Reviews: Bologna: Open Bus City Tour and Local Food Tasting

A very comprehensive tour, although unfortunately traffic can slow down the itinerary. The driver was friendly, as were the staff who welcomed us and provided us with the necessary information. Recommended.
Reviews: Florence: Boboli Gardens Reserved Entry Ticket & eBook

We enjoyed our visit to the Boboli Gardens in Florence. It was a very pleasant place for a leisurely walk, with beautifully landscaped paths and several wonderful viewpoints overlooking the city and surrounding areas. The gardens offer a peaceful break from the busier parts of Florence and a nice sense of history and scale. That said, when we visited in February, there was quite a bit of restoration work underway. Some areas were partially closed or impacted by scaffolding, which took away a bit from the overall experience. Even so, we’re glad we went—the views and atmosphere still made it worthwhile, and it’s easy to imagine how stunning it will be once the restoration is complete.

What I really appreciated about this tour was how it turned Bologna’s historic centre into something alive, layered and full of unexpected stories. It wasn’t just a walk through the main landmarks, but a real journey through hidden meanings and curious facts that are easy to miss without such a knowledgeable guide. Two hours flew by, which says a lot in itself.

Ilaria was charming, intelligent and fun to be with. She took as places we would not have experienced in our own.

Nicole was interesting, informed, and obviously loves her job. Great relaxed pace, with lots of sitting down and relaxing while she loaded us up with history. Wonderful experience!
