First night room ok cramped
Service and food in restaurant v poor or average at best
Staff not organised
Veg options poor
Second night disaster with rubbish support from reception over repeated complaints about noise from next room
Reception had private mobile number of that guest so something v strange going on.
Follow up by James manager also poor
Expensive for lack of quality and service we received
Owners should be alarmed.
There was no lift, just a maze of stairs, so if you have luggage, please be aware that some effort is required!
Room was on the smaller side, but it was cozy and the bed was comfortable. Very conveniently located as well, just a 5 minute walk to Kilkenny castle and the main streets. Reception was lovely and very helpful!
One suggestion is to do some maintenance on the toilet sliding door. It screeched quite badly when opening and closing, which would have woken someone up if done in the middle of the night!
Facilities: Facilities are very good, recommended
Hygienic: The sanitary environment is very good, and there are dry and wet separation, there are towels, shampoo, soap, and even cotton swabs, which surprised me very much, very unexpected
It was a lovely room very big. You must put the tag on the door handle if you want your room cleaned daily. I wasn’t aware of that information so my room wasn’t cleaned.
Lovely Georgian hotel with contemporary annexe, beautifully done. Lovely room, huge super king bed and coffee machine.
Fabulous decor, curiosities everywhere
The location, the breakfast and the comfortable won big for this hotel. Really enjoyed our stay, and free parking nearby makes it a great stop on our trip around west Ireland. Definitely staying here again next time we are in the area.
Location very convenient: stone’s throw from the train station and right in the town centre near the castle and some really nice bars. Their bar also serves good food and is a
decent spot for a late night drink. Be aware however, that the front door shuts at 10 and you can only gain access from the buzzer at the adjacent bar and they are quite strict on guest access. If you are a couple make sure to select for 2 when making the booking.
Nevertheless the breakfast is extensive, and the rooms comfortable so thumbs up overall.

GGuest UserReally nice hotel and very friendly staff. Check in after 3pm was not great and the gym and pool are dated but generally good to use. Across from the carpark and you get a discount so very convenient.
