Anonymous UserA lil bit annoying from the toilet. Making sound like someone knocking, from the pipeline. My kids feel a lil bit terrified from that sound. Is that a common sound there? But overall, its a very satisfying accomodation. my kids enjoy with the pool. Charlie, I came across one or two Charlie ants in the toilet and sauna room.

Had a wonderful family stay at Lone Pine! We absolutely loved the vibe here — peaceful, relaxing and beautifully surrounded by nature. It really suited us and was exactly the kind of getaway we enjoy.
The breakfast was also one of our highlights — so good and we really enjoyed the variety! ❤️
The staff were warm, friendly and attentive throughout our stay, which made the experience even more special.
And a funny little note… my teenage daughter loved Lone Pine so much that she has already started planning her wedding here! 😅😂 I guess that says a lot about how much she enjoyed the place!
Definitely a memorable stay and we would love to come back again. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

The check-in process was a little slow, but the staff were very professional, helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The amenities and facilities are really top-notch — there’s so much to do! They have a game area, kids’ playroom, kids’ pool, infinity pool and even a private beach. They also have a fire show on weekends, which was a nice touch.
The resort has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views. Our room was very clean, and the housekeeping service was fast and efficient.
Breakfast was one of the highlights — lots of choices, including a kids’ corner with kid-friendly menu options. We had breakfast twice and the menu was different on both days, so there was plenty of variety. Some dishes were a little salty for my taste, but overall the breakfast was really good. And the teh tarik + pastries was especially delicious! ☕️
Overall, a great place for a relaxing family/ couple getaway. Would definitely consider coming back! ❤️

Benz chooiWe booked PARKROYAL Penang through Trip.com for our little daughter’s 4th birthday, and we honestly had a wonderful stay.
I wasn’t sure if booking through Trip.com would make any difference in terms of service, but the hotel completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly, warm and helpful throughout our stay.
The highlight for us was the little birthday surprise for our daughter. 🎂❤️ The hotel prepared a lovely birthday cake for her, which was such a sweet gesture and really made her day. It may seem like a small thing, but for us as parents, it made the trip extra special.
The hotel is also very family-friendly. The beach is right there, the swimming pools and kids’ facilities kept our daughter entertained, and there are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it was quite convenient.
The location is slightly away from the busier parts of Penang, but personally I liked that. It gave us a more relaxed holiday atmosphere, which was exactly what we wanted for a family trip.
Most importantly, the service really stood out. Everyone we met was genuinely welcoming and attentive, and we felt well taken care of from check-in until check-out.
Thank you to the PARKROYAL Penang team for making our daughter’s 4th birthday trip a memorable one. ❤️
Definitely a hotel we would consider coming back to, especially for another family holiday in Penang.

Asia Travel BookAfter staying at Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Penang, my biggest takeaway is this:
It’s not the kind of hotel that impresses you because everything feels brand new. What makes it special is the relaxing resort atmosphere.
The greenery is beautiful, the grounds feel peaceful, and you can easily spend the whole day just enjoying the pool, garden and beach area without rushing anywhere.
The rooms have a more classic style rather than a very modern luxury look, but they’re comfortable and well maintained.
Personally, I think this hotel is best for people who want a proper staycation and a slower holiday.
If budget allows, I’d choose the Rasa Wing for the quieter atmosphere and more exclusive experience.
My overall feeling:
Rasa Sayang may not be the newest hotel in Penang, but it still has that timeless 5-star resort feel.

Guest UserThe overall experience at Hard Rock Hotel Penang was great. My girlfriend had a hotel massage, and she found the techniques professional and comfortable. There was also a discount at the time, making it excellent value for money. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and tasted delicious. The hotel pool is spacious and perfect for kids, with direct access to the beach. The beach itself is large; although the sea water isn't the cleanest, it's great for taking photos. The room design is trendy and distinctive. The only minor downside is that parts of the hotel are currently undergoing renovation. There was no noise, but construction areas occasionally appeared in photos. Overall, it's still highly recommended.

The downfall was:
The resort was a little bit old, the receptionist don’t answer my calls most of the time when I need to request for something. This you gotta improve.
And one of the most important thing that you gotta fix is your toilet’s water pressure. It is too small, for sink, toilet bowl, and shower. The only water that’s powerful is the bidet. We have to flush multiple times after using the toilet. It’s really frustrating.

BingTaoI had an excellent stay at G Hotel Gurney in the Executive Suite. The suite was spacious, modern, and beautifully maintained, with a comfortable bed and a great view. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Penang.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, right next to Gurney Plaza and within walking distance of many popular eateries. The staff were professional, friendly, and always willing to assist, making the entire stay even more enjoyable.
The Executive Lounge was a great addition, offering a quiet and comfortable space to unwind with complimentary refreshments. Breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of local and international dishes.
Overall, everything from the room quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely choose G Hotel Gurney again on my next visit to Penang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay.
