I had a 16-hour layover in Qingdao, so I decided to check out hotels near the airport. I ended up booking the Bangchen Hotel at the terminal, but when I arrived, I was upgraded to the Junting Hotel – they seem to be under the same ownership! To get there from the airport's arrival level, you take the elevator to departure level A. There's a special passage next to the meeting point, and then you just follow the signs. It's super convenient and you don't have to worry about the weather! The hotel lobby is very grand, and the room was quite spacious. I particularly liked the beautiful sink in the bathroom! Even though it's right next to the airport, there was virtually no noise, which was great! The only issue was that my room was right by the elevator, which is why I gave a lower service rating. I'd suggest that when the hotel isn't busy, they avoid assigning guests rooms next to the elevator. After all, many guests stay here for early morning flights, so the sound of doors closing and people talking in the elevator area can be quite noisy and disturb sleep.

Overall, it's a standard five-star hotel, decent but nothing extraordinary – no major downsides, but no 'wow' factor either. Its main selling point is its affordability and reliability.
💰 **Incredible Value for Money**
Seriously, the value is unbeatable. Around 400 RMB a night, and with breakfast, it's about 500 RMB. Staying in a five-star hotel for about 250 RMB per person? That's an amazing deal for Yantai. If you're on a budget but still want a star-rated hotel, this is a no-brainer.
📍 **Super Convenient Location**
It's right across from Suochengli, so you can explore on foot. Getting a taxi to anywhere else is also easy, making it super convenient for tourists.
🛏️ **Hardware is Spot-On**
The bedding and bathrooms are up to par. All the hardware you'd expect from a five-star hotel meets the standards, ensuring a comfortable stay without compromise.
🍞 **Breakfast is Standard Fare**
They have everything you'd expect from a typical five-star breakfast. You'll eat well and be full, just don't expect anything mind-blowing.
💁♀️ **Service is Neither Good Nor Bad**
Basic services are fine; the check-in process goes smoothly. However, the efficiency is average, and there are no thoughtful little surprises – it's just very ordinary.
❌ **Two Minor Gripes I Must Mention**
1. The room lighting is too dim. It's not 'mood lighting'; it's genuinely hard to see. It's just too dark.
2. The TV doesn't support screen mirroring. The facilities feel a bit dated. Don't just rely on past glory; a little modernization would be nice.
👫 **Who is this hotel suitable for?**
- Traveling with friends or parents.
- Those who spend most of their time exploring and dining out, not looking to lounge at the hotel or seeking extreme service.
- Anyone who wants to stay in a five-star hotel, save money, and prioritizes value for money.
✅ **Summary:**
For value for money, this is definitely a top choice in Yantai. A five-star with breakfast for around 500 RMB is an absolute steal. If you're looking for attentive service or trendy facilities, you might want to consider other options.

When I think of the luxury hotels in Jinan, each has its own charm and highlights. But for overall quality and personal preference, the InterContinental Jinan consistently ranks first. Even after all these years, its unbeatable location, elegant and stately style, and meticulous service philosophy continue to win me over time and again.
This time, I was revisiting with my elders and also had a small child with me, so naturally, I had more concerns and needs. Our butler, Lily, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. She proactively contacted me a day in advance to discuss our check-in preferences and any special arrangements. This dedication translated into wonderful surprises on the day of arrival – not only was our room upgraded, but both rooms were conveniently located next to each other, making it exceptionally easy to look after both the elders and the child. The view from the window was expansive and clear, with delightful scenery.
Our rooms were spotlessly clean and tidy. The bedding maintained the brand's usual high standards, soft and comfortable, ensuring a completely restful night's sleep. The food at the executive lounge was exquisite and delicious, with mild flavors that the little one particularly enjoyed. Breakfast offered a rich variety and consistent quality, maintaining its exceptional standard, with nothing to fault from taste to detail. Throughout our stay, service was prompt and responsive, always accommodating and considerate, making the entire experience worry-free and comfortable.
The only minor regret was our tight schedule, which prevented us from trying the Thai cuisine. We'll have to save that for a dedicated visit next time.
A big thank you again to butler Lily for her meticulous care and thoughtful arrangements throughout our stay, making this family trip complete and heartwarming. The InterContinental Jinan, as always, exceeded expectations. We look forward to returning soon.

Booked an Executive King room, but since it wasn't available, the front desk attendant kindly upgraded me to an apartment suite. What more could I ask for?
Seriously, nothing but praise.
The Executive Lounge's Happy Hour offers plenty of food; if you really try, you can certainly fill up. Normally, no one mixes drinks there, but I insisted and they made me a Gin and Tonic. A little later, I went back for another, jokingly asking if a Gin and Tonic was really that challenging. They relented and concocted a passionfruit-infused drink with tonic – I forget what liquor was in it – but it was sweet and quite delicious. They truly made something out of nothing, as all the colored syrups were gone. So grateful, truly grateful.
From the living room, you get a panoramic, unobstructed view of Quancheng Square, and you can see the Guohua InterContinental across the way. I specifically checked at night, and thankfully, no one was flying drones, which is a HUGE plus.
Breakfast had a decent variety, pretty standard. Besides their special omelet-wrapped everything, I highly recommend 'Bazi Rou' (braised pork) when you're in Jinan. The presentation is plain, even uglier than what you'd find at Chaoyixing, and it comes in small pieces, but the flavor is spot on – absolutely delicious.
In the suite, they provided a bunch of random samples – all the toiletries were miniatures. I looked them up and they were Acqua di Parma. I didn't recognize the brand, so I just took them all home. Before leaving, I even called housekeeping to request another set. We Shangri-La members are basically beggars, after all.
The pool was also excellent – clean and not crowded. Swimming next to the 'Eye of Quancheng' really is a unique experience. The sauna and steam rooms were also well-maintained.
Right across from the hotel is Jinan's traditional CBD (though there's a proper, newer CBD now, quite far away). I recommend crossing through the Hang Lung Plaza opposite, and just a short walk away, you'll find Yanxi Tang, whose scallion oil carp was unexpectedly delicious.
Finally, I'd like to give a special shout-out to two staff members: Niki at the front desk and He Mengyao at the lounge. Thanks to their professional service, our trip concluded perfectly. We will definitely be back.

The room was spacious and quiet, and the environment was clean, typical of an established five-star hotel. I woke up early and went for a swim in the pool; it's 25x10 meters, with excellent water quality and a comfortable temperature. The breakfast selection was rich and varied. Perhaps due to the Spring Festival, it was extremely crowded, but the management was well-organized, with staff guiding guests to tables. I wanted to take two eggs for my child who was still sleeping in and asked a staff member for a takeaway box, but they didn't provide one, stating that my booking only included one breakfast and take-away wasn't allowed. I must have overlooked this when booking, so I can't blame them. There was ample parking, though it's quite deep, on level B4. The MixC shopping mall and May Fourth Square are just a convenient 10-minute walk away.

This was the warmest trip ever! We chose this hotel for my child's birthday. The overall environment and service were top-notch, especially Judy and Sally. After I casually mentioned it was my child's birthday, they proactively prepared a birthday cake. The service was fantastic! Next time we visit Rizhao, Sheraton will definitely be our first choice. The service, environment, and scenery are all perfect, especially the executive room which faces the sea directly. My child was super excited!

The overall service was exceptional. Someone helped with our luggage as soon as we got out of the car, and the front desk staff were fantastic – even better than the service at Shangri-La! I rarely write such long reviews, but the view from the 'influencer' room was absolutely stunning. It would have been even better if the breakfast selection was a bit more varied.
This stay was incredibly satisfying, everything deserves a perfect five-star rating! The hotel environment was clean and comfortable, with warm and elegant decor, creating a wonderful overall atmosphere that's great for photos. The staff were enthusiastic and attentive, responding promptly and communicating smoothly. We needed to change rooms midway through our stay, and it was handled quickly and efficiently with no hassle at all. A special thanks to Lora for her thoughtful and meticulous service throughout – truly patient and professional, making our stay peaceful and comfortable. Highly recommend, I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip!

It's been ten years since I last visited Qingdao, and returning to this beautiful coastal city after a decade brought back so many memories. This time, I chose the well-established Shangri-La. Although the hotel has been around for a while, it's very well-maintained, and the location is excellent, being very close to May Fourth Square with a subway station right outside. My stay was packed with activities. One evening, returning to the hotel's front desk, I was surprised and delighted to overhear a manager speaking Cantonese. He spoke fluent Hong Kong-style Cantonese, and it was such a pleasant surprise to meet a fellow Cantonese speaker so far away in Qingdao. His way of speaking made us feel incredibly welcome and familiar. In the lobby, he recommended several different restaurants based on our preferences, and not a single one was a disappointment – I'm so grateful to him! He was truly wonderful and his service was incredibly thoughtful. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time; it's a truly convenient hotel and highly recommended.

Dongying Wanda Realm hotel is very comfortable and the best I have stayed in Dongying. Spacious, quality rooms, very clean with excellent facilities, particularly the pool and gym, and with very attentive, pleasant and helpful staff, especially Andrew who has provided excellent assistance over my many stays. Highly recommended for short or long stays as the go-to hotel in Dongying.

LllsadeThis is a great airport hotel with good value for money. The food and drinks aren't overpriced, and the breakfast spread is excellent. Parking is convenient, and the staff are warm and attentive. Plus, there's a dedicated walkway to the terminal and transportation hub, which is really handy.

MMaberaeA Truly Memorable Stay – Can’t Wait to Return!
Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing. Tucked away in a peaceful and quiet area, it was the perfect escape from the usual hustle and bustle of everyday life. The surroundings were simply breathtaking — the views alone made the trip unforgettable!
The room and amenities were impeccably maintained, offering both comfort and convenience. Dining was a highlight — both the Japanese restaurant and the buffet served absolutely exquisite meals that we’re still talking about.
What truly made our stay special, though, was the incredible hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Nancy, Kitty, and Aria for going above and beyond to make our experience the best ever. You made us feel truly welcome and cared for.
My family and I are already planning our return — this time for a longer stay, and we hope to try out the water sports as well. Can’t recommend this place enough!

GGuest UserLocated in Luozhuang District, the hotel is very grand, covers a very large area, and the hotel's interior is also quite high-end. I chose the Octonauts parent-child room, which is located on the 17th floor. The view is particularly good, the waiter's attitude is also very good, and the children's breakfast is free. The breakfast is rich in variety. I will come again next time I have the chance! !

GGuest UserWe were a family of three checking in on March 26th. Joy, the lady with glasses who checked us in, was incredibly warm and attentive, always serving us with a smile. She was very friendly and even upgraded us to a suite. She thoughtfully sent up a bathtub liner for us, and the ice and spoon we requested arrived in our room very quickly. She also helped my husband switch to a buckwheat pillow. When we asked for housekeeping during our stay, she even folded our pajamas neatly. Our 2-night stay was excellent, and we'll definitely choose an InterContinental hotel again in the future.

GGuest UserHuge thanks to the hotel staff for their warm hospitality! They made my stay incredibly convenient.
As I'm from Germany and don't have a Chinese phone, I couldn't get online. The staff went above and beyond, helping me set up internet access on my phone. They even provided me with a delicious breakfast free of charge!
The hotel room was spacious, clean, and came with a super comfortable large bed.
I traveled from Germany to Jinan for surgery, and being able to return to the hotel for a good rest after my operation was a huge relief!
Today, at check-out, they even gave me a lovely pastry as a farewell gift!
Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality! I hope to have the opportunity to visit Jinan again and stay at your hotel once more!
