It was a very good experience. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was quiet, and the bathrooms were always clean with hot water. The kitchen has basic utensils. The location is good, with a market nearby and a metro station about a ten-minute walk away. The metro is well signposted, which makes it easy to get around the city without much difficulty. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. Furthermore, for women traveling alone, it's a safe and quiet place to stay.

Very central location. The bathroom is shared but that wasn't a problem since it was very clean.

Staff are kind and enthusiastic If you like to lively and make friends, here is a good choice But if you like a quiet vacation, it is not recommended to choose Close to the road, the sound of cars and people sometimes is very loud However, the hostel provides earplugs If you don't have foot power, don't choose because it's a bit awkward to walk two flights of stairs.

Dom Sanchio 1 is a charming rustic-style hotel with a fantastic location. It’s well-connected, with plenty of taxis, the train station, buses, and the iconic Tram 28 just around the corner. Victor and Tarsis were absolute gems—always ready with helpful recommendations and suggestions, which made our stay even better. That said, there are some downsides. Housekeeping was very minimal, limited mostly to towel changes and a quick bed tidy-up. Breakfast was repetitive and quite basic throughout our four-day stay. The biggest challenge, however, was the bathroom—it was incredibly small, probably the tiniest I’ve ever come across in a hotel or hostel, requiring you to walk sideways just to get in. Overall, it’s a convenient and welcoming place if location and friendly service matter most, but be prepared for the compact facilities and simple amenities.

A very good location for exploring Lisbon, although it's a bit difficult to get there with luggage and on foot because of the steep climb. The beds were very comfortable, clean, and the receptionists were very friendly. The kitchen was good, and I was surprised that it had a hairdryer. Very nice.

This is a typical chain hotel. I arrived five hours before check-in and was charged a 'speed cleaning' fee of 15 euros to get into my room early (even though I saw on the big screen that the speed cleaning fee was 10 euros, I still paid what I was told). The room was well-equipped and offered good value for the 300+ price we paid. There was no stopper for the bathtub, so I couldn't take a bath. The environment was clean, soundproofing was good, the curtains were electric, and the double-paned windows kept the temperature comfortable. When I wanted to check out at 9 AM and store my luggage (checkout time is 12 PM), I was asked to pay 5 euros, and I hadn't seen any notification about this fee anywhere. I reasonably suspected this would go towards their tips and refused to pay. In the end, we decided not to check out and just left our bags in the room until 12 PM. Guests should be aware of this.

Great location and the best thing is that it was social, had a nice kitchen and water fountain, as well as games and an outdoor area with BBQ and sky hammock. The only thing was it did smell in some areas (luggage area and room)

Decent location. Room size was fair however the floors could have been cleaner. The blanket was very thin and even with the heat on, I had to fold the blanket in half so that I would be warmer. The room was quite noisy, I could hear people talking in the hallways, their rooms, and there is quite a lot of traffic by the elevator. The bathroom was ok, the shower water pressure was nice but the temperature control was a bit difficult to turn. The sink water did not have any warm water option, and it felt quite wasteful every time you needed water from the sink it would keep running until it turned off. The wifi was spotty at times but when it did work it was fine. They had a bar and welcome drink which was nice, the outside patio also looked cute. The breakfast was a bit disappointing: toast, cereal, some fruit, and cucumbers and tomatoes. One gentleman asked for coffee and the attendant pointed to the machine and said ”it's all there”, but when I looked at the machine, all the coffee options said ”unavailable”. The machine needed some cleaning as well. The selection of teas were quite nice though. The location is decent, about 10 min walk from the start of the Avenida da Liberdade. They do have a kitchen on the ground floor if you preferred to cook your own meal (which would have been better than the disappointing dinner I had). They offer walking tours too which is cool. Typical hostel experience.

the location of the hostel was good — The Hygge Kaffe (amazing cafe) is located just next door. one downside is that as we took the room on the top floor (ie 3/F), the lift doesn’t reach , it only goes up to 2/F, hence you would have to carry your suitcases

Mmoke899I chose a room with a bathroom, which is actually the master bedroom of the house. It's quite spacious and has everything. The location is also very good. There is a subway station downstairs, and there are many supermarkets, restaurants, etc. nearby. The kitchen at home is also very easy to use and has everything. The parking situation is not clear. It may not be easy to park on the main road. Comparing the beds in the youth hostels nearby, the price was about twice as high as that in the youth hostels, but they were much more comfortable and comfortable, so I decided to change and did not continue to stay in the youth hostels. Although the landlord is not good at speaking English, he is still very enthusiastic about using translation software to communicate and help. Thank you very much. All in all, it is a very cost-effective choice. If you feel uncomfortable staying in a youth hostel, this is a good choice and highly recommended. (Note that the owner has more than one house, so different house types may not be in the same location. The two houses are not too far apart on foot for four or five minutes. Since there was no phone call in advance and the language was not well understood, the location on the map It’s just one of them, but it’s not where I live, so it doesn’t matter if I wait for a while. The specific arrangement is subject to the landlord’s arrangement)

GGuest UserThis is not a quality hotel, but it is in a great location and if you understand something about the rooms you might find it ok. We booked a superior double room and firstly it is not a double bed. The hotel told me they do not have double beds in these rooms, they are all singles pushed together. Secondly there definition of ‘superior’ is that the rooms have been recently decorated and are superior to what they used to be. The reality is that they extremely small rooms, a hanging space either side of the bed with 3 hangers, no wardrobe and no drawer space whatsoever. I think for 1 night this is manageable. Beware some sites show this room with sofas and wardrobe’s- they do not exist as a double room. These are triple rooms and these rooms are more spacious and have a double bed, wardrobe and drawers. Not all have sofas! I found all this out on a recent stay. I booked a superior double and the hotel moved me to a larger triple room. So good customer service. But in peak season I might have been stuck!

GGuest UserThe hotel is located opposite the bus station from where the bus guests its way to the city centre. The price of the hotel is reasonable because the facilities are enough and the breakfast are included. In fact, the hotels in the centre centre is rather expensive, so choosing this hotel is rather convenient and cheaper.

SStudentOverTheSeasstaffs are very welcoming. the location’s quite good as there’re supermarket, cafes and tram stations (line 28) nearby. the luggage storage is just putting your luggage on the floor, which feels not very safe. Also, someone who stayed there disturbed us RIGHT after 11pm saying that it’s the hostel’s resting time. but overall it was a good stay
