🚂 EP.2 | Glacier Express — Switzerland 🇨🇭 A scenic train ride that takes you across the Alps for a full day 🏔️🚆 If the Bernina Express is your closest mountain adventure, another route you shouldn't miss is the Glacier Express, a panoramic train connecting Zermatt and St. Moritz. The journey takes approximately 8 hours 🌿 Along the approximately 291 km route, the train crosses 291 bridges and passes through 91 tunnels. The scenery changes constantly, from mountain villages and deep valleys to rivers and Alpine landscapes 🏔️❄️ One of the most beautiful sections is the Oberalp Pass, the highest point on the route at 2,033 meters. Another highlight is the Rhine Gorge, a massive rock canyon often called the "Swiss Grand Canyon" because of its white cliffs and the turquoise Rhine River flowing below 💙 Along the way, you'll also pass the Landwasser Viaduct, a 65-meter-high stone bridge spanning the valley. Before continuing on to the Engadin area and finally to St. Moritz.
