"I arrived quite late in the evening. The hotel butler had contacted me in advance to give clear directions on how to get there, along with local food recommendations and itinerary tips. My room was arranged exactly as requested and even upgraded. The staff were all very welcoming, offered food-heating service, and allowed a late check-out until 2 PM. Located in a bustling downtown area, the hotel is very close to the subway and surrounded by a food street. However, the specific alley the hotel is on isn't too busy, so it was quiet at night for a good sleep. The interior environment is lovely, the room was spotless, and complimentary snacks and tea were provided. The hotel's management and operations are top-notch. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit."

"I was a bit surprised when I first arrived, as the downstairs area is a bit dirty, but I could understand since it's an older residential building. I had a suitcase, and the young guy at the front desk helped me carry it up—great service attitude! I originally booked a small room, but the owner gave me a free upgrade to a larger one. The room was very clean and comfortable. Outside at night, it's super lively, and it's extremely convenient for going out and getting food. To sum up, this stay was very comfortable, and the only way to describe it is incredible value for money. Highly recommended!"

Due to its convenient location, plenty of tourist attractions are located around the hotel, including the Yellow Crane Tower, East Lake and the banks of the Yangtze River, all just 20 minutes away by car. Guests are also just a ten-minute drive away from the Wuchang Railway Station.This Wuhan hotel has been around for more than half a century, but was closed for renovations between 2006 and 2010.Diners can enjoy a meal at the health-focused Zheng Yuan Chinese Restaurant or try food at the Guobin Western Restaurant. The hotel also offers a Taiwanese restaurant and a Western-style bakery.Guests looking to stay active can work out in the hotel gym, challenge a friend to a game of tennis or table tennis as well as cool off in the indoor swimming pool.

I had a feeling they might be my relatives, so I called my mother to confirm, picked them up, and drove them to the restaurant. Later, I asked my mother why they didn't use the hotel's golf cart service. She told me that when she called to book one, the hotel staff said the carts are only for hotel guests. My relatives are all in their seventies and eighties, carrying gifts for my mother, struggling to walk along the hotel's vehicular road. They are locals from Wuhan, had never been to the Donghu Guest House before, and didn't dare to complain about anything. I felt terribly guilty at the time. Fortunately, I just happened to drive past them. I shudder to think what would have happened if they hadn't run into me—the hotel is so vast and the driveway is so long, how long would it have taken them to walk from the West Gate to Building No. 2 at Tingtao, with so cars whizzing past them?
I am sharing this experience because I genuinely love the Donghu Guest House and truly hope the hotel can improve and pay more attention to such details. However, these minor flaws do not overshadow its merits, nor will they affect my fondness for the place. I will definitely stay here again next time."

"Location: The location is superb! It's about a 6-minute walk to the North Gate of the Hubei Provincial Museum and a 15-minute walk to the South Gate (main hall), which is very convenient. It's also super quick to get to from the Hubei Daily Station metro exit, just 3 minutes!
Surrounding area: There are two restaurants right downstairs from the hotel. While they aren't must-try spots, the food is decent, so you can grab a bite right after getting off the train before heading to the exhibition.
Ambiance and Service: The environment has a great design aesthetic. The lobby offers self-service hot water and a complimentary snack souvenir. Check-in at the front desk was fast and thoughtful!"

"This place was absolutely incredible.
Everything exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful, with a lovely tea area that made it feel so peaceful and special. It was spotless, had great lighting, and every detail felt well thought out.
One day I needed an extra tea cup to have tea with friends, and the staff happily brought one. I also loved that there was a larger shared tea space downstairs where we could sit together, it was such a thoughtful touch.
The balcony views were stunning, the restaurant was excellent, the food was delicious, and every interaction with the staff was warm and welcoming.
Honestly, I can’t think of a single thing that could have been better. 10/10. I would stay here again without hesitation."

kebingThis was my first time staying at the Howard Johnson Pearl Plaza, and I was absolutely stunned the moment I checked into my river-view room. It truly offered a spectacular river view! Looking out, I could see the lush greenery of Hankou Beach and the bustling skyline of Wuchang Beach. Barges and cruise ships flowed endlessly on the river, creating a picturesque scene of the majestic Yangtze, just like something out of a dream. As night fell, the high-rise buildings along the riverbank lit up in a dazzling display of colors, absolutely breathtaking! I turned off the lights in my room, sat in front of the huge floor-to-ceiling window, and gazed at the magnificent nightscape, feeling as if I was part of it all.
Next time I visit Wuhan, I will definitely choose this hotel again because of its excellent location, clean and tidy facilities, and good value for money.

Found a gem in Wuhan! 🌉
The service was incredibly attentive, and the front desk staff were warm and friendly. Our butler, Lele, was very responsive.
The room was clean and bright, with excellent attention to detail in terms of hygiene.
The view was absolutely divine! From the room, you could see both the Yangtze River Bridge and the Yellow Crane Tower. During the day, you could watch the mighty Yangtze flow by, and at night, enjoy the sparkling city lights – it truly set the mood. It's super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. If you're coming to Wuhan, don't even think twice, just book it!

The room was pretty good. I stayed with my family for a few days. The hotel is right on the street, so it's super easy to catch a taxi. Just cross the road and you're at Yanjiang Avenue. The weather was lovely these past few days, perfect for a walk and watching the sunset. If you need anything during your stay, you can just ask the hotel staff. All in all, it was a good stay.

Guest UserThe hotel's overall ambiance is great, especially the sunset in the evening. However, the service needs improvement. For example:
1. I booked and paid for the room through Trip.com, and the reservation was confirmed. But upon check-in, I was told they couldn't find my booking. It took half an hour to get the room key, which was very frustrating, especially since the elderly and children in my group had been on a 6-hour train ride and couldn't rest in the room. The guests had already shown proof of their successful reservation. The hotel could have easily given us the room key first so we could rest, and then slowly dealt with the issue with the third-party platform. Instead, they made us wait at the front desk, and even with the lobby manager present, the handling was very unprofessional.
2. The hotel breakfast costs 98 yuan per person, which isn't cheap, but the variety of dishes and facilities don't match the price. For example: out of 8 hot dishes, 4 were staple foods (two pots of rice + two pots of noodles), and the other four were mostly vegetarian, leaving very few choices. The cereal area was served from a large basin, and we had to scoop it out with a thick wooden spoon, often spilling it outside the basin. The beverage area only had 3 types of flavored drinks, no freshly squeezed juices, except for one freshly squeezed watermelon juice hidden in a corner and only offered to members (if they specifically requested it). The yogurt was also served from a basin, meant for fruit salad, with no individual yogurt cups. There were also no condiments (sugar, salt, etc.) on the tables, and so on.
3. The room cleaning was also not thorough. Hair was on the bathroom floor when we left, and it was still there when we returned in the evening. We left a tag indicating that the bed linen needed changing, but it was not changed.

First of all, Wangwang (0006) in the front desk was very nice, patient and helpful to me all the time. She provided me ice amd dvdn thought she wasn't on duty the next day, she still managed to check on me. The Resort has such amazing facilities, unfortunately some areas look unattended and some pools are closed. I stayed in a cabana looking the lake, it was very cozy and comfortable, but the swimming pool closeby was closed so I needed to walk about 10-15 mins to go to another swimming pool. Surprisingly, the one that was open was in the area were they are reshaping some rooms, so it was noisy with hammering and drilling all day. Not good when you go there just to relax. and this wasn't mentioned anywhere in the hotel description or small letter.
It’s a good destination for families with kids, since it has a water park inside.I would go back once I know the remodeling is finished.

WomierThis is my second time staying here in Wuhan. I had such a good experience last time that I wanted to come back. Ascott's quality goes without saying. The location is incredibly convenient, with a mall right downstairs that offers everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment. It's a shame the subway signs are gone; it might be hard for first-timers to find. The front desk is upstairs, and they had us checked in early, though unfortunately, we couldn't have breakfast ahead of time. This time, I feel the breakfast has improved a bit, with more variety. The room, as always, is huge, huge, huge! I absolutely love the solid wood interior, the super large wardrobe, and the enormous living area – this suite is just incredible. The bathroom is also massive and has two-way doors, which is incredibly convenient. The facilities are very complete; you can even cook with ease. The mattress is comfortable, and there's an air purifier in the bedroom, making for a truly restful sleep. I switched to a buckwheat pillow, which really makes it feel like home. I just wish I could stay for a few more days. The subway station is right downstairs, and the high floor provides excellent soundproofing. There are virtually no hygiene blind spots. This hotel is definitely going into my list of treasured places!

Our family of five (three kids) stayed at Sky Island for three days, and we were absolutely blown away. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything.
The resort is huge — so many activities and things to do that we didn’t even have time to try everything they offered. We spent a lot of time in the hot springs, and it was such a great way to relax and recharge. The service there was top-notch, and it felt very private and peaceful.
We also had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, and it was amazing — the presentation, the taste, the service, everything was high quality.
Our two-story room was super cozy, spacious, clean, and had no weird smells (which we really appreciated).
We will definitely come back again — not just once — and we’ll bring our friends with us next time!

This hotel was a random find, chosen for its good value for money, and it turned out to be pretty decent. The room amenities and facilities were very complete and worked well. The toiletries were particularly good; that conditioner really made my hair soft. The chestnuts at the entrance were quite tasty, just a bit pricey, haha. 😂 The turnip dumplings next door also looked okay, and the vegetarian ones were only six yuan. I got to try all these snacks during my trip to Yichang; the 'liangxia' (cold shrimp jelly) drink was also quite good. They also recommended I check out Erma Road, so I popped over and had a quick look – there are quite a few shops there, which was nice.
