If your accommodation is not near Ueno or Nippori, you don't need to transfer on this line; you can directly use the subway. The trains are in excellent condition, and the service and environment are top-notch. All seats are reserved. Tickets purchased through Ctrip are instantly valid, and you can also buy them on-site, which is very convenient.

If you booked accommodation in northern areas like Ueno or Nippori for your Tokyo trip, I highly recommend this. Also, I found the 72-hour unlimited subway pass to be incredibly useful. I will definitely purchase it again the next time I visit Tokyo.
