The staff were incredibly friendly & tentative. Had a really good bar supper. Breakfast was very good. The pool is lovely with the hot tub. The hotel in general is very tired & desperately in need of an Upgrade. Some rooms have new bathrooms. Others in need. Limited hot water in the evening we were there. Showers in the spa changing rooms waste of space - non functional. The rooms were very comfortable. No complaints at all. Good cleanliness. It’s a 3 star hotel. It’s good value for what you get where. I’d definitely go & stay there again. Manage your expectations. You’re not going to luxury. You’re going to comfortable, country hotel that needs a lot of licks of paint & modernisation. Perfectly comfortable, pleasant stay. Don’t go if you want luxury. If you want down to earth, basic but very comfortable for all needs with good facilities, this is great.

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

The hotel was easy to find, located right by the main road. The rooms were quite small, and with luggage, the space felt a bit tight. However, there was a small outdoor balcony with a table and two chairs, which provided a nice spot to sit and eat. The rooms looked modern and recently renovated. The bathroom was well-designed, featuring sleek black tiles and gold fixtures, and the hot water worked perfectly. One of the best features of the room was the separate sink area, along with a microwave and fridge. This was especially convenient for heating up food or enjoying ready-to-eat meals from the nearby Aldi if you’re too tired to head out. The room also came with a kettle, coffee, tea, and even a chocolate wafer as a thoughtful welcome touch. There is no reception desk at this hotel, so it’s important to have internet access as check-in is fully digital. You’ll receive your room number via email just before your arrival. Make sure to complete the online pre-check-in to confirm your stay and receive further instructions. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient one-night stay.

I had a good time here in hotel. The hotel has everything mentioned in it. The room & bathroom was clean and nice. Had powerfull hot water in the shower. Staff were helpful. Very less hotel in this area so it was good one. Food looked like they brought it from outside. It was not that much good. I prefered to eat outside.

When we arrived all the available car parking was full and we ended up parking in the next street outside someone's house. The room was compact which we expected as we had booked a small room. Check in was very quick and information was given to us regarding the hotel and breakfast. Our room was very clean, if a little dated. When we switched on the TV it would not screen any programs. We phoned reception and they sent someone within five minutes to sort out the problem which turned out to be a fault with the aerial cable. Breakfast was well organised and the service and food quality and selection was good. Overall the hotel was convenient and ideal for us on a one night stay on our way back from the Hebrides and we would certainly stay here again if we do the same journey in the future

The hotel is very quiet, the beds are comfortable, the parking is free, the transportation is convenient, a good choice.

Very clean room and extremely friendly service! I also really enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is beautifully and quietly located just outside by Loch Linnhe. The only thing that needs an update is the carpet throughout the hotel, as it looks quite old-fashioned. But overall, it was a very good stay, especially because of the cleanliness of the room and the lovely staff!

Overall feedback: We had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The property is spacious enough for a group of 3–4 people, and it was clean and comfortable throughout our stay. We really enjoyed how peaceful and secluded it felt — it truly is a hideaway away from the buzz of the tourist city centre. A small suggestion: It would be helpful to provide clearer directions and notes on how to find the property. The address on Google Maps directed us to a different house, which caused some confusion. In fact, the owner of that house mentioned that they frequently receive visitors who are looking for this Airbnb and have to redirect them to the correct property. Perhaps clearer driving directions, landmarks, or a note in the check-in instructions about the Google Maps issue would make it much easier for future guests to find the property. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the peaceful location!

My Mum and I stayed here for a night, we wanted something special and we had a lovely experience! This hotel may be old but I felt that was part of the charm, especially because you can pick up a paper at the desk which tells you all about the history of it (including how Mae West had a room there!). The man at reception was lovely, as were the bar staff, and we had a great sleep in a cozy, nicely themed room with a great bathtub. My Mum especially appreciated the Bible being left in the bedside table as well. That may have been done by a guest but it was nice that the staff left it there nonetheless in case somebody wanted to read it. There were a number of little touches like that, and we had a garden view which was lovely. Also the breakfast was included in our booking, and well worth it! I'd recommend this stay for anyone looking to have a nice night in the Scottish countryside!
