I stayed here twice within a week, not just because of my itinerary, but mainly because of the hotel's incredibly convenient location. In Japan, major transportation hubs are often also commercial and business centers. This hotel is right above JR Osaka Station and the Shinkansen station, and Hankyu Osaka Station isn't far either. Below the hotel, you'll find Daimaru department store, and familiar stores for Chinese visitors like Muji, Uniqlo, and Yodobashi are also nearby. The hotel occupies floors 19 and above of the Daimaru department store. There are a lot of rooms, and the hallways are deep and long. However, the room size can only be described as cramped. On my first stay, the two beds were pushed right together. The second room was slightly wider, with just a narrow gap between the beds, and the TV on the desk was at most 16 inches. In terms of room rate alone, it's not great value for money, but when you're traveling, convenience is very important, so I'd still highly recommend this hotel. Oh, and the bus stop for the direct shuttle to Osaka Kansai Airport (KIX) at Umeda is also right downstairs.

I can understand not being able to open windows but the second window was frosty without being able to see outside. This hotel does not feel like a Japanese hotel at all. The so called ”sub-manager” with a shiny stone necklace around his neck and no uniform totally ignored my smile as I came back. When I asked if the umbrella was okay to borrow he barely even looked at my direction mumbling something. The staff members do not seem to wear uniforms or professional attire...which collar necklace confirms. You have a private room but cannot eat or drink in your own room?!! I remember about this happening in Chinese culture countries such as Singapore or Taiwan. Operating company is a ”Singapore” company.. so it makes sense. The sign would not be here if the company operated by a truly Japanese company.

Title: Excellent Value, Delicious Osaka-style Breakfast, but Avoid the Laundry Dryer Review: I generally had a very positive experience at the Sanrriott Hotel Shinsaibashi. If you are looking for an accommodation option that offers high value for money in Osaka, this place is hard to beat. What I appreciated most was the generous range of services. The lobby offers a drink station that goes beyond just water; being able to grab free coffee, tea, and even hot soup was a lovely perk. The room cleanliness was also excellent, and I was surprisingly impressed by the amenities. Unlike many budget hotels, they provided everything—toothbrushes, razors, and even face wash and moisturizer, saving me from unpacking my own. I also want to highlight the breakfast buffet (”hodai”). The price is relatively cheap for an all-you-can-eat option. I ate there for four days, and to be honest, the menu is static; most of the hot dishes remained the same every day, with only the salad selection rotating. However, the food quality completely makes up for the lack of daily variety. The dishes were yummy and featured distinct local Osaka characteristics. In terms of taste and value, the breakfast deserves a very high rating. However, there is one operational issue. The clothes dryer in the laundry room has a maintenance problem. Even after I manually cleaned the filter, the machine blew a significant amount of dust onto my wet clothes during the cycle. Instead of coming out clean, my clothes ended up covered in lint, which was frustrating. In summary, this is a fantastic choice with delicious food and great freebies. I would definitely stay here again for the price and the breakfast, but I would probably skip using the hotel’s dryer next time.

After staying at this hotel, all I can say is, the experience was absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was super fast. The room was clean and cozy, with soft, comfortable bedding that made for a truly refreshing sleep. The bathroom was spotless and odor-free, and all the facilities were new. The location is excellent, with plenty of great food options nearby and convenient transportation. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and tasted great. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again next time. Highly recommended!

The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. Although check-in at 3 PM was a bit late, it was great that they had luggage storage. The location is super convenient – it's just a 5-minute walk to the hotel from Shinsaibashi Exit 5. It's really easy to go shopping or access the subway from here. I've stayed here several times already.

This is a newly opened hotel, conveniently located near Tsutenkaku Tower, the zoo, and an art museum. Abeno is just a 10-15 minute walk away. Check-in is a hybrid of self-service machines and staff assistance on the ground floor. Toiletries are self-service, and they don't provide small samples like makeup remover or toner. The price is good, around 100+ per night on weekdays. The bathroom and room are a bit on the smaller side. Some rooms face Tsutenkaku Tower and the zoo. Rooms facing the zoo are near the highway, and even with the windows closed, it's quite noisy. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider or request a specific room orientation during check-in. Aside from the highway noise, it's excellent value for money.

I had an unfortunate experience at this hotel. After one night, I developed multiple itchy bites, which could be bed bugs and raised concerns about room hygiene. That said, I really liked the room the space was great and it was very comfortable. The location and overall convenience are also hard to complain about. I would also like to compliment the staff once I requested a room change, they handled it promptly and were very helpful. I hope the hotel can address this issue to improve future guests’ experiences.

This hotel offers great value for money and has an amazing location, right next to Tsutenkaku Tower. It's very convenient to get to from the airport, just about a five-minute walk from Shin-Imamiya Station (served by JR and Nankai lines).

AAnonymous UserComing from Kansai Airport, you do have to transfer a few times on the subway. However, the hotel is very close to Juso Station, about a 6-7 minute walk. Juso Station has a food street, so dining is super convenient! It's not crowded around at night, so sleeping is very, very quiet! There's a convenience store at the intersection, and Don Quijote is just across the main road! There's also Daikoku Drugstore nearby! Although breakfast is simple, it changes a bit every day, which shows a lot of thought. You'll definitely be full and satisfied! The lobby also has vending machines with beer, drinks, and ice cream! All your normal needs can be met here! Personally, I think even though the location is a little out of the way, it makes up for it in value for money, and transferring subways is still very convenient~

CChangjiangdashayuThe main reason I booked this hotel is its unbeatable proximity to USJ. You literally walk out and in two to three minutes, you're at the park entrance. This gives you a huge advantage for morning queues, and if it gets too hot during the day, you can pop back for a break before heading out to play again in the afternoon. The second major point is that the rooms here are the biggest among the surrounding hotels. You don't feel cramped or squashed, unlike those 'sparrow hotels' you often find elsewhere in Japan. It feels much more spacious and comfortable. I didn't try the food at the hotel this time, but it looked pretty good. Plus, there's a shopping street right below the hotel, making it super convenient for both dining and shopping. Overall, big rooms and the best location are this hotel's biggest strengths. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to USJ.

PPAPI MARKLively Osaka was very cozy & very friendly staffs who all spoke decent English. Their hospitality was definitely one of the best I’ve been to in 🇯🇵 also a good size room for BIZ traveller (wish they offered 1 King instead of 2 twins). Bfast was acceptable but if u stay more then few nights might get tired of them since it’s the same daily! Overall was a nice experience & will for sure try their sister hotel chains in other cities!

GGuest UserI stayed at FL Hotel Dotonbori for two nights. When I arrived at Osaka Station, I was happy that the hotel was within walking distance, so getting there was very easy. The hotel is located slightly behind the main Dotonbori area, but it’s still close enough to walk to all the main attractions. The location is definitely convenient. When you enter the hotel, the amenities are placed in front of the reception, so you need to pick up whatever you need from the lobby before going up to your room. They provide pajamas, slippers, and other basic amenities. One nice thing is that they offer free breakfast every morning. It’s simple, just two pieces of bread per person and hot drinks, but it’s still a nice touch. Everything is set up in front of the reception, and you can take it back to your room. For me, there were a few downsides. I noticed a suspicious stain on the blanket on my bed. It wasn’t on the bedsheet itself, but on the blanket, which made me feel like housekeeping may have overlooked it. The room size is about average for Japan. I was able to fit three large suitcases in the room, but there wasn’t much walking space, so I had to step around them. Another issue is that the rooms are not very soundproof. Unfortunately, during my stay, my neighbors were quite loud at night, so that affected my sleep

AAnonymous UserThe front desk has a ********* girl who speaks Chinese, and another guy who was super friendly. I forgot my room card when I went out, and he immediately made a new one for me, just needed to return it when I checked out. The hotel is right outside Universal City Station, making it perfect for a visit to USJ. There's a rooftop hot spring, separated for men and women, though I didn't go. The bathtub in the room was quite large anyway, so it made no difference to me.

ちなみI've stayed at various Koko hotels many times, and they generally offer good value for money. Hotels around Namba Station in a similar price range are either too old or too far from the subway. This Sennichimae location is excellent! Coming from Kobe on the Hanshin Electric Railway, exit at the west exit. You'll come up into the 'Walk' underground mall. Walk along the right side of the underground mall and look for exit B30 (pictured in photo five). Next to it is a small cafe with a bear painted on the wall 🐻. After climbing the stairs, you'll see a 7-Eleven, and right next door is the hotel. (Be aware that several exits in this area are all stairs, I didn't see any with elevators, so if you have large luggage, it might be a bit strenuous). The room size is relatively small. You can open one 26-inch suitcase, but two would probably be difficult! The hotel is quite new, and toiletries can be picked up from the lobby on the first floor. The hairdryer is still not very good, unfortunately. Check-in was very convenient with a Chinese-speaking staff member. There are plenty of dining options in the shopping street downstairs, as well as general stores and cosmetics shops. Plus, you can walk directly to Namba Station underground, which is really convenient.

GGuest UserThis hotel is quite new with excellent facilities. The location is a bit hard to judge because I took a wrong turn coming from the airport. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Shinsaibashi for shopping. The positive review is for the male staff member who spoke Chinese. The female staff member who checked me in was very unfriendly and the process was complicated. The male staff member resolved the issue later, and his attitude was exceptionally good. Although I still don't understand what was wrong with the previous room, he eventually moved me to a family room, and I was able to check in smoothly. Some luggage can be left at the front desk, while others are required to be stored on the first floor in self-locking lockers. I'm not quite sure why there's a difference. The room facilities are excellent and very new. The breakfast is delicious, just like at other Tokyu Stay hotels. You pick up your toiletries yourself, and there's complimentary coffee.
