Ocean View Hotels in Hainan, China

After our trip to Shimei Bay, we arrived at the hotel with my entire family, including young children and elderly parents, along with several large suitcases. We were understandably quite tired from the journey. Upon arrival, it was clear that the hotel had a significant shortage of staff both inside and outside the lobby – a stark contrast to Shimei Bay, where service personnel were readily available everywhere. Although there weren't many guests checking in at the time, and the scene wasn't particularly busy, given our large group and numerous bags, I had to proactively request a luggage cart to make things easier. For a resort hotel that prides itself on the guest experience, the initial service response would be much better if it were more proactive and if staffing levels were more adequate. Regarding the room, the promotional pictures I saw when booking showed a sea-facing view with a visible beach. However, the actual view from our room was quite different from what we expected. While we could see the sea in the distance, our primary view was of the hotel's pool area, and the beach wasn't visible at all. The visual impression didn't match the promotional images. During the Chinese New Year period, the hotel organized various activities, some free and some with a charge, which is understandable. However, it was quite surprising to find that even digging for sand crabs on the public beach area required an additional fee. Compared to the hotel we stayed at previously in Shimei Bay, the activity planning here was indeed a bit lackluster. On the bright side, the breakfast was excellent. There was a rich variety of options, especially the Pandan Tofu Pudding, Pandan Pancakes, and various Hainan noodles. These were not only distinctive but also delicious, adding a wonderful culinary delight to our mornings. What truly impressed us was the mature food scene around the hotel. From Coconut Chicken, Wenchang Chicken, Ding'an Jumping Beef (which can be hotpot or BBQ), Baoluo Noodles, Hainan Noodles, to all sorts of desserts and snacks – the choices were incredibly diverse. This added a lot of local flavor and memorable gastronomic experiences to our trip. The hotel's beach area itself was quite good. The sea breeze, sand quality, and the overall experience were very relaxing and comfortable.

Service: Absolutely fantastic! I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk attendant who helped me. She was incredibly patient, kind, and friendly. It had been months since my last visit, but she still remembered me, which made me feel so welcome and warm. I'll definitely be back! Thumbs up! Hygiene: Pretty good. Environment: Convenient location and a nice atmosphere. Facilities: Pretty good, and very well-equipped!

This hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of Hainan Ocean Flower Island No. 1, with easy walking access to various amusement parks and shopping areas, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. The hotel amenities are excellent, featuring a stunning outdoor pool and a well-equipped fitness center. Plus, the free parking is a huge bonus, with plenty of spaces and even EV charging stations, which is super convenient for those driving. The staff are friendly and the check-in process was efficient and smooth. The attention to detail in their service really enhances the vacation vibe.

Our first family room had a damp smell, but the front desk manager kindly helped us switch to another family room facing the sea. The service was attentive, and the room was clean. Breakfast had a decent variety, and the environment was pleasant. The water park wasn't open yet, and the ocean park didn't have much to do besides taking photos. It was off-season, so there weren't many people. The kids' world is still under construction. There's a food street near the hotel, making dining quite convenient. The hotel also offers a paid mini-train ride that takes you around the hotel for 40 minutes at 15 yuan per ride, which is worth it. There's Twin Beach near the Hilton, which is great for watching the sunset. If the island's facilities improve further, I would definitely visit again.

The room was spacious and elegant, with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows framing the sea view perfectly. Being on a high floor, the view was absolutely stunning. The bedding was soft and comfortable, complemented by high-end Byredo toiletries. Even the balcony offered a full sea view. The service was meticulous and attentive, and the duty manager, Shaw Wu, provided truly exceptional service.

This is one of those hotels I *had* to leave a glowing review for. Honestly, given the price, I wasn't expecting much, and Wyndham hasn't always impressed me in the past. But from the moment I stepped out of the car, Mr. He from the concierge team rushed over to open the door and help with my luggage, greeting me so warmly. When I mentioned wanting to go to the gym, he even took me there to show me around first. And then there were Xiao Jun at the front desk and Raja from India – their service was absolutely outstanding, so professional and enthusiastic. These were just three staff members I encountered, but everyone else was equally excellent. The location is also top-notch, right by the sea, and the cleanliness is great too. Purely from an experience perspective, it felt no different from hotels I've stayed at costing thousands a night. Definitely the best hotel in Wenchang, no competition.

The hotel itself is luxurious and grand. The giant aquarium in the lobby creates an amazing atmosphere, and every photo taken looks like it's from a magazine. The room I stayed in had a fantastic view, directly facing the stunning seascape of Haitang Bay. Waking up to the sea breeze and sunshine was incredibly comfortable. Room Cleanliness: The room was clean, tidy, and spacious. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the toiletries had a sophisticated scent. The attention to detail was evident. The staff were gentle, attentive, and responded quickly to requests. The entire experience was excellent. Most Satisfying: The unlimited access to the Aquaventure Waterpark and The Lost Chambers Aquarium included with the stay was incredible value for money. The water park rides were thrilling and fun, and the aquarium offered close-up views of various marine creatures, creating a dreamy and therapeutic atmosphere. The C Show performance was also stunning and impressive. It's truly enjoyable for all ages. All dining and entertainment options can be found within the hotel, and the facilities are comprehensive and convenient. It's perfectly suited for both family trips and leisure vacations. The experience was impeccable, and I genuinely recommend it. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Sanya!

Facilities: So-so, but the pool was nice. Cleanliness: Decent, pretty standard. Environment: The surroundings are good, though there's some construction nearby. Dining: Breakfast was very average, but considering the room rate wasn't high, it's acceptable. Service: Our butler, Victoria, provided excellent service! She was diligent, attentive, gentle, lovely, kind, considerate, and hardworking! Thumbs up! Strolling through the grounds, you could enjoy the serene natural atmosphere while discovering various charming little details. Whether for family trips or romantic getaways, there's tailored fun for everyone. From check-in to check-out, the staff's service was consistently excellent. The front desk handled check-in efficiently and quickly, and thoughtfully provided tips for local attractions. Housekeeping service was prompt and thorough daily, proactively replenishing mineral water and toiletries, paying attention to even the smallest details. This perfectly balanced attentiveness made my stay incredibly reassuring. In summary, this was a completely flawless vacation experience! The room view, dining quality, facilities, and service details were all top-notch. Whether for a family vacation, a romantic trip, or a getaway with friends, everyone will find immense joy here. I've already added it to my list of places I'll definitely revisit; next time I'm in Hainan, I'll choose this hotel again!

The lady at the executive lounge contacted us in advance and arranged a spacious, high-floor room with a breathtaking view. She patiently answered all our questions and even sent us locations for delicious food, which was much more reliable than what you find on Xiaohongshu! They also kindly offered a complimentary late check-out. The front desk service was incredibly welcoming, and checking in on the 35th floor was a unique experience.
