Mount Fuji, which means "volcano" in Japanese, spans Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures. This mountain, regarded as the "Holy Mt." by the Japanese, has been dormant since its eruption in 1707. This dormant volcano is a symbol of Japan. Of course, if you want to experience the natural scenery of Mt. Fuji and its surroundings up close, the Fuji Five Lakes area under the northern mountain of Mt. Fuji is a good choice. The reflection of Mt. Fuji in Kawaguchi Lake is a very classic scene, it is worth seeing, the nearby Oshino Hachi The sea is also famous. Peace Park in the southeast is a good choice for viewing Mount Fuji. On a sunny day and there is no cloud cover, you can clearly see the conical peak of Mount Fuji. In autumn and winter, you can also see the snow on the top of the mountain, which is particularly beautiful. Every year from mid-September to mid-October, the top of Mount Fuji begins to snow, and it will not melt until around June of the following year, and the residual snow can even be seen in mid-July. You can climb Mount Fuji in July and August, and the mountain will be closed in other seasons. There are four main mountain climbing entrances on Mount Fuji, namely Fujinomiyaguchi, Sugoguchi, Gotembaguchi, and Fujiyoshida (Kawaguchiko) entrance. The first three are all in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is divided into 10 stages from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. Each stage is called a "station", and there is a place for tourists to rest. Most tourists take the bus from Lake Kawaguchi to the fifth station of Mount Fuji on the middle of the mountain, and then start from here. mountaineering. Climbing to the top of Mount Fuji, you can see a beautiful volcanic lake formed by two craters, surrounded by 8 peaks. Along the crater tour, there is a weather station, which is the commanding height of Japan. You may wish to take a group photo. There are two shrines, namely Kusushi Shrine and Sengen Shrine. There is also a post office on the top of the mountain, where you can send a postcard to friends and relatives. . In addition, watching the sunrise on Mount Fuji will be an unforgettable and beautiful experience. In addition to Mount Fuji itself, the scenery around the mountain is also very good. There are caves left after the volcanic eruption at the northern foot of the mountain, with various shapes and shapes, and some of them will continue to exhale. Among them, the walls of the Fuyue Feng Cave are covered with stalactite-like icicles, which are called "Wannianxue". The southern foothills is a vast plateau pasture with beautiful scenery all year round, and there are many places for leisure activities, such as camping, swimming and fishing in summer, and skiing and skating in winter.Fujinomiya · 13.6 km from Narusawa

The resort sits at an elevation of approx. 1,300 to 1,500 m and offers trails ranging from gentle slopes to steep runs with a maximum gradient of 32 degrees, covering beginner, intermediate, and advanced difficulty levels. The slalom course offers views of the Misaka mountain range along the way, and looking back at Mount Fuji from the bottom reveals an expansive, magnificent vista; the Downhill East course is known for its 32-degree steep slope and mogul terrain and is an advanced route, which connects with the Dynamic course to form a long run of approx. 1,500 m. The resort is equipped with a high-speed quad lift that effectively reduces queue times. One of the highlights of the ski resort is the Mount Fuji observation cable car — even if you don't ski, you can ride the cable car up to the observation deck at the summit of Tenjindaira and take in the majestic winter view of Mount Fuji head-on. On clear days, you can also look down at Lake Kawaguchi and the Aokigahara Sea of Trees at the foot of the mountain, making it a popular viewing and photo spot within the resort. For families with children, the resort has a dedicated children's play area, including a snow play zone, dedicated sledding lanes, and a children-only ski practice area, equipped with a moving walkway for easy access for little ones, as well as a nursing room and childcare services. The snow park area regularly changes the layout of features such as jumps, rails, and boxes, with graded setups from a beginner practice area to an advanced main park, attracting many snowboarders and freestyle skiers to come and hone their skills. The central lodge houses a restaurant and shops for convenient dining and supplies.Narusawa · 4.7 km from downtown

Music Box Forest is located on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, across the lake from the majestic Mount Fuji. The park has buildings and streets like the mansions of European medieval royal families. It not only serves as a music museum and collects various classical music boxes, the world's largest doll automatic organ, and the automatic musical instrument that was originally installed on the Titanic. There is also a rose garden where you can take a leisurely stroll, and you can make your own music box in the experience workshop. The world's largest "Doll Automatic Playing Pipe Organ" is located in the pipe organ hall. It was built by the Belgian company Motie. One machine can play the orchestra alone. At the same time, there will be 43 dolls playing with the music, like It's like a ball in medieval Europe. In the center of the 25,000-square-meter spacious garden is the "Jongnak Plaza" with an organ clock. There are two art galleries, two gardens, ponds, and restaurants around it. It is full of European medieval style and is perfect for a leisurely stroll. Rose Garden The Rose Garden has 3,500 roses of 720 species. The whole garden is filled with the fragrance of roses during the flowering season. The colorful roses are in full bloom, and they compete with Mount Fuji and are beautiful. Of course, in addition to roses, other seasons also have their own seasonal flowers, it can be said that the four seasons are picturesque. Twilight Landscape Light Music Box Forest will hold a landscape light event every year, when the whole garden is like a dream, as if entering the world of fairy tales. The exact time of the event varies from year to year, but is generally in winter.Fujikawaguchiko · 7.3 km from Narusawa

Mount Fuji is one of those iconic places that never fails to impress. Seeing Japan's tallest mountain standing majestically against the sky is truly a memorable experience. I love how the scenery changes depending on the season, from cherry blossoms in spring to colourful autumn leaves and snow-covered peaks in winter. Every angle seems to offer a different postcard-worthy view! My personal tip is to allow some flexibility in your itinerary because the weather can affect visibility. If you're lucky enough to catch Fuji on a clear day, it's a sight worth remembering!

Lake Kawaguchi is a must-see when visiting, especially for those few days. I saw Mount Fuji from various angles every day. Photos of Mount Fuji are best taken on a clear day; otherwise, you might not be able to get a good shot.

As the cable car slowly ascended, the world outside the window gradually sank below. First, the rows of hotel rooftops appeared, then the lakeside road stretched out like a gray ribbon. Lake Kawaguchi below slowly revealed its full form—no longer just a glimmer of water, but a vast, warm, lustrous piece of jade, carefully cradled in the palm of the surrounding dark green mountains. The moment the cable car passed the treetops, Mount Fuji appeared. It was there, as if it had always been. The snow-capped peak that had required so much effort to look up from the lakeside was now almost level with my eyes. The clouds moved quickly, casting flowing shadows on the conical mountain, and the outline of the snow trembled slightly between the light and shadow, like a long, frozen sigh. At the foot of the mountain, the "Fuji Five Lakes" are like scattered mirrors, with Lake Kawaguchi being the brightest, reflecting the sky and the shadows of the mountains, as well as our slowly moving gondola—we look at the mountains, and the mountains also see themselves in its clear pupils.

Oshino Hakkai is a charming town surrounded by stunning scenery, with a clear view of Mt. Fuji from the village. The history of this place is fascinating, especially the crystal-clear ponds, which are incredibly beautiful. The water is cold and clean, and we enjoyed watching trout swimming around, making it an unforgettable experience. We also tried some local food, including grilled fish, fresh fruit, and sweet treats. Additionally, we purchased some souvenirs at very reasonable prices. Absolutely love this place!

Summer Vacation Itinerary for Kids and Two Elderly People to Kawaguchiko - Day 3 [Smiling face][Grinning face] The day before, we split into two groups and visited the popular Lawson convenience store (Kawaguchiko Station store), the station crossing, and the Oishi Park on the north shore; FabCafe Fuji and Nikkawa Watch Shop in the "Ladder Town" area. The ladies did some street photography, while the elderly enjoyed a relaxing stroll. [Smiling face][Grinning face] On the third day, we were heading back to Tokyo. We bought bus tickets to Tokyo Station two days in advance (approximately one bus per hour from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM). Our hotel was near Tokyo Station. We booked return bus tickets for 1:30 PM; the online and offline prices were the same, and it was still possible to buy tickets two days in advance. Our hotel near Lake Fuji required check-out at 10 AM, and it was very busy, so late check-out was practically impossible. Therefore, we went for a boat tour on Lake Kawaguchi in the morning. It was only 400 meters from the hotel, the boat trip lasted 20 minutes, and cost only 40 yen – a great value! [Smiling face][Grinning face] After breakfast, we packed our luggage and left it at the hotel. The hotel uses a self-service luggage storage system with a transportation card. After swiping the card, one end unlocked a steel cable fixed to the wall, and after locking it, we retrieved our luggage using the transportation card – very convenient. We walked to the pier, where there was a small lounge for waiting for the ship. [Smiling face][Grinning face] The weather was great, and we could see the mountains. We could go up to the second-floor terrace on the deck for photos. If we didn't want to be in the sun, we could go back to the cabin where there was air conditioning. Everyone agreed that this itinerary was excellent. Autumn holidays are just around the corner, so those planning a trip should consider this itinerary. The morning is better for viewing the mountains. There are restaurants, a Kawaguchiko Fuji specialty cookie shop, a cable car, and more near the pier.

There are many exquisite and valuable large automatic music boxes. The most historically significant is the one from 1912 related to the Titanic. There are also some interesting performances. The music box souvenirs are also quite nice. Highly recommended.

This is the street leading to Mount Fuji. At the end of the road is Mount Fuji, which is integrated with the Japanese streetscape, making people feel infinitely close yet untouchable. It is so peaceful here, like a ladder to the clouds. Walking through it is a unique experience. It is also a popular check-in spot on Xiaohongshu and Instagram, and is very suitable for filming!
