It was a fantastic tour, with beautiful scenery. A few days ago we took another tour, on the east side, with the same guide, Romero. We liked so much both the stops and the explanarions, that we decided to go on this west experience as well. For this tour, the stops have been very interesting, maybe even more breathtaking and Romero has been a great guide to us, very knowledgeable, with an interactive style. He made us all feel welcome, safe and relaxed, whilst sharing alot of interesting facts.

Nice hike with a knowledgeable guide. Make sure you have proper shoes as there are a lot of steps down and it can get a bit flooded in the 800m long tunnel. (Also bring a torchlight or a phone as it’s totally dark in there)

Pedro was a very attentive guide who told us a lot about the nature and culture of Madeira. The car ride was also very pleasant. I highly recommend this scenic tour. A flashlight/phone light is absolutely essential; your shoes will get wet in the tunnel, so bring a spare pair if necessary.
