⭐ Royal View Hotel Tsuen Wan — Beautiful Facilities & Great Beach, but Shockingly Poor Front‑Desk Service My wife and I stayed at Royal View Hotel in Tsuen Wan, and the hotel itself is genuinely beautiful. The property is clean, well‑maintained, and located near a gorgeous beach, which adds a lot to the overall atmosphere. We also really enjoyed the pool and sauna, and the pool attendants were polite, friendly, and professional — a real highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the front‑desk service was consistently unpleasant, and it stood in stark contrast to the quality of the hotel’s facilities. We arrived around 12 p.m. and were told check‑in wasn’t until after 3 p.m., which was completely fine. But without me saying anything, the woman at the desk responded with “those are the rules, too bad,” in a rude, dismissive tone. I hadn’t questioned the policy at all, so her attitude was genuinely surprising and uncalled for. Later, when it was after 3 p.m., I went back to the front desk and asked, “Can I check in now?” A different woman looked at me with clear disdain and replied, “What?” in a harsh, unfriendly way. I repeated myself, and she continued to stare at me until another staff member stepped in and offered to help. The attitude from almost every person at the front desk was strangely hostile, as if guests were inconveniences rather than customers. The same pattern continued when we asked about late check‑out. We were told, in another harsh tone, “There’s no late check‑out here. You need to leave before 12.” Again, the issue wasn’t the policy — it was the rude, unprofessional way it was delivered. At one point, I asked a staff member if they had a razor available. The response was, “We don’t have razors, it’s Hong Kong law,” said in a very unpleasant manner. My 9‑year‑old son later told me that razors were available for purchase in the vending machine — something the staff member failed to mention. It would have taken only a few seconds to say, “You can buy one downstairs,” but instead I was met with unnecessary rudeness. The contrast between this experience and our recent stay at Crown Hotel in Shenzhen, where the staff were warm, polite, and welcoming, was dramatic. At Royal View, the front‑desk staff behaved as if they were doing us a favor, and their attitude felt completely untrained and unprofessional. It’s genuinely sad, because we loved the hotel itself — the facilities, the cleanliness, the pool, the sauna, and the beautiful beach nearby were all excellent. But the poor customer service at the front desk seriously affected our stay. With proper training and a more respectful approach to guests, this hotel could easily offer an outstanding experience.

1. First of all, the hotel is exceptionally large, with about 100 rooms on each floor, so it's quite a walk back to the room. However, it feels very secure—because of its size, safety isn't a concern at all. 2. The room faced the airport, offering a lovely view of the sunset and planes taking off and landing. 3. The staff were extremely friendly and enthusiastic, actively helping with luggage delivery. I had three very heavy large suitcases, and everyone was super nice about it. 4. You can walk directly from the airport to the hotel without needing a shuttle bus. It's so convenient for a layover and rest, and much more cost-effective than storing your luggage. Storing my three heavy bags overnight would probably cost around 600 HKD, but staying here was just over 500. 5. There is a free shuttle bus to Citygate Outlets every hour for shopping and dining. Very convenient and incredible value for money.

Amazing experience at Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong! The room was spacious with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offering a direct view of the Victoria Harbour night view—we could even watch the light show right from the bed. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and very kid-friendly. The infinity pool overlooking the sea is fantastic for photos. Conveniently located for getting around, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the toiletries were of great quality. To have such a spacious sea-view room in space-cramped Hong Kong was a huge hit with the whole family. Highly recommended!

The hotel has a fantastic location, very close to the Tin Hau MTR station. Trams are just a few steps away, and there is an abundance of food options all around. For Hong Kong, it's rare to find a room this spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was clean and hygienic, with complimentary bottled water provided. The breakfast was rich and varied, and the afternoon tea was also great with plenty of snacks. The sightseeing lounge on the 30th floor is great for taking amazing photos, offering a wide selection of teas and beverages, plus a kids' play area. All in all, choosing Empire Hotels was a spot-on decision for our two-night stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again given the chance.

An excellent, impressive hotel – it immediately gives off the vibe of a large, full-fledged hotel, and the name Plaza really suits it. Inside, it smells very pleasant; even approaching the hotel, you can detect a nice, subtle, sweet jasmine scent. The hotel is easy to find: there are signs from the metro, and once you exit onto the street, its building is immediately visible – it's large and stands out. Check-in was very quick: several staff members were working at the large reception desk. We were given a room with two twin beds and a private terrace-balcony (a nice bonus). Each of us received a separate key card – for me, this is a prime indicator of guest care. The cost of our stay turned out to be quite low considering the number of nights we booked. Check-out was also very quick, but the 11:00 AM check-out time is not very convenient. The hotel is very quiet. The corridors are long, but you rarely encounter anyone there. The room was also very quiet. Housekeeping is done daily, and the Wi-Fi works well. There's a pool, but from what I understood, it closes quite early (I don't remember exactly, around 7-8 PM), so I didn't get a chance to use it. The room made a very good impression. It's large, clean, and comfortable. Two comfortable beds, nice bedding, a small table, a full set of towels, slippers, a safe, a refrigerator, tea, coffee, and sugar. The room also has a hairdryer, TV, air conditioning, thick blackout curtains, and tissues. I especially liked the toiletries in the bathroom: the shower gel has a very pleasant scent, and there's also shampoo and hand cream. The plumbing is in good condition – and yes, that's important, because issues with plumbing are quite common in hotels. As for the downsides – there are no power outlets near the bed. USB ports were available on the desk, but they charge quite slowly, so it's best to bring an adapter. Perhaps adapters can be obtained at reception, but I didn't ask. Like many hotels in Hong Kong, the room does not provide disposable amenities or bottled water – the hotel adheres to an eco-friendly approach. The location is generally convenient. The hotel is not far from the waterfront, although it's not immediately obvious how to get there the first time. You need to head towards the stadium (Coliseum), and then through pedestrian overpasses: to the left – to the waterfront, and straight through the first overpass above the bus stop – towards the city. The metro is next to the hotel, and it's just one stop from West Kowloon Station – very quick. There's also a bus stop nearby with routes towards Wan Chai and Central via the underwater tunnel. The hotel itself is actually connected to a small, modest shopping center. There's a good grocery store there and several cafes/restaurants. McDonald's is located within the metro station building. Someone mentioned money exchange shops in the mall in a review – I couldn't find any. If you need to exchange money, you can find an ATM in the underpass behind the metro station building, opposite the passage to the university, but the exchange rate there isn't the best. It's better to use the exchange shops south of Tsim Sha Tsui station, on Nathan Road – there's a whole floor dedicated to them. It's about a 12-15 minute walk from the hotel or one metro stop. Overall, I felt really comfortable here. A spacious and clean room, quietness, everything I needed at hand, and a convenient location. My impressions of the hotel were very positive.

We took our kids to Hong Kong Disneyland and stayed at a hotel for two nights. This was our first time staying at the Gold Coast Hotel in Tuen Mun, and it was a great experience. ✨ **Transportation:** From Shenzhen Bay Port, we took bus B3X to Tuen Mun Town Centre, then a taxi for a few tens of dollars to the hotel. For the return trip, a taxi directly to Shenzhen Bay Port cost around 150. Getting to Disneyland by taxi was about 200-300. Alternatively, you can take a minibus to Tsing Yi and then transfer to the MTR. ✨ **Environment and Facilities:** The beach offers amazing sunset views. The Shark-themed children's playground was safe and clean, and the kids had a blast, allowing us parents to relax. We didn't get to experience the pool due to time constraints, but it looked good too. ✨ **Room:** Our balcony sea view room offered beautiful sunset views, and the balcony was spacious enough. The room itself was also quite large. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's well-maintained and offers excellent value for money. ✨ **Surrounding Amenities:** Gold Coast Piazza is about a 5-minute walk away. It has a very chill vibe with various restaurants, supermarkets, and convenience stores, meeting all basic needs. The Vietnamese restaurant, Bistro Hoi An, was delicious; we ate there two days in a row. ✨ **Service:** We are very grateful for the hotel's well-trained staff; everyone was very friendly! The front desk agent who checked us in (forgot his name) was very nice. Dan from the concierge patiently helped us with directions to Disneyland, and the housekeeping staff were always smiling. It's been a long time since I felt such a strong sense of being at home. Overall, choosing the Gold Coast Hotel for our vacation was an excellent experience and definitely worth recommending!

Considering the overall standards in Hong Kong, the room space and bed size are quite generous. The outdoor public area is also well-designed, resembling a garden with a seawall dike that leads all the way to the Disneyland Pier. 📎 **Facilities**: The room facilities are neither brand new nor outdated, giving off a nostalgic retro vibe. Bottled water is not provided directly in the room; instead, there is a water dispenser. Once you get used to it, it's actually very convenient. 🛏️ **Bed**: It's 1.5 meters wide and can easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. As for the shower, there is a separate cabin rather than standing in a bathtub. 🎂 We ordered a themed birthday cake at the ground floor restaurant (you can call the hotel front desk via internet calls 2-3 days in advance, free of charge 🆓), and the kids loved it. You just pay for it together when checking in. 🚌 **Shuttle Bus**: It picks up right outside the hotel entrance, running every 15 minutes on average. There are routes to the MTR station as well as the other two hotels, so just make sure to check your line before boarding.

The location and surroundings are fantastic, with a pleasant view of both mountains and the sea. It's a quiet neighborhood with a low population density and many foreign residents. The room was very quiet; even though we stayed near the elevator, there was no noise at all. The room is spacious, the hairdryer works great, and the bathroom is large too. Transportation is very convenient, with shuttle buses available to Disneyland, Citygate Outlets, and West Kowloon. We didn't even need to take the MTR during this trip to Hong Kong—so convenient! The only downside is that there was still a lot of dust in the room, especially a heavy layer of dust on the tableware, which looked like it had never been wiped down, and noticeable dust on some of the light fixtures as well. One of the pillows had a distinct smell of urine; you couldn't smell it when lying flat, but it was very noticeable when sleeping on your side. Housekeeping definitely needs improvement, particularly when it comes to attention to detail.

Every time I visit HK, I stay here. In 2024, I stayed for half a month straight while taking my child to school 😂. The hotel has excellent surrounding facilities, is well-equipped, and very clean. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the MTR, which is super convenient. There are many dining options downstairs, and it's relatively quiet at night. The small garden downstairs is quite unique.
