The environment here is absolutely fantastic! Coming to Fuzhou with so many Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, I initially chose a guesthouse converted from an ancient building, and I wasn't disappointed at all.
The hygiene is excellent, with no unpleasant odors whatsoever. It's worth mentioning how lovely the shampoo is; at previous hotels, my hair would always feel dry after washing, but here it feels great. The activities in the courtyard are perfect for kids, like calligraphy tools and the old-fashioned well for drawing water. While playing, a faint scent of osmanthus would occasionally drift by. You can truly relax and unwind without even needing to leave the property.
Opening the door in the morning, you're greeted by the vibrant atmosphere of an old residential neighborhood – the smell of residents cooking dinner, the scent of wood emanating from the old houses, and the sound of footsteps on the wooden廊 (corridor). It was enough to calm even the most mischievous child.

## Review
**Ambiance:** I'd say it was just okay, a traditional five-star hotel setup, pretty standard. But I'm not sure if it's because of the humidity in the south, but there was an indescribable smell when I entered the room.
**Cleanliness:** The room itself was decent. However, some of the cutlery in the restaurant was a bit dirty. You can see it in the picture if you zoom in – there were hard white spots on the knife.
**Service:** The cleaning staff in the guest rooms were very friendly and responsive to requests. However, the front desk service on the 40th floor was just mediocre. I've stayed in many five-diamond hotels of major brands in various cities, and in other cities, the staff always made me feel right at home. But in Fuzhou, they were quite indifferent. The only contact was a perfunctory follow-up call after checking out. I think you could learn from practices in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions, as well as Guangdong. They often have dedicated butlers, and both the front desk and butlers actively contact guests, checking in and showing genuine care. Especially in Guangzhou, the service is so good it almost makes you feel embarrassed!
**Food:** The breakfast offered mostly local specialties. I'm someone who isn't usually picky, but I found many dishes unappetizing, and the variety wasn't great. I suppose it's understandable if they're trying to cut costs.
**Overall, I didn't have a good experience!**

Every year when I come to Xiamen, I stay at the Swiss Grand for a few days, and this is my fourth time. What attracts me most to the Swiss Grand is its excellent location and rooms directly facing Gulangyu Island. I have to say, the Swiss Grand meets all my needs for a trip to Xiamen.
First, let's talk about the location. It's situated in the heart of Siming District, right next to Zhongshan Road. You can walk to Bashi Market, the Botanical Garden, and Xiamen Ferry Terminal. Taking a taxi to Nanputuo Temple, Shapowei, the Twin Towers, and Xiamen University is always just the starting fare. The Exit to the hotel is also the starting station of Metro Line 1, which goes directly to Gaoqi Airport.
Then there's the room facing Gulangyu Island – it's absolutely unbeatable! It completely matches my aesthetic. Whenever I sit by the floor-to-ceiling window in my room, enjoying the beautiful Gulangyu Island opposite, with a cup of black tea, I feel utterly content. What's even more impressive is that the room is very spacious, well-equipped, and the quality is consistently high. It offers excellent value for money!
The breakfast is very rich, with a wide variety of Western and Chinese options, plus local specialties – you name it, they have it, and it all tastes great. The service is excellent; the greeters at the entrance are very attentive. The front desk was a bit ordinary, but customer service responded promptly and was always helpful.
The only slight drawback was the slow check-in process. This might be due to the hotel being fully booked during the Chinese New Year holiday, but it also reflects that the hotel doesn't have good solutions for handling such surges in guests. We waited over an hour to check in, and at that time, one guest had waited three hours and still hadn't gotten into their room, and ended up arguing with the front desk... This had a very negative impact on the hotel's image. I hope they can further improve their management during holidays!

This stay was absolutely fantastic! I stayed for three nights in total, experiencing two different room types. The first night, I had the rooftop room with a private hot spring tub. The terrace offered breathtaking views, perfect for enjoying stunning sunsets and a wonderful ambiance. I also got to experience the tea ceremony suite, which was equally distinctive with its elegant and comfortable design. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the front desk service was incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel very comfortable. Tucked away in a residential area, it offered a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, yet was conveniently located near attractions and the subway, making getting around a breeze. The room types are also very family-friendly, with suitable space and layout. It was an extremely satisfying stay, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

I don't usually take pictures of hotels, so I'll just share some photos of the surrounding area. This is a new hotel, and we always prefer staying in new hotels because it generally guarantees better hygiene. The staff were excellent, very responsive to all our requests, and had a great attitude. However, the only drawback is the scarcity of elevators. There are only three elevators serving the guest rooms, and during peak morning hours, it's like trying to squeeze into a work elevator – whether you get in or not is purely down to luck. One morning, I waited 10 minutes just to get downstairs, which was really frustrating.
The location is great, less than 3km from Shangxiahang and under 4km from Sanfang Qixiang. Taxis don't cost much, and it's just a stone's throw from Shuibu Station on Line 2, which is super convenient. The breakfast offers a wide variety, though the quality isn't top-tier. You can find many Fuzhou snacks like Laohua, Guobian Fish Ball Soup, Rouyan, and Peanut Soup here, so you don't have to brave the crowds for those 'buried' snacks in the scenic spots. However, the baked goods aren't very tasty.

The environment is quite enchanting. Our room was on the outer perimeter, but unfortunately, there's a villa being built next door. It didn't affect us since we were out most of the day, but if you plan on relaxing in the room, it can get a bit noisy (though earplugs are provided in the room).
This hotel is great for those who enjoy morning runs or walks. You can use your room key to access the Chongyang Stream scenic trail by the river, offering beautiful mountain views. The hotel's breakfast buffet is really good, with a decent variety. You absolutely *must* try the lard noodles and Zixi noodles, loaded with toppings – they're super delicious! In the room, having two sinks is very convenient for two people, but a small detail to note: the inner rim of the washbasin area should be cleaned regularly to prevent mold. There's also a good selection of pillows to choose from, so you can find one that suits you. The hotel also offers some nice free experiences, like various handicraft workshops. We didn't try the travel photography though.

An extremely satisfying stay. The B&B is located right inside Sanfang Qixiang (Three Lanes and Seven Alleys), giving it an excellent location. One turn takes you to the main street of Sanfang Qixiang, and in the other direction are Dongbai Center and the subway station. You can order takeout from virtually all the trendy Fuzhou restaurants you can think of. The B&B's decor is very antique and charming, yet it doesn't lack essential modern and stylish facilities. What truly stands out is the service. From picking us up at the subway station upon arrival, to helping us wash and dry our clothes, to the daily breakfast featuring a changing variety of local Fuzhou snacks, and finally to helping us load our luggage into the car and even sending us off with some fruit when we checked out – we truly felt at home. Although one night we didn't sleep well due to noisy neighbors, we informed the manager the next day, and he promptly helped us by moving our room to a quieter area. Ban She is highly recommended to all tourists who wish to stay in Sanfang Qixiang.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views of the beach that will leave you speechless. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, making you feel like you're in a paradise.
But what truly made our stay exceptional was our driver. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly throughout our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, he was warm and welcoming, making us feel at ease. His professionalism and courtesy were evident in every interaction, and he went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met.
What's even more remarkable is that despite his exceptional service, he refused to accept any tips. His kindness and generosity truly made our stay memorable.
If you're looking for a hotel that offers not only stunning views but also exceptional service, look no further. This hotel is a must-book, especially if you're looking for a beach view. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
As soon as you see the pictures of this hotel, you'll know why it's a gem. The beach views are simply stunning, and the hotel's amenities are top-notch. Don't hesitate – book your stay as soon as possible.

The concierge service was excellent, with welcome fruits and thoughtful care for elderly guests. The facilities are comprehensive, including a terrace, gym, and swimming pool. Although the hotel is located on the east bank of Xiamen Island, making it a bit far from major attractions, the shuttle service provided is very convenient. A special shout-out to Ms. Xiao Meiling from the lobby staff; she was incredibly responsive when I requested a car. Many thanks!

The best decision for the 2026 Chinese New Year! Due to changes in our holiday schedule, we only had three days. I checked Ctrip, and Fuzhou's flight prices hadn't increased. We wanted somewhere with a beach and warm weather, and the Haiyingwan Hotel met all our needs. Perfect for a seaside stroll with the kids!
The breakfast was absolutely amazing – they had Fuzhou fish balls and 'guo bian' (local rice-flour soup), plus a wide variety of Western and Chinese options. We stayed in Building 2, and the ocean was just a three-minute walk away. During low tide, the kids were so engrossed in collecting shells they didn't want to leave. The sand was fine and soft; it was incredibly relaxing, especially if you just want to entertain kids and seniors. Even my 73-year-old mother loved it.
The hotel grounds are like a park. For kids who love planes, this is a treat! I heard it's the only seaside airport, so you can watch planes to your heart's content. It's not noisy at night either; with the windows closed, you can barely hear anything.
**Amenities:** Very child-friendly, everything you need is there.
**Hygiene:** Excellent.
**Environment:** A coastal garden.
**Service:** Excellent.
**2-3 Person Family Package:** Truly too much food, I suggest they make it available for lunch as well in the future.
**Fuzhou Airport Shuttle:** Departs every 30 minutes, always ready to go.
**Seaside Mini Train:** Absolutely a favorite for little ones.

11399861****The owner upgraded us to a spacious family room with a balcony, which was fully equipped. They thoughtfully prepared snacks, tea bags, and various daily necessities for guests. Although these weren't expensive items, you could feel the owner's attentiveness and how well they considered their guests' needs. The front desk also offered complimentary local specialty Dahongpao tea eggs for guests. The owner helped us book tickets for the 'Impression Dahongpao' show, which were cheaper than buying directly and had better seats, allowing us to participate in the interactive parts of the performance. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay and definitely worth recommending.
GGuest UserThe hotel room was well-equipped with toiletries, including facial cleanser, makeup remover, and hair gel. The staff's service attitude was also quite good. Its location near Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street makes getting around very convenient. It's also close to the pier attractions, and downstairs there's a map highlighting local sights. They even provide complimentary snacks and drinks, which is a nice touch.
GGuest UserThis is hands down the best hot spring hotel I've stayed at all year! I regret not coming sooner!
✅ Private hot spring perfection: The room comes with its own hot spring tub, so you can soak whenever you want with ultimate privacy. The hot spring water is so smooth, my skin felt amazing after a soak!
✅ Super attentive service: They were incredibly responsive to every request.
✅ Incredibly photogenic: The hotel has such a great design; every corner is a photo opportunity.
Definitely the perfect choice to escape the city hustle and bustle and recharge. Go for it!
AAnonymous UserStumbled upon a Ctrip gem, this B&B was a delightful surprise during my Wuyishan trip. The scenery here is stunning, easily rivaling the Nine-Bend Stream. The owner is incredibly warm and provides excellent service. They even upgraded our room for free, offered complimentary fruit, tea eggs, and health-boosting tea, and the breakfast spread was generous. Their tea factory produces delicious tea, and they even gifted us some when we left. This B&B offers great value for money, especially for someone as particular about cleanliness as I am – I couldn't find a single flaw, even in the nooks and crannies. Highly recommended!
YYigerendexingli-Traveling during the off-season 🏃 was incredibly comfortable!
This is an old-school state guesthouse, nestled against Dawang Peak, boasting a superb natural environment. The room layout was also very comfortable. The hotel grounds felt extensive enough for a half-day stroll, and a walk up the back hill was quite enjoyable. Plus, there's a cute little dog! 🐶
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient, right outside Jianye Road Station on Line 2. It's easy to catch a taxi to various attractions, and the Dongdu Passenger Terminal is about a 20-minute walk away. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and they arranged our two rooms next to each other. It's an older hotel, but the facilities are well-maintained, and the cleanliness is top-notch. Ye Meilan, who was in charge of cleaning our room, is a very enthusiastic and meticulous employee. It was my child's birthday during our stay, and she helped us decorate the room, replaced the batteries in the fairy lights, and even placed a small hand towel specifically on the bathroom sink. She also gave us some great recommendations for attractions in Xiamen. The afternoon tea and evening happy hour food at the executive lounge were both fresh and delicious. We had a minor issue on the first day, and Yao Jieyi, a young lady at the executive lounge, was very serious and responsible in communicating with us. The duty manager that day also responded and resolved it quickly. Later, the hotel's General Manager, Mr. Jin, also followed up, showing how much the hotel values even small issues and resolves them quickly and well. The hotel breakfast offers a rich variety, beyond the usual star-rated hotel options, including local Xiamen specialties like 'mianxian hu' (vermicelli paste). The breakfast hostess was also very professional and had an amazing memory; on our second visit, she remembered us and led us to the same table we had sat at the first day, saying it was 'our usual spot.' We received welcome fruit, a mini-bar, and free parking. Laundry sent in the morning was returned to our room by the afternoon, which was a great touch! 👍🏻 In short, all departments at the hotel have very enthusiastic and professional staff. I will definitely choose Pan Pacific Hotel again next time I visit Xiamen.
KKuailedechihuo~Our king-size room had windows on both sides, which was great for ventilation and offered a glimpse of the sea and Gulangyu Island. The location is excellent, right near Heping Wharf, close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and Bashi Market, and only about 200-300 meters from the subway station, making it very convenient for getting around. The gym was under renovation and unavailable. The breakfast selection was decent, featuring local specialties like Shacha noodles, Mianxian paste, and peanut soup. However, some dishes were a bit greasy, and there weren't many steamed options. The milk and soy milk were instant powder mixes, but everything else was fine.
MM13988****I stayed at this hotel in Xiamen back in 2017, when it had just opened, and I was really impressed with both the room facilities and the service. For this family trip, I specifically chose to come back here. The location is super convenient, right next to Powerlong One Mall, and most importantly, I honestly couldn't find another place with better value for money for this two-bedroom type (in my opinion)! However, I have to admit the rooms are definitely showing their age. And for some reason, this room type had a strong smell. We switched to another room which was a bit better, but there was still a musty odor. The staff's service attitude was impeccable, though. I guess it's all about the value for money here.

SShiqingtianaThis time, the experience of staying at the B&B in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian was perfect! The sanitary conditions were very clean, and every corner was tidy and organized, making people feel at ease. The environment around the B&B was quiet, and the neat courtyard design added a bit of elegance. It is particularly worth mentioning that the tea provided here is of high quality. A cup of tea is fragrant and mellow, which makes people have endless aftertaste. The overall feeling is very comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle, and I will choose to stay here next time! Highly recommended.
Rrose_huI booked this hotel last minute because I wanted to go sailing from Wuyuan Bay, and it turned out to be surprisingly good! Upon check-in, I was upgraded to a sea-view room. The bathtub was huge, and I could enjoy the sea view from both the bathroom and the room. The breakfast was also very generous, offering specialty snacks from Xiamen like tofu pudding, satay noodles, flour paste, and peanut soup – the satay noodles were particularly delicious. There were also many value-added services. You could borrow sand-digging tools and a three-person pedal boat (reservation required) from the first floor. The front desk could also arrange a free electric shuttle to the Wuyuan Bay sailing base, with incredible scenery along the way. Guests can also enjoy the 'Naughty Castle' (a play area) inside the hotel. Just a short walk from the hotel is the beach; cross the villa area and turn right, and you'll be on the sand. Both the day and night views from the seaside boardwalk are stunning! The hotel's service quality is, as expected from Wyndham, excellent – they promptly meet guests' needs and are always ready to help. I'll definitely stay here again next time!
