We are Malaysian & can speak mandarin. Don’t worry if you’re non-chinese speaker, they will try their best to communicate with you. Sonzhuju Coffee & Tea Holiday Villa is convenient for those who bring big luggage. They have a service to help carry your luggage too, from the main road (approx 170m). And please let them know once you arrived at the main road! The hotel is away from loud noise & busy from the main area. Cosy place & strategic for us staying in 3D2N. The room was clean. Breakfast included, but for Muslims, please mention that you’re Muslim, then they will prepare you veggie options. And you can choose to have your meal in your room or their eating area.

Ai Fei, a local host from the hotel, was very helpful in arranging our customised tour trip. We texted the hotel via WeChat 8–9 days prior to our arrival in Lijiang. We asked if there was any local there who could advise us on the trip and straightaway they made a group for discussion. He'd make sure that we were all okay & happy to discuss our plan to visit any area that we would like to go to. He arranged our private car trip to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley and brought the ticket for us too. Upon we'd arrived at the hotel, he served us a welcome tea, fruit and flower cake. From the next morning we are going to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley. He advised us on what the do’s and don't prior to our trip. The private driver that he helped arrange for us was also very helpful & patient to ensure that we felt safe going to the place (group chat). He also helped to arrange a private car for us to Shangri-la. Overall, he made our plan and trip smoothly.

As for the Muslims, you can ask him or the hotel host to recommend where the nearest Muslim restaurant they will definitely find for you.
Overall, definitely recommend staying here. We are happy with our stay here.

The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. Overall, a fantastic experience!

This hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the train station, which is super convenient. The decor is really fresh and features a pleasant green theme, making for a very comfortable stay. The facilities are comprehensive, and I loved that everything is voice-controlled – super handy! The cleanliness was top-notch, and the environment was excellent, making my stay very pleasant. What really stood out, though, was their incredibly thoughtful service. They even gave us a small, lovely souvenir when we checked out. It wasn't expensive, but it showed real care. Overall, this was a fantastic hotel experience!

This hotel in Kunming was such a pleasant surprise! My original room faced the street and was a bit noisy, so the front desk proactively upgraded me to a much quieter one. Outside the room, all I could see were the traditional blue-tiled roofs of Kunming Old Street. In the evening, the sunset painted the clouds a warm yellow, and the distant city skyscrapers blended beautifully with the old town architecture. Opening the window offered a unique kind of Kunming charm. The location is absolutely fantastic too! Step outside and you're right in the Old Street commercial area. Wenhua Street and Huangdong Street are both within walking distance, and you can stroll to Cuihu Lake and Yunnan University. It's super convenient for trying authentic local dishes and exploring night markets. Getting anywhere is a breeze – a true godsend for anyone who likes to take it easy. Comfortable and hassle-free, I'll definitely choose this place again on my next trip to Kunming!

I'm so glad I booked this Chinese courtyard hotel. The lobby courtyard's lotus pond was crystal clear, and the pavilion had a wonderfully ethereal and artistic vibe. I loved the Chinese solid wood furniture and the antique lanterns in the room. Front desk staffer Xiao Liu and the other service personnel were very enthusiastic. They upgraded us to a suite for free and even helped with our luggage. The breakfast was especially exquisite, and the rice noodles were delicious. When we checked out and picked up our luggage, the manager even gifted us rose jam, making this a truly worthwhile trip to Dali.

I booked two identical rooms, both on the third floor. Room 1820 felt slightly larger than 1819. Room 1820 faced the street, so I could faintly hear music from a nearby bar at night, but it stopped after 11 PM. **Amenities**: Comprehensive, including air conditioning, disposable towels and bath towels, and a large TV. **Hygiene**: Exceptionally clean. **Environment**: Appealing, clean, and well-equipped. **Service**: Proactive, enthusiastic, and thoughtful.

The boss upgraded the room for free. The hotel is in a good location, with many small shops nearby and the eco-tourism area within walking distance. There’s also free ice cream to eat. Good review!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a wonderful 2-night stay here. The hotel is located inside Lijiang Ancient Town, which made the experience even more special. The owner kindly picked us up along with our big luggage. It was such a fun ride—we honestly enjoyed it so much haha. During check-in, we were welcomed with an orange, which was a very sweet and thoughtful gesture. The owner was extremely helpful throughout our stay. He assisted us with renting traditional costumes and arranging a photography session around Lijiang Ancient Town, which made our trip even more memorable. After we came back from Yulong Snow Mountain, the owner also gave us very thoughtful advice. He reminded us not to shower immediately and to take some time to relax first, explaining that showering right away could cause altitude sickness or even a cold due to the sudden temperature change. We really appreciated this care and concern for our well-being. What we felt most grateful for was the kindness shown to us regarding our laundry. When we asked if there was a washing machine, they said yes, and we managed to start the first wash cycle before heading out. When we returned at night, all our clothes had already been washed and were ready for us to hang. We were shy and happy at the same time 😆 because otherwise, we would have had to stay up late just to settle our laundry. Overall, this stay felt very warm and personal—almost like being taken care of by family. Truly a memorable experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang Ancient Town.
