While chain restaurants abound, Cancun's dining options have expanded upon the gourmet side featuring Yucatecan cuisine like poc chuc (shredded pork marinated in sour orange juice ) or succulent lobster. For night owls, Cancun has a vibrant nightlife, with a multitude of bars and clubs for all ages. These are especially packed during Cancun's busiest week with the under-25 set: spring break, which can run anywhere from mid-March to mid-April.

Flights : Cancun International airport consists of 3 terminals and most European and American cities have direct flights to it although coming from the states is decidedly most convenient. You could take the ADO shuttle bus to the city and the journey will take around 30 minutes. Alternatively, there are cabs that go straight to the hotels, although most hotels do provide pick up services; you just have to arrange for it in advance.

Cancun is situated within the tropical belt and as such its 4 seasons are rather warm and humid; notably the dry and wet seasons. During the wet season which lasts from July to October, torrential rains are frequent. There could even be hurricanes from August to October and it is usually not suitable for beach activities. You have to be mindful of the weather changes if you are planning to go outdoors.

Getting There - getting there from the airport is very easy with the ADO bus service. You can buy ticket at the terminal, they take card as well. To the bus station it takes 45 mins, after that you might need to change to local buses, if you go to the Hotel zone take the R1 bus, it’s only 12 Mxn Attractions - The Ferris Wheel, Tequila museum, Chocolate museum, The Mirror maze, Wax museum, Isla de Mujeres, Playa de Carmen… Hotels - plenty hotels, apartments Food & Restaurants - really good food even streetfood is very good, restaurants offer good quality at reasonable price. Shopping - La Isla Shopping Village, Plaza las Americas #beachvacation

Tourism Is Back In Full Swing In Cancun Mexico : canun is back, better than ever! Over a hundred Mexico resorts have reopened the state tourism minister predicts Cancun will draw as many visitors in 2006 as it did two years ago. And the travel deals are great! If you haven’t been, now may be the best time to take a vacation to Cancun. Since Hurricane Wilma hit in late October, the clean up has been moving fast. In fact, commercial and charter flights are back on regular schedules and many of the Cancun hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, golf courses and clubs have reopened. Even the ancient Mayan sites of Tulum and Coba are open and looking better than ever. In an effort to repair the beaches, engineers have been working around the clock building the equivalent of two American football fields of beach a day by collecting the displaced sand, from 22 miles off shore, onto two ships and re-depositing it back in it’s original location. The hotels and shops in Cancun continue to deliver exceptional, very personalized and attentive service.
