The Rosewood is truly paradise on earth. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of at all times (especially the butlers) - they were so kind and made our stay truly relaxing. The room was always perfectly clean when we returned to it in the evening and the property was just breathtaking as usual. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and we can't wait to go back!

We used to come with my family growing up and we haven’t been in nine years since my mom passed. We’ve always loved staying at Sandy ports when I got to go back with my sister and bring back so many memories. The resort is amazing and definitely our favorite and all of Bahamas. A lot of other resorts are hectic and crazy, but Sandy port is amazing. It seems so excluded from the rest of the island but also so close to everything. I definitely recommend staying here.

The rooms are equipped with a kitchenette which is absolutely a plus. The beach is tiny but the view is picturesque. In my opinion obnoxiously expensive for the quality of service it offers. The hotel has one beach/pool bar and one restaurant where you eat every meal from breakfast to dinner. You pay once for each meal, the hotel has no offer for its guests or families. When ordering shakshuka, I asked if there was an option to make it less spicy, I received the answer that there was no such option - the level of spiciness was so high that I didn't finish the portion. For dinner we opted for lobster - the display on the ice showcase seemed promising - we got a large portion of noodles and meat as much as for the medicine - all the dignity of the dish disappeared! I would only add that the cost of the other was 2 times less than Goldwynn - in total I visited about 40 hotels. It was the first time I experienced such a huge disappointment.

We stayed at the Orange Hill Beach Resort from March 8 to 12. The first two nights, we stayed in a studio room in the hotel and the last three nights we stayed at the pink cottage. The main hotel is older than the cottage but has lots of character and charm with the pool in a central courtyard (reminiscent of many hotels of the 50s and 60s). The studio had a nice balcony too. The pink cottage is on the same property and it was delightful and romantic. The windows have screens and you can hear the waves on the beach across the road. It is more expensive but a nice treat. The beach was quiet and beautiful. If you want a casual place away from the hustle and bustle of Nassau but close enough to everything (including the airport), this small family run hotel is a wonderful choice. The staff were great as were the guests. My wife and I want to thank the two owners Chris and Brendan as well as all the staff (especially Charlene, Agatha and Rico who were at the front desk). The owners Chris and Brendan were very pleasant and willing to chat when they weren't busy - all the best to you and your families! Charlene was especially helpful and she has worked there for many years. She gave me a good tip on where to pick up some sandals and shorts when my suitcase went missing on the first day. Thanks Charlene! Also, Deborah of Deborah Benneby Taxi deserves a shout out as she waited outside the men's store (Hoffer Sport) while I bought some beach wear (we'll remember that for the next time we need a taxi during our next visit). The food in the dining room was excellent. My wife and I will be back!
