"Pretty hotel in pretty old ancient buildings. Lots of high curbs in the hotel. The staffs were very helpful with our luggage. Every corner of the hotel looks pretty and photogenic. The welcome tea is nice! The hotel lobby with wooden high ceiling is so impressive and pretty. The tea rooms that we can choose to have our breakfast are pretty and aircon cooling too.
The hotel room looks so much better than the pictures in their booking site. High ceiling, warm note and comes with a comfortable soothing wooden smell.
The bathroom comes with ancient look door with wooden planks and in btw can be look through, but overall looks new and clean. Amazed by the bidet toilet in the ancient wooden setting. Its a good mix of modern and ancient in the most appropriate way. We almost didn't feel like leaving the hotel. Bathtub outside looks so pretty as well, especially on rainy days and early mornings, but we were worried about the mosquitos.
The hotel is 1 minute away from the main shopping/touristy street, and you can get all the teas and gifts from there.
Note that the hotel is located far from the main road. Nearest road side for dropoff and boarding is at the Starbucks, which sometimes seems far when you are tired and seems near when you leave the hotel for the day. About 8 mins walk away i think. There are little shops along the way as well. And the street looks super cool at night with all the lanterns along the way. As mentioned earlier, the hotel staffs gladly helped you with your luggage to the boarding point.

"We stayed at the Hotel Indigo Xiamen Haicang during our family trip to Xiamen, and it exceeded our expectations! Before coming, I was a bit worried about hygiene based on a few online reviews, but my actual experience put all those concerns to rest. The room cleaning was meticulous, and all the towels were individually sealed and odorless. The location is definitely the biggest highlight. It's close to the subway, and a short walk to the ferry terminal. This was super convenient for taking a boat to Gulangyu Island in the evening without having to hail a taxi with our luggage. It was also easy to get to Zhongshan Road for food. We chose an interior room, and the soundproofing was excellent; it was quiet at night, and the mattress was comfortable, which was great for resting with a child. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and they also offered luggage storage. The breakfast included local specialties like 'mianxian paste' and 'satay noodles'. Overall, it offers great value for money. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Xiamen!"

The guy at the front desk was really enthusiastic and gave us lots of great tips for sightseeing. Definitely excellent value for money."

"If you come to Xiamen to relax near the sea, I think this one is not bad. The room is relatively clean, the feeling of a small resort, it is very convenient to call a car, go out to the beach, cross the road, suitable for children to catch the sea to play in the sand ～ Just order something to dig sand to catch the sea. It is quite suitable for children to rest, and the baby likes it very much. The hotel has a good view and the room type is not bad. If you want to visit the attractions, this one is a little farther away from the attractions and the like, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive. There is no food around, basically relying on takeaway, or come back after eating. Next time I go again, I will consider this one for leisure and vacation. I personally think it is in the same price range, the price is relatively high, and it is excellent value for money."

"Choosing this Greentree Eastern Hotel for my Xiamen trip was such a great decision! The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. ShunjianI was extremely satisfied with my stay. The hostess was very thoughtful, contacting me in advance to set up a dedicated chat group. After checking in, I found the environment to be quiet and peaceful. Every detail in the lobby and room felt very well thought out. Dining in the basement in the evening was also very approachable, and the taste offered incredible value for money. It's also very close to the scenic area's south entrance, just a six-minute drive away.

The hotel front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is quite good, close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and the Eighth Market area, where there's an abundance of delicious food. With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, it's been very lively in the evenings. The hotel room's toiletries were also complete, and the space was large. Overall, it was pretty good.

I had several questions that needed answering, and she didn't just brush them off; instead, she explained each one in detail and even proactively offered thoughtful reminders about various considerations. She handled tasks in an organized and swift manner, resolving issues without guests needing to constantly follow up. She treated every guest equally, maintaining a patient and kind service attitude at all times. Her service was both professional and empathetic. It's rare to find such an outstanding and thoughtful staff member; I truly felt her dedication. Highly recommended, full marks!

The hotel is right next to the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for transportation. Sandy at the front desk was very welcoming and provided excellent service. The room was quite spacious, well-equipped, with comfortable bedding and a beautiful view. Our private butler and cleaning attendant, Auntie Ye, was incredibly thoughtful. She provided a complimentary bubble bath, thoroughly disinfected all the bathroom fixtures, supplied almost every toiletry imaginable, and even offered a selection of different pillows. She also promptly reported any facility issues for repair. Additionally, she gave us Xiamen souvenirs, offered bedtime drinks like hot milk and chrysanthemum tea, and thoughtfully turned down our bed with lavender aromatherapy. The executive lounge was refined and had a great atmosphere, with a wide variety of food and drinks. The bartender at the lobby bar on the first floor was very approachable, and they also offered a range of beverages and snacks. A complimentary laundry service was provided once a day. Breakfast was extensive and unique. Overall, a fantastic stay!

Traveling to Wuyishan during the off-season was wonderful; the autumn scenery was absolutely stunning with everything golden-hued. I specifically chose a guesthouse to better appreciate Wuyishan's natural beauty. Shuizhuang No. 8 Guesthouse is truly nestled within a park, offering distant mountain views and a close-up look at the river while you sip tea and admire the ginkgo trees right outside your door. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the surroundings are also quiet and comfortable. It's conveniently located with great transport links, and both the dining and accommodation are excellent. The service is warm and courteous, and the staff are very prompt in providing assistance. I'd highly recommend staying here over a hotel!

SanmaobanchangFive-star rating for the front desk and lobby staff – they were incredibly warm and attentive. The hotel's location and surroundings are also great. However, the pool opening hours are too late. My kids were really looking forward to the pool, but it doesn't open until 3 PM, so we completely missed out. Also, the breakfast area was stifling hot; it's just not right to not have air conditioning on in this weather.

1️⃣ Seeing that we had elderly people with us, they thoughtfully asked if we preferred a bathtub or a walk-in shower.
2️⃣ Since my phone couldn't log into local platforms, the staff were also very enthusiastic in helping us with our bookings.
3️⃣ What impressed me most was the attitude of the hotel staff; everyone had a wonderful smile. Even though we checked in late at night the day before, the service remained very thoughtful, which made us feel so warm and welcome. ❤️

Anonymous UserWe received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

YadianyangyaoI brought my family to Xiamen this time and chose the Wyndham Yu Zhou, and overall we were quite satisfied with our stay. Our butler, Evelyn, was very thoughtful. A particularly memorable detail was the aromatherapy experience upon check-in. I initially thought it was just a small touch, but the subtle fragrance immediately made us feel like our 'vacation had begun.' It definitely added a special sense of ritual compared to the standard check-in process at other hotels 🌿.
If you're traveling with kids, the hotel's family fun zone is truly commendable! It's quite spacious, and the children got completely absorbed in playing, allowing the adults to finally relax a bit. For family trips, I think having a dedicated play area for kids at the hotel is crucial; otherwise, you're constantly rushing between attractions or entertaining the kids, which can be exhausting.
The overall atmosphere of the hotel is also very comfortable, without feeling particularly noisy. Breakfast was my favorite type – a rich selection and delicious too. It was great not having to rush out to find food in the morning; we could enjoy a leisurely meal before heading out. The staff overall provided attentive service, and communication was smooth whenever we needed anything.
The biggest feeling I got from this stay was 'peace of mind.' We didn't have to pack our itinerary too tightly; we could find our own relaxing time right at the hotel. If you're bringing family to Xiamen, I think this is indeed a great choice ~ ☺️
