Really good all round day trip. Tour of the city followed by a good view (if the weather behaves). Hahndorf was much better than I expected (I thought it would be horribly touristy but it was lovely). The Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale are really beautiful. And to finish we got a glimpse of the coast and beaches.

Reviews: Adelaide: Half-day McLaren Vale & Glenelg Wine Tasting Tour

Our tour guide Craig was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of interesting information about Adelaide, McLaren Vale and the beaches. He even took us to the Cube, which was unscheduled but very interesting. He went out of his way to drop us off in the best location for us at the end of the tour in central Adelaide, which was very thoughtful. We went to Chapel Hill and Hasel Grove and both the wine tasting sessions were good. It would have been good to be shown and given information about the vines too, as they were just outside the tasting room at Hasel Grove.

Excellent service. Driver was always within 2-3mins of schedule time. You need to have a plan on which wineries you’re going to ahead of time. Water is provided on the bus and they will store any purchased goods on bus for you as well. The ticket and emails before the trip were slightly confusing as the Adelaide and local McLaren vale timings were used interchangeably. It’s 10am in Adelaide and 11am in McLaren Vale. Would recommend.

Reviews: Barossa Valley Cellar Door Small Group Tour

We were picked up directly from our hotel, which made things a lot easier. Roy kept us informed as to where he was and when he’d be picking us up. Our tour started at the Chateau Tanunda which was absolutely stunning and we tried about 5 different wines. After that we went to the Lambert Estate and had a further five wines followed by a delicious lunch, served family style. Our third vineyard was called Ubertas, run by Kevin Liu and his brother, another four or five wines with some fascinating uses of technology; including drones to scare off birds, fans to redirect heat to fend off frost from the crop and a pouring device that lets you keep a wine fresh for months at a time without removing the cork! Finishing the whole experience at the Rusden winery and going back to the hotel with two bottles of port and a slightly squiffy husband! Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone wishing to have a lot of wine in the Barossa.

Such a fun day and driver Yvette was vivacious and made the day more special. We had enough time in each place and loved the locals.
