Things to do in Kamakura

It is worth going with two kids, one five and one six years old. We bought amusement park passes and rode several projects twice. The kids played until dark before going home. Seeing the kids happy, mom and dad felt it was worth it.

Enoshima is accessible by train, and the tour is free. I don't think the elevator is necessary if you can climb something like Yuexiu Mountain, but if you have children, they seem to be free, so you might as well buy an adult elevator ticket. Buying the ticket via Trip is possible to be cheaper than buying from the ticket office there. Lately there is a newborn dolphin and it was so cuteeee. If anyone go there around this time, i really recommended to see the baby dolphin. Also, another popular thing from this aquarium is the Jellyfish zone. Don’t forget to see it!

It was quite impressive to see The great Buddha of Kamakura at Kotoku-in Temple. There was a small fee for entrance, but it was worth it. It is the second tallest bronze Buddha in Japan.

Walking day trip at Kamakura , a very popular temple for a reason. There is a beautiful promenade between the station and shrine. It is easy to access and has good signs. There are nice toilets and a museum. The shrine itself can be busy, so if you want to go inside and do blessings, be prepared to wait a little. Overall very beautiful and worth seeing. It is a Shinto shrine established in 11th century, built in 1828 in the traditional Edo architectural style. Will visit again because here have a lot nearby temple we haven't finish for 1 days trip.
