Reviews: Oak Alley or Laura Plantation Tour from New Orleans
Guest User2024-08-20
Our guide Pam was absolutely amazing. Detailed, informative, funny but most importantly she ensured that the solemnty of these grounds were respected , and that we all understood that while ,what had taken place here yes was history, but more importantly ,that each figure was a real person, with feelings and deserved to be known . They existed . We left the tour thrilled, informed and humbled .

The pickup was punctual (and the driver was entertainment in himself which I would have paid for - thanks Brian!), the tour was really interesting and highly informative. We also got to see various other plantations (and a gator) on the journey. Recommended.

Reviews: Oak Alley Plantation and Small Airboat Tour from New Orleans

The small airboat is well worth it! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the swamp and gators. The Oak Ally plantation was absolutely beautiful. It was enlightening and very moving to visit a place where people were bought, sold, enslaved and treated as property.
