Not checking in at Hongya Cave might mean you haven't truly experienced Chongqing
🔔 The night view of Hongya Cave in Chongqing🌃 is really stunning, like a real-life 'Spirited Away', and it's also my favorite place to long for. Every street corner seems to be filled with stories, and it's great for taking photos, but there are just too many people. Below are a few photo spots for check-ins.
🚇 About Transportation
1⃣️ Take the monorail Line 2 to Linjiangmen Station, walk 500 meters to the northeast after getting off;
2⃣️ Take the subway Line 1 to Xiaoshizi Station, walk about 500 meters after getting off;
3⃣️ Take the subway Line 6 to Grand Theater Station, cross the Qiansimen Bridge (about 800 meters) to the right
🚌 Bus: Take bus routes 151, 181, 262, 466, 0491 (night) to Hongya Cave Station;
📷📷 Photo Spots
✅ Grand Theater Riverside Park, on the tidal flats opposite Qiansimen Bridge, where you can take group photos following the crowd down from the Grand Theater. The riverside is lively at night, but be careful as there are many pebbles.
✅ Daijiaxiang Cliff Path, next to Hongya Cave, captures the 'profile' of Hongya Cave. Remember to walk from top to bottom, it's less tiring
✅ Qiansimen Bridge, take photos from the bridge looking down, the on-site visual effect is very good, no need to squeeze with the crowd below, and you can also capture the night view of the Liberation Monument.
✅ Viewing platform, go to the top layer of the cliff path, there is a viewing platform, the spot is awesome👍, many people take photos and check in here, the background is quite spectacular
✅ Opposite the road on the first floor of Hongya Cave, here you can take close-up shots of Hongya Cave, the picture looks very good, but the downside is that there is a lot of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, so be careful.
📝 Tips:
1⃣️ Lighting time of the cave: 18:30~23:00 (lighting time may change due to season or other reasons)
2⃣️ It is not recommended to go to the shops inside Hongya Cave, nor to buy so-called Chongqing specialties there; you can buy them in supermarkets or food markets
3⃣️ If you need to take a taxi back, it's best to book it 30-40 minutes in advance.
4⃣️ Chongqing's weather is changeable, so check the weather forecast in advance and prepare the necessary clothing
5⃣️ Chongqing's cuisine is quite spicy, those with a weak stomach should prepare stomach medicine in advance, and if you can't eat spicy food, it's best to order mild or very mild spice.
It was magical! like i was in a movie… its a bit crowded but still manage to take a good picture… i was there during first week of November and its raining.
The must visit place in Chongqing is this one! specially at night when lights are turned on and it looks unreal like out of a movie. If you are a solo traveler like me you will find many photographers there offering to take amazing pictures of you at night for a small price. Totally recommended! Tip for drone enthusiasts: half of the bridge is actually a restricted area so you need to be careful when capturing this area from above the river.
To me, this is a 3-4 star location. It's a very commercial place.I went on the weekend, and there were so many people. There are also a lot of stairs, and finding the way out at night is very difficult.Overall, it's a good location to take photos.There are a few interesting things like ear cleaning, photo sessions, and photo books, but the prices there are slightly expensive.It's a place to walk around and buy little things.lightening is very nice.
The first time I came with the dream baby, the second time I came with the heart baby, both girlfriends accompanied me. Hongyadong has been beautiful, has not changed, very lively, and prosperous. But I cut a double eyelid like a person. I saw these two photos tonight, and I was a little confused. Will come back when you have time
Hongyadong is super stunning, with many delicious food facing the river. Find a nice hotpot restaurant facing the river to enjoy the stunning view at night with the building led up.Food is affordable with many variety. There are many floors but mostly are rental of clothes. Super crowded even on weekday too.there are also people wanting to shake your hand and force you to take photo, becareful of those as those requires you to pay. overall super stunning place.
Chongqing's Hongyadong is indeed a landmark building, and the night view at night is really beautiful. The Qianmen Bridge adjacent to Hongyadong is also dazzling. The elevator in Hongyadong is too difficult to squeeze, a must-come place, very recommended.
