They absolutely loved the garden view, it was a real surprise. Enjoying breakfast with views of the courtyard and snow-capped mountains was also incredibly pleasant.
Given the fantastic location and scenery, it should be easy to get great photos, especially with traditional ethnic clothing for a photoshoot. However, the photography company that the hotel partners with really doesn't live up to the Banyan Tree standard. The photographer was good at guiding poses, but the framing, composition, and camera settings during the shoot all need significant improvement. My parents have done photoshoots at resort hotels in many cities and felt that the quality of these photos was the worst. It's a shame, given the beautiful clothes and scenery.

GGuest UserI booked for two days as a solo traveler. The room was very spacious, and having an elevator made it much more convenient than staying inside the old town. My main activity was hiking, which meant my clothes would get sweaty and dusty. The hotel having a washer-dryer combo was incredibly convenient for this, but unfortunately, it suddenly stopped drying on the second day, which was a real shame. The room was well-equipped, though some amenities had minor imperfections. For example, the Xiao Ai smart speaker wasn't connected to the internet, so its smart functions couldn't be used; the hotel might need to ensure it's properly connected. Overall, at this price point, it's an excellent choice. I'd definitely come back again.

The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking.
The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed.

GGuest UserThe accommodation was tastefully decorated and designed. They had bathroom fixtures like Hansgrohe & even provided a Dyson hair dryer. The room created a retreat-like atmosphere, it was very relaxing. They also have a dedicated laundry area.
Had early morning activities both days so ended up not having breakfast but the aunty at the kitchen allowed us to take away some of the breakfast items. She was really sweet and helpful.
When we arrived, the owner arranged a car to pick us up and gave us a fruit basket, biscuits etc. His hospitality was very welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay. He also arranged for a car to send us off which was very helpful early in the morning. The view from the room was really pretty as you can see the mountain and it overlooked the ancient town.

AAnonymous UserThe Wanda Realm Resort Kunming is a standard five-star hotel. While the facilities are high-end, the rooms are a bit dated due to the hotel's age, but still perfectly functional. The service is excellent, and the breakfast is great, especially the coffee. The hot spring pools are a real highlight, with over 20 outdoor pools, all clearly marked with their water temperature. Surrounded by tropical plants like coconut and palm trees, it's incredibly relaxing to soak in the sun. The hotel also offers dedicated butler service, which is very attentive.

TtaniaHyatt Regency Lijiang is not far from Shuhe Ancient Town. It's a garden-style hotel, and the entire property itself is a picturesque garden worth visiting, with beautifully distinctive Naxi architectural elements. The rooms are spacious and bright, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean. The hotel's breakfast offers a rich variety, in addition to regular items, there are also special Yunnan dishes like rice noodles, Ersi (rice cakes), Rubing (fried cheese), and Baba (pancakes), which are all very unique. The food at Dianxiangyuan restaurant is also excellent. Jennifer, the front desk attendant, provided warm and thoughtful service, meticulously explaining the operating hours and features of each functional area and proactively checking in on our stay experience. The hotel grounds are pleasant, the air is fresh, and it's quiet and comfortable. Every morning, opening the window reveals stunning views of the snow-capped mountains and the lake, and on clear days, you can even witness the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' phenomenon.

GGuest UserA very warm treasure hotel. Our family received souvenirs and welcome tea as soon as we arrived at the hotel, which was very ceremonial. Because there were not many tourists, the hotel seemed particularly secluded. Whether it was the private soup in the courtyard or the Pu'er tea, they were all of very high quality. The children enjoyed feeding the seagulls every day. The food was a little simple during the Spring Festival. A male waiter in the restaurant (forgot his name) was very enthusiastic. The green vegetables were all from the hotel's own vegetable garden, which was very natural. The back door of the hotel leads directly to Yangzonghai Shijiazui Park, and the scenery is invincible. In short, I was very satisfied. Thanks to the housekeeper for his meticulous service. Five-star praise. Recommended to travelers who like to relax and get close to nature.

GGuest UserThis hotel exceeded our expectations! It's right on Erhai Lake with amazing views, especially from the executive lounge – it blows all the coffee shops outside out of the water. The happy hour in the evening, while a set menu, was delicious – light, tasty, and substantial enough to be a full dinner. The spa in the executive room was also noteworthy; the massage was very thorough. Our butler, King, provided excellent service, always accommodating our requests. We stayed for two nights, and the service was fantastic from airport pickup to drop-off. When we couldn't make it to the executive lounge for dinner one night, they even packed it up and brought it to our room for us. I haven't encountered such a dedicated butler in a long time – he deserves a huge compliment! The drivers for the hotel's airport shuttle service were also very responsible. The 1799 executive package was definitely worth it. I highly recommend it to everyone!

They even upgraded us and offered a complimentary second person's essential oil back massage! 👍 Once we got to the room, it was just as amazing as advertised. Lying in bed, we could enjoy stunning snow-capped mountain views and stargaze at night. The room was well-equipped with all the amenities, thoughtfully provided down to the smallest detail, which was truly touching. The hotel offers an unlimited breakfast (perfect for those who aren't sure when they'll wake up), afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and a bedtime dessert. The ladies at the hotel were all warm, polite, and responsive, always surprising us with little touches. I hope the breakfast variety can be expanded on my next visit.

PPengdubabaMy stay at InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town was absolutely fantastic, exceeding all expectations! I have to give a special shout-out to every single reliable team member—Yumi, Tina, Eric, Deft, Simon, Jack, Daisy, Jocelyn, and Claire—everyone was professional and incredibly warm.
The front desk and housekeeping staff were all very patient and had excellent attitudes. The concierge team was amazing, proactively helping with luggage and calling taxis. The restaurant staff were also super enthusiastic, making dining a truly comfortable experience.
The hotel itself is wonderful, blending Naxi cultural elements beautifully. The lobby offers breathtaking views directly facing Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The back gate leads straight into the ancient town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining, and there's always someone to open the door even late at night. Breakfast offers both Chinese and Western options, and I particularly enjoyed the rice noodles. The room amenities were thoughtful, with a bathtub and capsule coffee machine, making for a very comfortable stay!
I will definitely choose to stay here again next time.
