Hongyadong also named Hongya Gate before, which was one of the oldest gates in Chongqing in the past. It is located at Cangbai Road, which is the intersection riverside zone of the Yangtze River and the Jialing River. The incredible place has another name of “a stilted building on the cliff, and the old Chongqing in memories”. In the meanwhile, it is an eye-catching building community featured with Bayu culture.

Study the light rail map carefully. To return to Liziba, you need to enter the light rail from above. It's not recommended to go inside the Hongya Cave scenic area; rather, it's suggested to stay outside for a better visual experience, especially when viewing the sunset and the night scene of Hongya Cave from Qiansimen Bridge. When checking in at the Liberation Monument, don't make a ✌🏻 gesture. Here, I omit ten thousand words, and also, don't eat hot pot in Hongya Cave. You should eat in the alleys instead, where it's less expensive and more authentic. For hot pot, it's best to choose the 'yuan yang' (mixed spicy and non-spicy) pot. Don't opt for 'mild' or 'medium' spicy because 'mild' here is already super, super spicy. I remember the first time I had Chongqing hot pot; I ordered 'mild' and the smoke made me cry.
