We spent 4 wonderful night here a couple of weeks ago. It’s beautifully small with only 15 rooms meaning it’s quiet and intimate with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The room was lovely with plenty of space and all you need. We had a top floor room which meant the roof slope interferes into the room and the shower was a bit awkward as a consequence. The outside terrace was lovely for drinks, dinner and breakfast although watch out for the mosquitos so take your repellent with you! The breakfast buffet was lovely and there was a choice of eggs or pancakes too. We had dinner twice and the food was good and reasonable value although our fillet steak was closer to well done than medium. The village is lovely and quiet and not busy even when the boats arrive and has a couple of places to drink as well as a pizza restaurant and another more rustic restaurant further around the bay. A perfect place for a relaxing getaway!

A true gem. The location cannot be beat as it is on the waterfront. The rooms are nice and especially 203 where I stayed an extra 4 days because it was so comfortable with a great view. The 4th floor terrace is lovely to meditate or have a wine, it was empty each time i went which i loved the privacy! The staff are wonderful and you are next to everything.

The room does not have a sea view. This is not like a hotel, more like a villa, the security of it is not very high, as it has 2 entrances. The entrance from the pool, anyone can access it without a problem. The swimming pool was quite dirty, it has a lot of bugs floating, and also it has not been regularly cleaned by the staff. It has a lot of restaurants nearby, and the quality and the price are better than those tourist meals in the old town. The lift was broken on the first day, second day they informed us it is fixed. But it still has a little bit sudden sinking issue. I guess Croatia does not have regulation of fix term lift checking, as it does not have any certificate in the lift inside/outside. If the hotel showed 3 stars and the price is lower. I would rate The right side of the balcony has a big tennis field on the 2nd-floor level, it is very close, and it was quite annoying that people can look over easily. The suite does not worth 4 stars. The rug is super old, it has some stains on it. The Front door lock is looking new, it is safe, but some electricity installation was not installed properly, it looks like you can pull them out easily. The Electric Safety box is not working with the password, the hotel left a key in there for use. Breakfast arrangement is well managed for guests with early tour, they could arrange breakfast box including 1 fruit, 3 breads, and 1 yogurt at 06am to 07am.

The Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere. However, there are a few things one should be aware of before booking: The hotel is in the historic district just about 5 min walk west from the Prominade area. Taxis cannot drive in, so it is necessary to walk in with one's baggage. Also, any excursions will start with a walk out of the area to the main taxi stand. Navigating the area can be a challenge the first couple of times; one MUST have the ability to use their maps app. T-mobile - America has an international plan that give you up to 2G speed unlimited data and texting, but I highly recommend getting a local sim card. Look at the map of the city before choosing this hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking. Furthermore, the office closes from 11pm till 7am. Most importantly, they DO NOT take credit cards. IF you did not pay for the room online, you will need local cash, and you will need it to pay the taxes on the room, and for a taxi if you booked it through the hotel. Cash only. (They do have a zelle option, but I could not get it to work. I recommend cash. Speaking of cash, one should get it from an actual bank ATM as the rates 11% vs the 22-25% some private ATMs charge.) I give the hotel 4 of 5 for comfort, 5/5 for cleanliness, 3 or 5 for location. I'd give this hotel

Celui-ci a encore
Central Square Heritage Hotel

Very nice and large room, with beautiful views on the central square. staff is extremely nice and helpful. as the hotel is very small (upper floor of the building - each floor hosts a different hotel), there is no hotel restaurant. for breakfast, you get vouchers for neighboring restaurant ”bokeria”, which is very nice as well. the breakfast was excellent, especially the Dalmatian poached eggs. hotel location couldn't be better - right in the center of the old town, all sights are just a 5 minute walk away. the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, but if you are travelling with heavy luggage, they can arrange to bring you very close to the hotel (by golf cart). even though centrally located, if you have the windows shut, you don't hear any noise. I can highly recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the old town of Split. I hope to be able to return one day.

I regret to have selected this hotel during my stay in Split. Stay away of it. 🙁 The hotel room was just Ok, but the overall hotel place was not. The pictures of the hotel in this and other booking sites are not showing the real situation of the place. It rests in the upper floors of a sort of abandoned section of a commercial building. The elevators, corridors, lights, are all in very bad state, bad looking, stains all over the old worn carpet, dirty walls. After taking an elevator with a button panel patched with silver tapes and scratched glass panels, you see damaged walls, debris all the way to the reception, which is just a desk in an empty hall. The security of the hotel is an issue as the door of rooms can't be locked from inside. The magnetic card that opens the doors also opens the glass sliding door to the street that remains open whenever a guest opens it and the sensors detect someone walking on the street - as there is a discotheque in the same building, the waiting line to enter the disco reaches the street door and it keeps open as there is always someone standing in front. The noise of the disco is another issue as it is loud and it persists along the whole night till 4am. The parking facility offered to me by the hotel was a single-car garage of someone's house 900m away, and they charged 40EUR for 2 days, what is the same you pay to leave the car overnight in the 2 closer Public parking lots in 2 nights. The sites advertise it as a 4-Star Hotel - this is obviously not overrated – maximum worthy a 1 or 2-star rate. it cannot even be classified as a B&B as there is not breakfast, and they had none to recommend nearby. I have anticipated my checkout in one night and found somewhere else to stay in Split at least to be able to sleep well, and despite they recognize the problems listed above, the hotel manager refused to refund me for this last night and the garage that I did not get to use. They charged the full stay upfront on check in (now I understand why), and then to refuse refund was easier as I had already paid for all nights.
Up There Design Rooms

My husband and I travelled on the 16th September on British Airways, which took 2hrs 40 minutes from Heathrow. Jet2 stop flying to Split after 31st August during the autumn and winter period. We stayed in 'Up There Design Rooms' which was in an excellent location with a short walk to all the touristy sights and nearby small beach. The rooms were on the 6th Floor gained by an elevator and were fairly basic in as much as furniture. Two swivel stools, a swivel chair, double bed with small tables either side and a clothes closet and shelves. We had a wonderful shower unit, toilet and sink unit with shelves underneath. The room was huge with windows all along this side with a view of lovely little white houses with red roofs going uphill towards the mountains. The window sill went the whole length along the window which was very useful and underneath was a socket for recharging phone or IPad. Incidentally the Wifi was really good. The best part of staying in 'Up There rooms' was the small coffee lounge, where you could help yourself to small biscuits, fruit, tea or coffee any time you needed a little refreshment at tables with some astonishing views of the Port. Adjoining this was the reception desk, manned by three outstanding staff, namely Petra, Valentina and Marko. They gave information about where to go, how to get to, and anything you needed to do, absolutely worth their weight in gold, nothing was a bother for them. THIS made the holiday all the more enjoyable. Couldn't beat this hotel for cleanliness, pristine white sheets, duvet and towels every other day... BLISS. The Old Town was really interesting, with shops, restaurants, and bars scattered around it in centuries old streets and buildings. It's a warren of little streets and took a couple of days to get your bearings in and around it. We found a lovely bar in the Central Square called 'No Stress'. It certainly lived up to it's name. Just sitting there having a quiet drink and people watching was pure relaxation. The waiters and staff were so pleasant and efficient. We didn't have a meal there, but I DID sample their Tiramasui and it was 'top notch' to say the least. The cleanliness was second to none, as the refuse collector came round every Hour in his little truck and picked up the trash from shops, restaurants, and bars, consequently there was not a scrap of litter anywhere. We walked the hind legs of a donkey, as it was so easy to do so, because the terrain was pretty flat around the Port. And there were seats everywhere to rest the weary legs if necessary. The Port was 'busy-busy' and Ocean Liners coming and going each day, and lots of large ferries taking tourists to the surrounding towns and islands. The main promenade area was breathtaking. Best I've ever had the fortune to encounter in my travels and once again immaculately litter-free. We walked up to the Park and the views were superb looking down on to the Port and exquisite promenade. Th
