Romantic Hotels in Nara Prefecture, Japan

"This was one of the low key place where it is located after crossing Nara train station. Convenient. Staff was welcoming, allow to leave luggage before check in time. The whole hotel has tatami flooring, you need to go to locker leave your shoes in there, throughout the stay. In the room they gave you a bag, socks to wear around hotel and towels to use in public onsen. It was a great experience and dipping in hot pool after long day walk. Most families guests, and they allow older kids accompanied with parent of same gender. But those parent don't know how to control kids should respect the other guests. I have kid myself and try to be respectful. Since after onsen they wan to give cooling down so they have free flow ice cream afternoon to night. And probiotic drink morning. They have a massage chair and if it is peak season proly all these will be in queue. But I went on weekday and end of May so it was quite nice. Not too busy. I didnt pick hotel breakfast as I always wake up late lol. Oh and supper 9pm or 930pm onward they provide ramen and it was real nice after a long day and after onsen, hearty hot ramen soup and green tea to end the night. The experience they provide part of the stay is really fantastic!"

"This doubles as an adult motel, and like most tourists, the rooms were great for the cost. The rooms include a drinks machine, a massage reclining chair and even a one armed bandit. The access is a little tricky from the main road and you can drive by it before you realise you have gone past the entrance ramp. I realised there is also a road to the rear, though the area looks pretty barren and dark, under a small bridge and then you can see life. This rear road leads you to a McDonalds and a couple of other local eateries. Overall a pleasant stay. Plenty of free parking too !!"

"it a self-checkin and checkout system. hotel room was small but doable for a quick 2 nights stay just for the nara experience. the toiletries such as the shampoo and showergel were good. self help for mosturiser and other amenties from the lobby. the hotel is very near the nara park and the shopping street. the bed frame also had beautiful motifs nara. enjoy my experience with this hotel!"

"We received great service from the staff. Luggage was brought to when we waited for check-in. Room is spacious and very clean. It's an exoerience to stay in such traditional Japanese style hotel. Hot bath was nive as well. The price is a bit on the higher side compared to regular hotels, but its the experience you get instead, including traditional indoor clothing."

"I booked a king-sized room, and it looked just like the pictures, meeting my expectations perfectly. The bed was large enough, and there were both soft and firm pillows. The hotel is visible right from the West Exit of JR Nara Station. You don't even need to go downstairs; you can just walk directly across the sky bridge. The hotel's front desk is on the LB floor; turn right after exiting the elevator. We arrived before check-in time, so we went to the front desk to store our luggage. After we returned, we asked to retrieve our luggage and check in. Check-in is done at a machine; if you speak Japanese, you can do it yourself, otherwise, a staff member might need to guide you. The elevator requires a key card, and once you swipe it, it automatically selects your floor, which is quite convenient as you don't have to press the button manually. Our room was on the 8th floor, and the hotel fulfilled all the requests I made during booking. I'm not sure if it was because it was the off-season and there weren't many people, but we barely saw any other guests. We didn't hear any noise from the hallway or outside the window, so soundproofing wasn't an issue at all. The bathroom was spacious, and naturally, it had a smart toilet. The lighted vanity mirror was very convenient for applying and removing makeup. The drawers were well-stocked with toiletries, though the toothbrushes were very hard and might make your gums bleed. I recommend bringing your own toothbrush if possible, or buying one at Lawson downstairs. The shower room didn't have a bathtub, which is more typical for Chinese preferences, and it also had a small stool. The hand soap, shower gel, and shampoo were all from POLA, and they were quite pleasant to use. The room had a desk perfect for working, but the only drawback was the lack of power outlets, only USB ports, which made charging inconvenient. Perhaps there were some, and we just didn't find them. Also, there was no full-length mirror in the room. The hotel's breakfast area is next to the front desk, just a short walk away. You give your voucher to the staff, and they give you a card, which you return after you finish eating. You don't need to clean up after yourself; just leave the dishes on the table and go. The breakfast selection wasn't as extensive as in China, lacking even basic fried eggs. In terms of RMB, it felt a bit pricey, but for Japan, the cost was reasonable. There were breads, pastries, some fruits, snacks, and a wide variety of drinks, so you could certainly get a full meal. If you have a busy morning schedule, I recommend having breakfast at the hotel. I would definitely want to stay here again on my next trip to Nara!"
