Desheng Fort was built in the early Ming Dynasty and is an important pass of the outer Great Wall. The Beijing-Baotou Railway and the Great Wall meet here, and the two provinces of Shanxi and Mongolia are divided here. 1 km north of Deshengbao is Deshengkou, which is an important pass connecting the inside and outside of the mouth. It consists of Desheng Fort, Zhenqiang Fort, Four Castles, and Desheng Yuecheng to form a chain of fortresses with a border wall pass, a gate guard castle, a military town and a border town. The four castles are very close to each other, and they are all rammed earth castles. Most of the existing relics in Deshengbao are earth compaction, which is simple and heavy. Climbing to the gate tower, looking around, the outline of the four-sided fort wall is complete and the wall is regular. The fields outside the wall are vast, and the houses inside the wall are in pieces. A street extends from the south gate to the north, passing through a square platform with a brick hoop. There is a doorway under the square platform, and the Yuhuang Pavilion was built on the platform. There are four original attics in Desheng Fort, namely Nancheng Pavilion, Ribosattva Pavilion, Jade Emperor Pavilion and Shenwu Pavilion. Today, the four attics, the barn city and the moon city no longer exist. The Ming Dynasty entered into a mutual market covenant with the Mongolian Boots and Targets Department to develop trade exchanges and opened up a new situation of national unity. At that time, Fort Tucson was the main market for trade. Through this market, silk, tea, beans, rice, grain and other goods in the Central Plains can be transported to ethnic minority areas such as Mongolia and Northwest China; cattle, sheep, horses, and furs from ethnic minority areas can be imported into the Central Plains.
The drive from Yungang Grottoes to Deshengbao is about an hour, and there is only one road, not wide, but there are not many cars. Deshengbao is still intact, but it is also seriously damaged. The old house is not repaired, and the residents are just left behind. Not far away is Deshengkou.
Exploring the victory of the ancient castle, boarding the Great Wall of the border, listening to the old man talk about the prosperity that once belonged here... Unfortunately, the prosperity has ended, everything has been human and wrong, the towering city walls have also been demolished, and the big stone lions that once guarded the ancient castle have not known where they fell. Only one loess left untold reverie for posterity
Dengsheng Fort, in the Xinrong District, 40 kilometers north of Datong City, this castle has preserved part of the buildings, many of which are earth-covered
This is a fortress under the ancient Great Wall near Inner Mongolia, and a stockade. Many of the ancestors of the residents were soldiers from the ancient border. There are many former earth walls next to the stockade. During the Spring Festival, there are also lanterns, household couplets, and big-headed dolls to celebrate the New Year and ask for money. Very distinctive attractions.
#Mobile photographer Datong holiday around the drinking Ma River. I don't want to be at home on weekends, and there is not enough time to go far away. It is recommended that you put on sandals, bring a small water gun, and have a pleasant buffet barbecue on the drinking Ma River. The river is very clear, the water flow is soothing, children can also play in the water, the happiest thing about water fights, and sit under the shade of the tree when you are tired. It is very happy to chat with three or five friends barbecue! Passed by the Fort, you can see the original ancient Great Wall, and it is quite touching to climb the tower and look in the distance.
