I rented a car from Alamo in Sofia to visit my family in Kamenichka Skakavitsa, in the Kyustendil region. I had booked a basic Suzuki, but I was pleasantly surprised to get a Swift, which was more comfortable and pleasant to drive. The car was clean and in good condition, but the tank was only half full at the start, which made me a little stressed about returning it: how could I be sure to return "half"? A warning message on the dashboard also indicated low tire pressure even though they were properly inflated, proof that the sensor had not been reset. Another negative point was that my debit card was refused for the deposit and I had to pay around €17 extra. Otherwise, the Swift drove very well, the fuel consumption was decent, and I had no complaints about the handling. It was mainly the Bulgarian roads, especially around Kyustendil, that are in poor condition. A mixed experience, but generally OK.

Everything was ok with a car, however, the deposit was taken from me 842.61 eur, but I have back just 818.07 eur. I asked by writing e-mail to Sofia rent section twice. No reply has been received so far. They ignor me. If someone needs to rent a car, I advise to look somewhere else

Their location isn’t at the airport! They have shuttle bus to pick up or drop off even for single customer. The car condition is perfect without any scratch. Gave us Toyota corolla. You should be aware they insist in buying full insurance package which is at some point good if you scratch the car or have an accident.39€/day. Also no need to clean the car when returning. Only need to fill up fuel. They said toll fee is also included if you drive further locations. The service guys are okay friendly.
