Such a great hotel, amazing service and all the amenities you need, the room is very spacious and the view is beautiful especially in the evening, very easy to get to the center of Brisbane, would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Brisbane

It’s nice and quiet, and pretty comfy, but there’s still a bunch of hair on the floor, and it doesn’t look super clean. The staff seemed a bit confused with the info, but it’s all good. Just don’t expect five-star service, that’s all.

The location of the hotel is very convenient - 10 min walk away from the convention centre. The train station and bus station is nearby and the walk to the nearby turbocat makes the hotel in a prime location for transport. The front desk was efficient and pleasant. Although I check in early and the rooms were not ready, they were nice to allow us to use the facilites on the 21st floor to relax and shower. Also on the 21st floor is the rooftop bar which has the best views of South bank and the skyline. The Vista King Suite was a huge room with large bathroom sitting area and the bed was super comfortable. It took me awhile to find the door, which was hidden behind a glass door enclosure to block out noise. Housekeeping was efficient and meticulous. Breakfast was either in the cafe on G/F or the 21st floor. Servings were hearty and filling from the a la carte menu.

We booked a corner suite on the 15th floor, spanning over 70 square meters, and stayed for 7 nights. The suite had a bathtub and two bathrooms, and overall, it was quite spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was à la carte; while good, the options became a bit repetitive after a few days. We tried several restaurants within the building. The Chinese restaurant, Hua, was disappointingly closed on multiple occasions when we tried to visit, but we eventually managed to dine there once. We also tried the Vietnamese restaurant, which was decent. There's also a great Western restaurant that was reasonably priced and served an incredibly delicious Tiramisu. The location was very convenient for sightseeing; museums, the Ferris wheel, and boat trips were all within easy walking distance. We also enjoyed the swimming pool once during our stay. Just a heads-up: children are not permitted in the casino's restaurants. Parking for hotel guests costs 200.

Just okay :/ The staff was great and very friendly. However, the hotel quality did not match up with the standard we have seen at other Shangri - La Hotels. The paint on our door was badly peeling and the padded benches in our room were stained. Two of the outlets in our room did not have power. We ordered room service the first night and the rice that was sent was hard a a rock and stuck together. The location was great and the potential is there but this hotel is in need of some upkeep and a standards check. For any other hotel this would not be as big of a concern, but for the price and expectation of a Shangri- La Hotel, we were expecting a bit more.

Decided to have a 5 stars hotel back from Gold Coast. Knowingly that Brisbane is with steep streets but not prepared with my recent TKR, it is really challenging to ”steep” up to the hotel with luggage and pulling myself up and down twice in a day. Other than that, all good. Perhaps can have some more information on the hotel profile, especially for middle-age couples (above 55).

We booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. I’ve listed positives and negatives below: Positives: - there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon - Staff are very friendly/welcoming - Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room - facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach - Bathtub was lovely - Easy access to the beach Negatives: - There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said they’d send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said they’d send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing. - The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I don’t know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out

The hotel used to be an old casino in Brisbane, a 200-year-old heritage-listed building, which was later renovated and converted into a hotel. It's just a few minutes' walk from Queen Street, making its location very central. I didn't encounter any Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, but all the staff members I met from various countries were friendly, polite, and very accommodating. Interestingly, I did meet a Chinese employee among the housekeeping staff. The hotel has a grand overall feel, reminiscent of an old-world European boutique hotel. I was satisfied with both the cleanliness and the bedding – naturally, when traveling, these are the two aspects I care about most. We booked three rooms: two with twin beds and one with a Pallet king-size bed. The rooms had very high ceilings and were spacious. Overall, we were satisfied. Minor drawbacks: 1. As it's an older building, it naturally has a slightly dated feel, but this doesn't detract from its overall charm. 2. Breakfast was à la carte and the quality was excellent. However, one experience was enough; on the second day, we all opted for McDonald's breakfast. 3. There was a small amount of rubbish left in the bathroom bin. It's unclear whether it was left by the previous guest or overlooked by housekeeping during cleaning.

We loved our stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the swimming pool so much. Room is clean and spacious with a lovely view over the balcony. The vibe at both bars is excellent reminding me I am in a holiday. Our room is in front of an elevator, so it is a bit noisy on the morning when people go down to the restaurant. The breakfast didn't meet my expectations. Sometimes food didn't get refilled fast enough. There is room for improvement.

Strategic Location, walking distance to Roma Train Station and city centre. Room is clean just the building is getting old and lack of maintenance, is not as nice as my stay 10 years back. Get a low level unit, so no much view from my room, only can see construction side of the Building beside.

MM249108****The rooms are well-appointed. The hotel boasts stunning panoramic views, easily making it one of the best on the Gold Coast for scenery. With an on-site restaurant conveniently located downstairs and excellent transport links, guests can enjoy unobstructed ocean views directly from the property.

RRay_ToowoombaVery close to the Fortitue valley bar area. Pool is small on the roof top so it’s not heated. Generally quite good. Not exactly located at the central CBD.

MM274967****The location is excellent, right downstairs from the night market. The port and city center are both conveniently located. The harbor view was decent, though from Building A, it was slightly obstructed by another building. From the 7th floor, the public pool obscured much of the view. Reviews suggest higher floors offer much better scenery. The city-facing view wasn't anything special. The room was very new but had a distinct smell. I'd recommend opening the window to air it out overnight. The front desk staff, especially one young man, was very enthusiastic and helpful. The room fan can be set to 'low' for less noise.

GGuest UserWe stayed in an executive room on the eighth (of nine) floors in mid-July.  The executive lounge was generally poorly stocked and food and drinks often unavailable with no staff around for over a couple of hours at a time. We were here for seven nights, so have a reasonably good time frame to judge.  The swimming pool is surprisingly frigid in July, actually unpleasantly cold when there was any kind of breeze or cloud cover.  The bathroom shower drainage was not ideal: every short shower resulted in puddles on the bathroom floor; long showers meant the whole floor was covered in standing water.  Every time the neighbors used the spa or coffee machine, the noises were very loudly transmitted into our room.  The balcony was very nice and the wicker furniture comfortable.

NNicholas2023Great hotel in an amazing location in Cairns. Close to everything. Hotel is brand new. Only two issues: - The room had a weird smell over the course of my trip (probably due to the air conditioner) - The pool is too small compared to the size of the hotel Other than that, a great stay and can’t recommend enough
