff welcomed us warmly and always greeted us with a genuine smile.
The rooms are beautifully designed in a timeless style. What stood out to me most was the high level of cleanliness and the excellent amenities. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and you hardly want to leave your balcony. We also had a private whirlpool, which was perfect for this time of year and made our stay even more relaxing.
I would especially like to praise the housekeeping staff. The ladies did an outstanding job—everything was spotless, hygienic, and cleaned very thoroughly.
Another true highlight was the incredible food experience. Every afternoon we were treated to attentive afternoon service with desserts that were clearly prepared with love and care.
The breakfast deserves special mention. I have stayed at some of the best five-star resorts, and I can honestly say that the quality of the breakfast buffet here was outstanding. While it is smaller than those of large resort chains, it clearly follows the philosophy of quality over quantity, and nothing was missing. Many of the vegetables came from the hotel’s own garden, which made the experience feel even more authentic and fresh. The soup selection was excellent, and the beef soup was rich and generous—you could truly taste the passion and love the chef puts into their work.
The surrounding area offers several attractions, although some are unfortunately closed during the winter season. I would recommend arriving by car so you can visit places like the nearby waterfall and other sights. My only small criticism would be that the hotel could offer more excursion options for guests without a car. That said, we really appreciated that on our first evening we were kindly driven to the nearby small town for dinner.
The resort is also very family-friendly and offers a variety of activities for both adults and children, such as magnet crafting, fishing, and sports activities like yoga.
A very thoughtful gesture was made at checkout, when we were given rice from the hotel’s own cultivation. This was something I truly appreciated and found very meaningful.
I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone. My husband and I would love to return—next time in spring.
AAnonymous UserStepping in, I thought I'd arrived at a fake Shangri-La. It's quite an old hotel, facing an unfinished building, and the environment was the worst I've experienced at any Shangri-La. Two of the welcome fruits had rotten spots, they weren't cleaned properly, and felt sticky, so I didn't dare eat them. I even thought the bottled water was fake because there was some condensation around the neck. The duvet was quite old, and the room itself was old and dim. The backyard was okay, and the breakfast was very good though.

GGuest UserA hidden gem of a resort nestled amidst the mountains and rivers – my top pick when visiting Yangshuo! My family and I chose the TUI Blue Hotel for our trip to Yangshuo, and we loved how it's built into the hillside, away from the hustle and bustle of the town center. The room was incredibly spacious, and the toiletries were of exceptional quality. The entire place was spotless and odor-free; housekeeping did an outstanding job. The pool directly faces the stunning mountain views, making it perfect for photos. Whether you're on a romantic getaway or a family vacation, this hotel is a fantastic choice. It's also conveniently located near 'Impression Liu Sanjie' and the Yulong River bamboo rafting. Absolutely wonderful!
