First I stayed in the same brand hotel in north Durham for 4 nights, and then I stayed in this hotel in the city center for 12 consecutive nights. The location is very convenient, very close to the city center square and the train station, and the scenery nearby is very good. , The room is clean and the front desk staff is friendly. It's just that the natural wind blows all the time in the room, and it seems that it can't be adjusted to warm air or turned off. However, the temperature was not bad in early October, and I will stay here again if I have the opportunity.
Absolutely spotless and finished to a high standard. Decor is modern and appealing throughout. Staff are helpful. Lovely restaurant and fantastic coffee served there. The only slight issue I would say, is that you can hear guests in the next room very easily and this isn’t desirable for obvious reasons. We sadly ended up with very noisy guests in the room next to us the first night we stayed and this caused considerable disruption to our sleep pretty much all night. Saying this, we didn’t notify the staff though (so they may have been able to help) as there was no phone in the room. The next night was fine and completely silent so this would be dependent on who you have staying near you.
There are a lot of parking places, such as the motel, the surrounding is very empty, the hotel front desk is super nice, waiting for more than two o'clock to stay, one by one, because there is only one floor, the sound of driving outside will be heard
Booked two rooms for a family trip at one time. The hotel is in a very good location, near the city center, and it is very convenient to eat and shop around. Although the room is not particularly large, it is very clean and tidy, and the layout is reasonable. The bed is very comfortable, the pillows and quilts are very soft, and the sleep is very solid. The bathroom is very clean, the water pressure is just right, and the bathing experience is very good.
The breakfast is very rich, with hot and cold food, a variety of varieties, and the taste is also very good, especially the fried eggs and sausages, which are very satisfying. The staff has a very good attitude, the service is meticulous and thoughtful, and it makes people feel very warm. The check-in and check-out process is very smooth and there is no trouble.
Overall, this hotel is worth the money, especially for short stays or business trips, and I will come again next time if I have the opportunity.
The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and we were able to take our dog for a small additional fee. We will return.
We were overwhelmed by the friendly staffs and the rooms are decent, clear and modern.
Shower is strong and hot, the surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful.
I am happy to have chosen the Bowburn Hall Hotel.
Only two pluses relating to this visit. (1) the hard working, friendly staff and (2) the cleanliness of the place. The room was beyond basic. Nowhere to put toiletries apart from the floor. Not enough ventilation in the room. We enjoyed our visit to the area but the hotel stay was very disappointing. Wouldn’t go back.
A great stay. Staff were lovely and super helpful. A problem with my room meant i had to switch, but staff addressed this as soon as possible. Pool was an added bonus as were the sauna and steam room. Will def stay there again when visiting Durham.
Such a nice hotel ,the staff member was so helpful and friendly 👍😊

GGuest UserA very pleasant stopover stay on a journey north. Plenty of car parking, food was good (we got a great deal on a 3 course set menu for £20), cooked breakfast was really tasty and cooked fresh to order, the grounds and setting were lovely.

GGuest UserLocation was perfect for our needs, near to beautiful Yarm! The amenities were good and a dip in the pool was perfect after a hot day! Overall cleanliness was good, just needed a few touch up here and there, tiles missing in spa area a
Nd our bathroom looked tired! Disappointed that there was no compensation for broken key card machine and we found this unnerving as it felt very ‘big brother’ being tracked on our every move! A drink at dinner, complimentary breakfasts or bar meal would have been a nice gesture!

GGPSCThey had a simple answer ‘No’ for everything.
Can I check in 30 mins early? No. Pay £15 extra. Paid!
Laundry service available? No
Microwave available to heat food in the restaurant? No
It’s a very basic hotel. Not recommended for families. Asked to clean the room; they forgot to inform the cleaner. Even when they cleaned the room the next day, they just changed the linen. Everything else was as is. Poor experience overall
GGuest UserThis was a lovely bed and breakfast above the pub in a nice area of the town. Continental breakfast. My suite was spacious, well cared for and tastefully decorated. It was really nice and I would stay again. Beyond breakfast there is no food on site but there are shops (including Coop) a short walk away and a very good food pub restaurant a short walk in the other direction.

GGuest UserThis is a great place to stay! The staff are very kind and helpful, the rooms are wonderful - lots of power points in useful places! - and the location is lovely, close to the railway station, a short walk into the centre and some beautiful riverside walks. I’ll definitely be back.
