Hotel service is above and beyond, so much to the point where they will pluck the passion fruit straight from their backyard for you! (true story). This was such an amazing stay with the most exceptional hotel service from the staff. You're pulled into a groupchat with all the different staff and someone will answer any question or request at any time. They even helped us call a car back to the hotel when we were stranded at ruyi peak for 20 min. We picked this hotel mainly for the views and the videos we saw online of the viral hotel, but were blown away by the concierge, amenities, views, and services provided to us during our stay. Truly made us feel like royalty! Also, very foreigner friendly, staff all had translator devices for those who couldn't speak Chinese which I would appreciate if I was also a foreigner. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! The hotel offers excellent value for money, and the location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by mountains with stunning views from the window. It’s about a 7-minute drive from the main street, so it’s easy to get around while still enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a separate walk-in wardrobe, which was a nice bonus. The main downside was the cleaning. The floors were a little dirty, and there was some dust in places. We also noticed that small pieces of rubbish were sometimes left behind even after the room had been cleaned. However, the bed linen and towels were clean, and the shower and toilet were also clean. The hotel itself could also benefit from some renovation, as certain areas and furnishings feel a little dated. With some updates and improvements to the cleaning, this place could be absolutely amazing! The breakfast selection was a little limited, but there was still enough to choose from, and everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel also has a laundry room where you can wash your clothes, which is very convenient, especially when travelling. Another lovely bonus was the complimentary photo session in traditional Chinese clothing, which included 5 digital photos. It was such a fun and unique experience that made our stay even more special! Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Considering the price, the beautiful mountain setting, the spacious room, and the extra experiences included, we think the hotel offers great value for money. With a little renovation and more attention to housekeeping, it could be an outstanding place to stay!

I came here with my friends during the summer holiday, specifically for their restaurant which is on the must-try list. While waiting for a table, we found out they also have guest rooms. Hotel guests get a 10% discount and priority seating, so after seeing the rooms, we decisively booked one. Honestly, both their restaurant and guest rooms are excellent. The summer prices were also very reasonable, and the staff were all very polite and enthusiastic. It was our first time in Yangshuo, and they even recommended some fun attractions. The hotel can also book tickets for various scenic spots, so it felt like we didn't really need to plan our route much as they had everything sorted for us. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I bring my family next time. It's very close to the riverside and West Street, both within walking distance. The main thing is, their restaurant is truly amazing! Don't miss it if you come to Yangshuo!

I will always trust Shangri-La Hotel Guilin when staying in Guilin; every visit feels like coming home. The hotel's decor is incredibly well-thought-out, and the garden is meticulously maintained. Sitting in a lounge chair in the Camphor Garden, looking back at this palace-like hotel, it exudes grandeur and comfort. It not only boasts the hardware and comfort of a five-star hotel but also features extensive gardens. Across the bridge lies the Li River, allowing you to enjoy its scenic beauty without even leaving the hotel. This is also an excellent family-friendly hotel. Teacher Xiao Pa leads children in engaging activities, making it a more cost-effective choice than Club Med. Furthermore, it's conveniently located near all major attractions in Guilin, even allowing for city walks.

1. **Facilities & Hygiene:** The mattress was comfortable, the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and there was a high-quality bathtub. Upon entering the room, there was a fresh, pleasant aroma, and the cleanliness was impeccable. 2. **Location (Superb):** This hotel is right next to West Street and the Li River. You're just a few dozen meters from the pedestrian street, truly offering a 'quiet retreat in a bustling area.' It was completely peaceful. 3. **Views & Design:** The lobby has a very stylish design, perfect for photos. From the rooftop terrace, you can watch the sunrise and enjoy the scenery (it's supposedly the tallest building on West Street). 4. **Service & Experience:** The front desk staff, particularly the attendant/concierge, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They proactively shared detailed tips for dining, entertainment, and activities, and even assisted with arranging an electric scooter rental. The overall experience was excellent.

This hotel is perfect for family trips and just chilling out – the experience was fantastic! The hotel environment far exceeded our expectations, tucked away in the mountains. Every photo we took felt like a professional shot. There's an infinity pool, forest hot springs, and so many scenic spots on the hillside, we couldn't stop taking pictures all day. The room was spacious and clean, making for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and responsive. The breakfast was delicious, and during leisure time, we could enjoy tea and mountain views, far from the crowds. It's a top choice for a relaxing getaway with friends. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best-located hotels I've stayed in during my seven or eight visits to Yangshuo. It's directly facing the Yulong River and the karst peaks, and every room has a view. The rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning for sunset. During the day, no motorized vehicles are allowed into the Ten-Mile Gallery scenic area, so it's incredibly quiet. Renting an e-scooter makes it really convenient to visit attractions like the Big Banyan Tree and Moon Hill. The amenities are top-notch; the bathroom fixtures are Kohler, and the bedding is very comfortable. I had a very satisfying stay.

No noisy hawkers, far from the hustle and bustle of West Street. There's also an infinity pool 🏊‍♀️ and an outdoor rooftop terrace~ Upon check-in, you can enjoy: ✅ Exclusive afternoon tea ✅ Free bicycle usage ✅ Oil tea making experience ✅ Free use of traditional clothing and professional travel photography service Nearby attractions: ✅ Gongnong Bridge Just a few minutes' walk! From the bridge, you can capture photos of the Yulong River and the surrounding mountains. Sunset and blue hour moments are incredibly beautiful~ At night, you can even see the 'Golden Dragon Parade'. ✅ Shuangliu Ferry Pavilion You can cycle there using the hotel's bikes! The endless pastoral scenery unfolds before your eyes. Along the way, you'll find rice fields, watermills, and ancient bridges, with tons of swings available for free use!!! ✅ Yitian West Street A lively market with lots of snacks, ethnic clothing, jewelry... and a bridge adorned with wishing plaques~ ✅ Yulong River banks Just a few steps from the hotel, you'll find a riverside path. Nestled against the mountains and by the water, it's a feast for the eyes with lush green hills and clear waters.

I visited during the off-peak season, and the hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the cruise pier, making it convenient to get to West Street. The river view room really won me over, and there's also a viewing terrace upstairs. The service was great; the front desk and restaurant staff were very polite and thoughtful. The hardware facilities are far superior to chain hotels – the lighting control, power outlets, sofa, and bedside tables are all very thoughtfully designed. The only minor thing is that the cruise boats on the river might sound their horns; I heard it twice in the morning, but it was still acceptable. I'd give it a 4.5-star rating to encourage them! 😁 Overall, I highly recommend this place and will choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Choosing this hotel and staying for two consecutive nights was the smartest decision of my trip. Definitely pick Building 1 or 6, as the views from the windows are absolutely stunning. The butler gave me the room with the second-best view in the hotel – the best one had guests extending their stay. The view from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows was truly spectacular! The room itself was also super spacious, with everything you could need! There was a wardrobe, hangers, a fridge, and a super long desk behind the bed, perfect for snacks, selfies, or even setting up a DJI drone. The bathroom was also incredibly large; you can imagine how big it was when I tell you I could open both my suitcases in there! It made getting clothes in and out super convenient. I took a video of the room when checking in, but didn't import it to my phone, so I don't have any photos. I also recommend checking out other buildings; there are many photo spots that are perfect for Instagram! I took tons of pictures, and even rainy weather didn't stop me from getting great shots. The complimentary hotel photography session didn't quite match my desired 'fishermen singing at dusk' vibe, so I booked the shoot wearing my own clothes. I got 3 retouched photos without paying anything, and the staff were still very pleasant! The only thing is, when I looked closely at home, one of the photos wasn't high-resolution, and when I messaged them about it, they didn't reply. The cormorant fishing performance was amazing – the cormorants dive underwater to catch fish, and they're incredibly skilled! They caught fish very quickly after entering the water! It's that ancient method, and while it looks a bit cruel, the fish they catch are ultimately fed to them. After the performance, you can queue up for a free photo opportunity! The butler service was also excellent! Highly recommended!
