We had a lovely stay in The Connought Hotel. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The hotels amenities were plentiful, very easy to get taxis, breakfast was delicious. Will definitely return.

The hotel is right next to the bus station, the El Square is just across the road, there is a visitor center across the road, and there is a question to ask directly. We are going to Asford Castle the next day. The staff at the visitor center helped us check the bus time and booked a taxi for us. The hotel's facilities are very distinctive, the interior is old-fashioned, the beds are old, similar to our beds of the 780s, but very clean. The entire hotel room is partially filled with the smell of disinfectant. The hotel breakfast was delicious and the rest were average.

I stayed at Flannery’s Hotel Galway for two nights as part of a tour group. It located a short bus ride away from the centre of the city and is is a fair walk from shops and services but not difficult to get to by any means. I stayed in a twin room and both the room itself and the hotel complex were clean and well maintained. Staff were respectful and helpful throughout my stay, getting fans for our room on two occasions to make myself and my friends stay more comfortable. The room was spacious and catered to our needs well. The breakfast provision was decent however the hot food is served by a staff member and can only be accessed once as they run it by a voucher system. As well, for those with dietary requirements the staff were a bit unsure of the nut contents of foodstuffs during breakfast as well as in a dinner service. We enjoyed the dinner but more options for those with dietary requirements and restrictions would be beneficial as pickings were limited or not able to be met for the three courses provided. That said, this is a lovely hotel, one I would recommend to those coming to Galway. I really enjoyed my stay there.

We had a very nice time at the Hyde Hotel in Galway. It is very centrally located which was helpful for anyone without a car. It was also just a 3 minute walk from the train station, which was very convenient. All the staff was very helpful, gave us recommendations on things to do and places to eat. We got the Bed and Breakfast option, and it was definitely worth it. Their breakfast was delicious, we especially liked the pancakes. Our only slight disappointment was that our room did not have A/C, but the window did open to get fresh air and they had a fan in our room which helped. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Galway.

Very clean, nice and updated with air conditioning. Beds were perfect, shower nice. Perfect location right across from Galway Girl statue and Quay pub right in center of everything. Staff was super friendly. Rooms are small hence snug but a great place for rest.

Staff were very friendly and courteous. Breakfast was excellent. Bar decor lovely.location is right in the heart of the city. Loads of pubs, bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend Eyre Square and a stay in the Victoria Hotel.

Absolutely fantastic time. The room was very spacious, the bed was really big and comfortable too. Jesus at the restaurant was very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Plenty parking spaces. Taxi into town between 7-10euro. I would definitely recommend getting the breakfast, they have fantastic choices, everything was delicious . I will definitely come back to this hotel. Galway is absolutely amazing too, maybe a 15min walk into centre, but taxi was cheap so that's how we travelled.

We had been to a family christening at Tully Cross where we had spent two nights. Having stopped and had lunch in Galway a few months before the outbreak of covid we had decided that we would like to have a stop over the next time we passed through and as we were to pick up and later drop off a hire car it was ideal. We made the booking at the Skeffington Arms online a couple of months before. From arriving on the Monday to leaving on the Wednesday we were made to feel very welcome. The location was ideal for us being very central and within walking distance of the coach station for our return journey to Dublin Airport. Our room was a very good size and with the weather we were experiencing the air conditioning in our was most welcome. From our arrival to our departure the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We would have liked to have stayed longer but due to work commitments this wasn't possible. I write this review at the risk of not being able to get a room the next time I’m in Galway! The rooms are small and this seems to be the biggest criticism but they are not that small and more than enough space for a couple. We were easily able to open two large suitcases without being inconvenienced in walking around the room. The room itself was immaculately clean and the bedding and bathroom which was actually surprisingly big as good as you get in many 4.5 star hotels. I’m pleased to recommend The Lane Hotel for couples travelling. You won’t get anywhere better for the price or location in all of Ireland. Let me give a huge shout out of appreciation for the beautiful man in reception. PS: be sure to book early for one of only three parking spots.

Just back from one of their 3 night Gourmet Dining breaks and was so impressed, we're looking at returning over Christmas or New Year's. Rooms were immaculate on arrival with complimentary bottle of sanitiser and although glasses and Tea/Coffee making facilities were removed for hygiene reasons, a quick call to reception had everything we needed, delivered within 5 minutes. Standard double room was a nice size with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space as well as an iron if needed. Rooms look like they've been recently done up. Decent shower/bath as well Our package included a 3 course dinner each night and I'm happy to report that (and both of us agreed) each and every plate served up in the Carriages Restaurant was excellent. Really couldn't find fault with a single thing on any of the plates. Meals can also be ordered without reservation across the yard in the Signal Bar but we didn't eat there and it's a different menu. Breakfast was the usual standard you'll find in any hotel and obviously it's not a buffet anymore so ask whoever is serving you for exactly what you do or don't want on your Full Irish. Plenty of healthier options available too. Anybody worried about how this hotel is implementing Covid regulations can relax as well. Everything I witnessed was beyond what I've seen in most other places but was all done as if it was just normal, everyday routine. Unfortunately, this also means that the 2 bars close at 11pm but that's the current law - just be aware of that in case you think it's like the old style residents bar 'til 2 or 3 in three morning. So, well done and thank you to ALL the staff for making it a really pleasant stay for us in these strange times. Looking forward to going back already.
