CChin family: I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Grindelwald. The room was spacious, spotless, and offered an amazing view of the mountains. The staff were extremely welcoming and always ready to assist. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. The location is perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and train station. I would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable stay!

GGuest User: The hotel is located right next to the train and bus station for Jungfraujoch or First, just a 30-second walk away. The room was clean, spacious, and cozy. The front desk staff were very warm and friendly. Definitely choose a room with a balcony – it faces Eiger Mountain directly, and the view from the balcony is simply amazing. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. Five-star recommendation!

PPatty 1020: Location is few minutes walk to the Grindelwald terminal, and have a nice view of the mountain. Breakfast buffet is great tho same set of food everyday, i stayed 4 nights so i ate same food during breakfast for 4 mornings... The dining area is cozy and big so no problem of space even it was full of guest. And you have the view of the river and mountain while eating.. Hot water and tea is available all day which is good. The room is clean and daily housekeeping of the room, toilet and shower is great too. Staff are friendly. During my stay this was the cheapest i got. I read that the swiss policy is to pay 4.2chf per night for the tax, but the hotel asked 5.2chf from me. It was a great stay tho.

AAmmyammm: This hotel was very beautiful. The room was spacious and very clean. The view was so beautiful, waking up to the view of Eiger is really something else! One of our favorite things was definitely the spa and wellness area, especially the outdoor hot tub. There is just something special about being in warm water and it being very cold all around you. The steam from the hot water was really relaxing. The breakfast was really nice too but for CHF 35.- per person is a bit expensive in my opinion. Overall I can really recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in Grindelwald.☺️

GGuest User: The location is at Grindelwald Terminal, not Grindelwald village itself. This is basically the transfer point for Jungfraujoch, which is convenient if you're heading up there. However, there are no shops around, so it's quite desolate. It might suit those who prefer peace and quiet. If you want to go to First mountain, you'll need to take the train to the next stop. The good thing here is that the hotel is a short walk from the station, so you don't have to drag your luggage up any hills. If you're hoping to see the 'Dreamy Hillside' (Eiger North Face views), I'd recommend choosing a hotel closer to Grindelwald station. The shower drain was clogged; the water nearly overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Also, there's no fan in the room, so it could get quite stuffy and hot during the summer.

GGuaiguaibaobei101: The Sunstar Hotel Grindelwald, directly facing the snow-capped mountains, is especially beautiful on a sunny day. Sitting on the balcony eating instant noodles was such a treat! The only downside is the lack of air conditioning; even the fan felt hot. However, there's a significant temperature difference between morning and evening. In the morning, wearing a short-sleeved shirt on the balcony felt cold (around 10 degrees Celsius), but it was hot at night. The breakfast was very rich, and the views were absolutely stunning. The mini-fridge was restocked daily with complimentary drinks, beer, and water. A special thank you to the hotel shuttle driver who picked us up from the train station during a heavy downpour and brought us back to the hotel. Upholding integrity first, this was a very satisfying experience.

GGuest User: The Chalet Jungfrau in Grindelwald has an amazing location; you can see the 'dreamy hillside' right outside, with expansive views and absolutely stunning scenery. It's a shame the main building's view is slightly less spectacular than the annex. Overall, it was very comfortable. Breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, leaving you fully satisfied and starting the day on a high note. The only minor downside is that the facilities are a bit old and dimly lit. Overall, it offers good value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see the 'dreamy hillside' and is looking for good value!

GGuest User: I have to give a huge shout-out to this hotel's service! The staff always greeted us with smiles and were proactive in offering assistance, which made us feel incredibly welcome. The room details were meticulously handled, and the soundproofing was excellent; we couldn't hear any noise from the hallway or the next room, ensuring complete privacy and tranquility. The breakfast was diverse and delicious, with fresh ingredients. The overall facilities were impeccably maintained, clearly showing the management's dedication. Definitely a five-star experience!

GGuest User: Staying at a perfect hotel in Grindelwald! The location is excellent, very close to the main attractions and the train station, which saved us a lot of hassle. Opening the window, we had an unobstructed view of the Eiger – the scenery was both soothing and breathtaking. The room was clean and comfortable, the service was warm and attentive, and it offered great value for money. If you're coming to Grindelwald, you must stay here. Highly recommended!

YYully Kim1996: This hotel is quite popular, and I managed to snag a south-facing balcony room for two days by booking a month in advance, then booked a north-facing room for the last day. The south-facing rooms are marketed for their Eiger views, but since we were on the second floor, most of our view was blocked by an old hotel undergoing renovation across the street. If you can get a higher floor, the south-facing rooms would be great. What was surprisingly good was the north-facing room on the last day; it also faced a beautiful hillside, got excellent, unobstructed sunlight, and had a very peaceful and lovely vibe. Plus, the rooftop terrace offers stunning views of both the north and south sides, so there's no need to be too particular about the room type. The hotel's location is definitely its best feature; it's incredibly convenient. Sometimes you can see the train arriving and still make it downstairs in time. After a day of hiking, it's amazing to step off the train and right into the hotel! For this price, it offers great value for money in Grindelwald during summer!

I've seen these dreamy slopes countless times, but the moment I stood in Grindelwald, I was instantly captivated✨ Snow-capped mountains, meadows, wooden cabins, and the clanging of cowbells—it's like stepping into an Alpine fairytale world from a movie! But many people fall into traps: choosing the wrong season, not knowing how to plan hikes, or getting confused by transportation, missing out on the stunning views! This tried-and-tested guide is a must-save for everyone planning a trip to Switzerland! 📍Town overview Grindelwald is located in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland, next to Interlaken, with the Eiger mountain as its backdrop! It's most famous for its dreamy slopes, where wooden cabins are scattered across gentle, grassy meadows facing the snow-capped mountains. It's a top-tier popular town in Switzerland, perfect for hiking, skiing, or just relaxing and unwinding🏡 ✅Best time to visit ✅June–September 🌟 Highly recommended! The meadows are lush green, wildflowers are in bloom, and all hiking trails are open. It's the most beautiful time for the dreamy slopes ✅December–March: Ski season! The snow-capped mountains are covered in white, making it the top choice for ski enthusiasts ❌April–May: Some cable cars are under maintenance, and some hiking trails aren't fully open yet. The scenery is average, so choose carefully 🚞Transportation | Important ▫️Train: Take a regional train from Interlaken Ost station directly to Grindelwald. The Swiss Travel Pass is valid, the scenery along the way is stunning, and it's the top recommendation🚆 ▫️Driving: You can drive to the town, but parking is limited during peak season, and snow chains are required for some mountain roads in winter ▫️Within the town: Walking + cable car + bus. The cable car is the main way to get up the mountain! ⭐Must-visit highlights✅ 1. 🌿Dreamy slopes (First cable car direction) The soul of the town! Grassy slopes + wooden cabins + Eiger mountain in one frame. Whether it's the morning mist or the warm glow of dusk, it's perfect for photos! Walk slowly along the hillside trails, listen to the cowbells, and feel completely healed 2. 🚠First cable car Highly recommended! Once you're up the mountain, you can enjoy the First Cliff Walk, mountain carts, and paragliding! The view faces the Eiger North Face directly. If you love thrill-seeking activities, this is a must 3. 🥾Classic hiking trails ✔️First to Bachalpsee: A viral lake route! The lake reflects the snow-capped mountains. The hike is of medium difficulty, taking about 2.5 hours round trip, with top-tier scenery ✔️Gentle short trails: Suitable for those who don't want to get too tired. Take a stroll along the hillside and easily enjoy the wooden cabins and snow-capped mountains 4. 🧗Eiger mountain The world-famous North Face! You can look up at this legendary peak right from the town. Hiking enthusiasts will know its story 5. Winter: Ski paradise The ski slopes are diverse, suitable for both beginners and experts. The snow quality is excellent, and the atmosphere during the ski season is amazing 🍽️Local food recommendations ✅Swiss classics: Cheese fondue, grilled sausages, creamy pasta, and Alpine cheese ✅Local milk and chocolate! Swiss chocolate is a must-buy souvenir🍫 ⚠️Reminder: Prices in Switzerland are high, and dining out is expensive. You can also buy simple meals at supermarkets 📸Photo spot recommendations ✔️Dreamy slopes trail, looking up at the wooden cabins + Eiger mountain ✔️First Cliff Walk, panoramic view of the snow-capped mountains from above ✔️Mirror reflection at Bachalpsee ✔️Morning mist in the town, full fairytale vibes ✔️Golden sunset sunlight hitting the roofs of the wooden cabins ⚠️Tips to avoid pitfalls💡 👟Be sure to wear non-slip hiking shoes! The meadows and mountain paths can be slippery, and regular flat shoes are easy to slip in ☀️Mountain weather changes very quickly! Even on sunny days, carry a light jacket + raincoat, as it's very windy on the mountain 🎫It's recommended to check the cable car operating hours on the official website in advance. Queues are long during the summer peak season, so you can buy tickets online ahead of time 💶Prices in Switzerland are high, so plan your budget in advance. Bottled water and snacks are quite expensive 📶Signal is weak in some areas on the mountain, so download offline maps in advance 🚫Do not stray from marked trails when hiking. Mountain weather can change suddenly, posing risks. Safety first ⏱️Itinerary reference ▪️Short 1-day trip: Round trip from Interlaken. First cable car + dreamy slopes check-in ▪️In-depth 2-day trip: Stay in the town. Hike to Bachalpsee, take your time to experience the town, and watch the sunrise and morning mist 💛Blogger's thoughts Grindelwald isn't the kind of place you just rush through to check off a list; its beauty lies in its tranquility. The snow-capped mountains stand quietly, the wind blows through the meadows, and the cowbells ring softly. Here, you can slow down your pace and forget the anxieties of the city. This is the healing power that the Alps provide🏔️ 💬Interactive question: Would you rather come in the summer to hike and see the green meadows, or in the winter to ski in Grindelwald? Have you been wanting to visit after seeing photos of the dreamy slopes for a long time? Let's chat in the comments section~

Switzerland is more than just watches and banks. This small country nestled in the Alps is home to some of Europe's most spectacular scenery—snow-capped mountains, lakes, charming towns, and scenic trains. Every view is postcard-worthy. 🏔️ Alpine snow that never melts The Jungfrau is the "Top of Europe." Take the cogwheel train through a tunnel up to 3,454 meters, watching the landscape transform from green meadows to white glaciers. The Matterhorn, shaped like a pyramid and reflected in the Riffelsee at its base, offers the most classic postcard view in Switzerland. 🏞️ Lakes as blue as gemstones Lake Thun, Lake Lucerne, and Lake Geneva feature an unreal, turquoise-blue water. Lakeside towns are draped in flowers, cruise boats glide slowly by, and the reflection of snow-capped mountains on the water looks like a living painting. 🚂 Train travel is a scenic experience in itself The Glacier Express, known as the "world's slowest express train," travels for 8 hours across 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels, taking you from snow-capped peaks to lush meadows. The GoldenPass Line offers stunning lake and mountain views through windows so large they feel like panoramic paintings—no need for photos, just take it all in with your own eyes. 🏘️ Fairy-tale towns beneath snow-capped peaks Zermatt is a car-free mountain town where wooden balconies are overflowing with geraniums and the Matterhorn looms overhead. In Grindelwald, wooden chalets are scattered across green meadows, set against the backdrop of the permanently snow-capped Wetterhorn. 🍫 Deliciously Swiss Enjoy bubbling cheese fondue with bread, Zurich-style veal with Rösti, and Lindt and Sprüngli chocolates that will melt your heart. In Switzerland, the scenery isn't just a tourist attraction—it's everyday life. ✨ View the full itinerary via the product card below

Between the Swiss canton of Valais and the Bernese Oberland lies an icy dragon stretching across the mountains: the Aletsch Glacier. It extends south from the northern slopes of the Jungfrau, Mönch, and Eiger peaks, spanning about 23 kilometers in length, with an average width of 1,500 meters and a maximum depth of 900 meters. With a total weight of approximately 2.7 billion tons, it is the largest and longest glacier in the Alps. In 2001, the Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn region was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, becoming the first natural site in the Alps to receive this honor. The best way to view the Aletsch Glacier is to ascend one of its three observation points. The Eggishorn, at an altitude of 2,869 meters, is known as the "Swiss Ice Palace." Standing here, you can see the glacier like a silver dragon drawing a massive S-curve through the valley, winding between snow-capped peaks. In your field of view, the Jungfrau, Mönch, Eiger, and Matterhorn peaks line up, making every snapshot look like a postcard. Additionally, the Bettmerhorn and Moosfluh observation points offer their own unique perspectives. Three cable car routes can transport you into this world of ice and snow: from Fiesch to Eggishorn, from Betten to Bettmerhorn, and from Mörel to Moosfluh. The three car-free villages on the mountainside—Riederalp, Bettmeralp, and Fiescheralp—preserve the purest Alpine charm. You can hike along the edge of the glacier for hours, stop by Lake Märjelen, or overlook the entire glacier from the Sphinx Observatory at an altitude of 3,500 meters. However, this icy dragon, formed over millions of years, is melting at an alarming rate. Over the past 40 years, the Aletsch Glacier has retreated by more than 1,300 meters. Scientists warn that if greenhouse gas emissions continue, it could disappear completely before 2100. While the glacier is still here, go see it. Standing before it, you will understand what it means to be truly awestruck. Switzerland: Aletsch Glacier Address: Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site, Valais, Switzerland Transportation: Take a train from Brig or Visp to Fiesch, Betten, or Mörel, then transfer to a cable car to ascend the mountain

If there is one place that makes you feel, “This is it… the Switzerland of my dreams,” Lauterbrunnen is undoubtedly at the top of the list. 🤍 This valley is cradled by towering cliffs, the Swiss Alps, lush meadows, and no fewer than 72 waterfalls, with the iconic Staubbach Falls serving as the village’s signature landmark. It is also the primary gateway for heading up to mountain villages like Mürren and Wengen, as well as continuing your journey to Schilthorn. ⸻ 📍 8 Must-Visit Spots in Lauterbrunnen 01 | Lauterbrunnen Valley 🏔️ The heart of this zone. Take a stroll through the valley to admire the high cliffs, waterfalls, and up-close views of the Alps. Route: Lauterbrunnen → Stechelberg is approximately 8 km, taking about 2 hours at a steady, leisurely pace. 02 | Staubbach Falls 💦 The quintessential image of Lauterbrunnen. The water cascades from a cliff nearly 300 meters high and is visible from all around the village. It is one of the most iconic photo spots in the valley. 03 | Trümmelbach Falls 🌊 A unique highlight because these waterfalls flow *inside* the mountain. Glacier meltwater from the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau surges through mountain caverns and rock galleries, creating a series of powerful, thunderous subterranean falls. 04 | Mürren 🌿 A car-free mountain village. Its charm lies in its peaceful atmosphere, traditional Swiss chalets, and stunning views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. Perfect for a relaxed stroll to soak in the views without any rush. 05 | Wengen 🏡 Another incredibly charming mountain village. Wengen is also car-free, perched on a mountain terrace high above Lauterbrunnen. It offers spectacular views over the valley, especially the famous perspective looking down toward Staubbach Falls. 06 | Schilthorn – Piz Gloria 🚠 A summit standing at 2,970 meters. The top offers a 360° panoramic view of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, complete with a revolving restaurant made famous by the James Bond film. 🎬 2026 Update: The SCHILTHORNBAHN 20XX cable car renovation project is now complete. The new system for the Birg–Schilthorn section has been fully operational since April 2, 2026. 07 | Gimmelwald 🌲 A small mountain hamlet that offers a truly authentic, rustic Swiss feel. Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe is one of Switzerland’s most spectacular mountain destinations, offering an unforgettable experience high in the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by magnificent snow-covered peaks, vast glaciers, and breathtaking alpine scenery, the journey to the summit is an adventure itself. The panoramic views from the top are truly mesmerizing, especially on a clear day when the mountains seem to stretch endlessly into the horizon. Walking through the snowy landscape feels like entering a winter wonderland. The impressive Aletsch Glacier adds even more beauty to the experience. Jungfraujoch is a must-visit destination for travelers who love mountains, snow, photography, and extraordinary natural landscapes.

Anonymous userThe last boat from Interlaken East Station to Lake Brienz was at 15:07, and when we went there, the boat had just left. The staff taught us to take the bus to Brienz, and then catch the boat at 16:40, and take the boat from Brienz back to Interlaken. We bought a second-class Swiss pass, which allows free boat rides. There are not many seats in the second-class cabin, but there are more open-air seats. If you are afraid of the cold, you can get on the boat earlier. I sat in the restaurant at first and thought I had to consume, but after sitting for a while, I realized that there was no mandatory requirement.
横竖是二温小迪The package is good for value. Transport catered. The gliders are professional and very assuring.
Anonymous userIt only takes 45 minutes to get from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch by express train. You can also enjoy many beautiful views along the way. The Jungfrau Railway was planned in 1893, and it was not until 1912 that the highest railway station in Europe was finally opened. The construction cost a total of 16 million Swiss francs. So it is understandable that the price at the entrance of Jungfraujoch is so expensive.
横竖是二温小迪As long as the weather is good, the scenery in Switzerland is amazing. There are fewer tourists at the Sphinx Observation Deck than at the Glacier Plateau, and the wind is not as strong, but the scenery is no less beautiful, and you can experience the beauty of the Jungfrau in 360 degrees. The snow-capped mountains floating on the sea of clouds are really shocking. I always have altitude sickness when I see snow-capped mountains in China, but I don't have any reaction here, which is also magical.
横竖是二温小迪Interlaken is definitely a holiday paradise. Overlooking the Jungfraujoch from Herweg Street is a great enjoyment in life and a must-visit place. I felt the idyllic life here, which was definitely worth the trip!
爱梦媛The Eiger is known as the most dangerous peak in Europe. Its north side is extremely steep, with an average slope of 70 degrees and a vertical drop of 1,800 meters. But the more dangerous it is, the more it can arouse the interest of explorers and climbers. The Jungfrau Railway Passport records a tragedy of a failed climb on the north slope. We ordinary people can just admire it at the foot of the mountain, and Grindelwald is a great place to appreciate the Eiger. The dreamy hillside of the Internet celebrity is at the foot of the Eiger.
横竖是二温小迪Lauterbrunnen Valley Waterfalls! Nice lakeside, beautiful place for walking or cycling. Small beach. Walk alone, in pairs, with children, dogs, cats, for a walk or to relax. I invite you to enjoy this lakeside beauty in all seasons.
M32***23I wanted to go to Jungfraujoch, but the weather was bad. It was foggy and hard to see clearly. I took the train and then the cable car. I was a little disappointed. Of course, the scenery should be beautiful when the weather is clear.
