Reviews: Whale watching in Skjervoy, Norway [self-drive or Tromso meeting point round-trip]

Went on a silent whale watching tour aboard a hybrid catamaran that switched from diesel to electric power whenever we got close to the orcas and whales. 🐋🫍 With the engine switched off, we could truly appreciate the sounds of nature, the wind blowing, the gentle movement of the water, and the incredible sound of the whales blowing water through their blowholes. hearing everyone cheer whenever a whale appeared made the experience even more special. All of this, surrounded by the magnificent mountains and beautiful fjords, felt so peaceful and surreal. 🥹🤍 The staff were friendly and welcoming, sharing their knowledge about the whales and the history of the area. such a meaningful and unforgettable experience. Left feeling very content and grateful to have witnessed these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. ✨

Absolutely perfect trip. Saw the most amazing pod of Ocras & a white tailed eagle. Tour guide was excellent, very enthusiastic and engaging. The boat itself was clean, comfortable and plenty of blankets for the cold weather. Couldn’t rate it enough! Best trip we have had.

Reviews: From Tromso: Whale Watching in Magic Skjervoy

It was a fantastic day! The tour starts very early and you spend a lot of time in the (comfortable!) tour bus, but the time on the water is absolutely worth it! The wetsuits are available for all body types; you're very well equipped. The boat is quite small, with a maximum of 12 people on board. The seats are just about adequate for larger people wearing multiple layers. You have to climb a little bit into the boat. But if you're up for that, it's a truly magnificent experience. The boat trip alone, through this rugged, beautiful landscape, is a highlight in itself. We saw many humpback whales and orcas and received a lot of information. As expected, the time on the boat unfortunately flew by. Afterwards, there were sandwiches, cookies, and hot drinks. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much!
