Chuanjun Kangri Zhenwang Jiangshi Monument

During the eight-year War of Resistance Against Japan, Sichuan, as the rear, made outstanding contributions to support battlefields across the country, especially hundreds of thousands of Sichuan soldiers, dedicated to the fate of the country, this monument is to commemorate and remember them.

In order to commemorate and remember hundreds of thousands of Sichuan soldiers who went out to fight against Japan at the time of national death, the government of the Republic of China built this monument in the Shaocheng Park (now the People's Park) in the center of Chengdu, which is free for tourists.

The monument to the fallen soldiers of the Sichuan Army against Japan is now standing at the East Gate of People's Park, representing more than 600,000 people who died in the war. Originally completed in 1944, by the sculptor Liu Kaiqu creation, placed in the old east city of Chengdu, after several twists and turns, re-standing at the east gate of People's Park on August 15, 2008.

Many people came to the People's Park, just in front of the Sichuan Army Anti-Japanese War Memorial to punch a card, take a photo, think that they have studied red education. In fact, if we want to really understand the route of the Sichuan Army at that time and the difficulties encountered, there is such a small exhibition next to the monument for us to visit and learn. After reading it, you will find that our people's army was really hard-won to win under such a difficult situation at the time, and we should cherish the happy life now.

In the two places where tourists often go, between Tianfu Square and Kuanzhai Alley, the free open People's Park East Gate. You can see it on the road outside, but basically only local residents come for a leisure walk. Compared with the nearby tall and majestic Xinhai Qiubao Road death memorial, the monument to the fallen soldiers of the Sichuan Army Anti-Japanese War seems low-key, but the statue of the Sichuan Army standing on the pedestal is awe-inspiring. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Sichuan, which was not occupied by Japan, provided nearly one-fifth of its strength, making immortal achievements in winning. Walking to the People's Park, there are some narrative scene sculptures, is a good place for patriotic education.
