Reviews: [Palace Splendor Banquet] Seven-scene banquet on Chunxi Road, Chengdu | Immersive theatrical banquet [Sichuan cuisine and Han etiquette · Panoramic immersive court culture dining spectacle]

Hongdingyan Imperial Banquet was a fantastic experience, especially as a solo traveler. Unlike a typical hot pot restaurant where meals are usually shared family-style, this restaurant offers individual hot pots, allowing me to enjoy the experience comfortably on my own without getting too stuffed. The staff was able to accommodate my “non spicy” request. The food presentation was beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Beyond the meal itself, the live performances and entertaining atmosphere made the experience much more than just dinner.

Reviews: Pure play Mount Qingcheng + Dujiangyan 1-day tour includes admission ticket + guide, optional 8-person group or self-paid AI glasses

Thank you, Guide Xie, for your detailed and knowledgeable explanations. I was awestruck by the ingenious craftsmanship and efficient use of natural terrain in the Dujiangyan Irrigation System. It's truly remarkable that such a feat was accomplished over two thousand years ago and continues to benefit the region to this day! On Mount Qingcheng, Guide Xie braved the light rain to lead us up to Shangqing Palace, eloquently explaining the history of Mount Qingcheng and related Taoist knowledge. Although we walked over 20,000 steps, the entire trip wasn't tiring or boring. One small suggestion: the group meals were just average; I hope they can be improved in the future!

Reviews: From Chengdu: Dujiangyan Scenic Area & Mount Qingcheng Premium Day Tour | Max 8 Group

Our tour guide, Wang Dan, is a lovely girl from Chengdu. She speaks gently, provides meticulous service, and offers rich explanations. The overall itinerary is well-designed for tourists who only have one day and want to visit two major attractions. The total walks are estimated at 20,000 steps. Mount Qingcheng uses cable cars for both the up and down as well, so it wasn't too tiring. We enjoyed the hike without feeling exhausted. The Dujiangyan Irrigation System's back-entry, front-exit design prevents everyone from backtracking.

Reviews: From Chengdu: Dujiangyan Scenic Area Day Tour | Late Departure | Optional Blue Tears & Opera
Guest User2026-11-05
Today, I revisited Dujiangyan after 32 years. Our guide, Honghong, arranged for a car to pick us up from our hotel. We enjoyed the traditional Sichuan opera face-changing performance, toured the magnificent Dujiangyan irrigation system (a project dating back a thousand years), felt the evening breeze on the South Bridge, and saw the "blue tears" (referring to the dammed lake). The joy was unstoppable! [hugs][hugs][hugs] Thank you, guide Honghong, for your hard work and guidance! [fist bump][fist bump][fist bump]
