Who could not love Su Dongpo? The Three Su Temple, the former residence that holds the legendary stories of the Northern Song literary giants Su Xun, Su Zhe, and Su Shi, has now developed into a classical garden with unique charm. It is not only an excellent place to appreciate ancient architectural art but also an ideal place to explore historical traces and appreciate the elegant charm of literati and poets. First, the South Gate Entering the Three Su Temple, the first thing that catches the eye is the plain platform of the South Gate, decorated with a three-tiered hanging belt-style step path in front, and a three-tiered ruyi-style step path in the back. Hanging in the center of the door lintel is a plaque inscribed with "Three Su Temple" by the famous Qing Dynasty calligrapher He Shaoji, and a couplet is carved on the doorposts: "High literature of the father and sons from the Northern Song; A famous ancient temple in the southern province." Second, the Front Hall Through the South Gate, you come to the front hall of the Three Su Temple. The front hall has a suspended mountain-style roof and a lifted beam frame, appearing simple and elegant. The center is open, with a circular sign "A Family of Literature" in the middle of the door cap, and a plaque hanging in front that reads "A family of father and sons as three poets, four great masters of literature for all ages." Third, the Xiangdian Hall The Xiangdian Hall is one of the main buildings of the Three Su Temple, with a small green tile roof and a treasure-top style triple-eave tower decoration in the center of the ridge. The front three bays have three plaques, from left to right they are "Wenfeng Dingchou", "Father and Son", and "Literary Integrity". Inside the Xiangdian Hall, there are statues of the three Su family members, with a plaque hanging in the center that reads "Cultivating Qi". Fourth, the Qixian Hall The Qixian Hall is another important building within the Three Su Temple, with a hip-and-gable roof that looks majestic. The hall houses a large number of documents and cultural relics, making it an important place for studying the Three Su. Fifth, the Wooden Rockery Hall and the Laifeng Pavilion The Wooden Rockery Hall is located to the north of the Qixian Hall, surrounded by green bamboo. In front of the hall is a stone platform, shaped like a basin, with three stone peaks inside, which correspond interestingly with the wooden mountain on the hall. The Laifeng Pavilion is another important building within the Three Su Temple, forming a quadrangle with the connecting bridge corridor to the Qixian Hall, appearing very quiet. Sixth, the Pifeng Pavilion The Pifeng Pavilion is located to the southwest of the Laifeng Pavilion, on the north bank of the Rui Lian West Pond, and is a double-eaved hip-and-gable building, with flying chairs placed all around, very comfortable. This is an excellent spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rui Lian West Pond. Seventh, the Collection of Treasures The Three Su Temple houses the inscriptions or rubbings of four famous steles: "Fengle Pavilion Inscription", "Drunken Old Man Pavilion Inscription", "Biaozhong Guan Stele", and "Luo Chi Temple Stele", which are important documents for studying the Three Su. At the same time, there are thousands of plaques, couplets, calligraphy, and other cultural relics on display, which are precious materials for the study and exhibition of the Three Su.
