Extremely close to the pier, which is super convenient for island hopping. My kids really enjoyed the pool too. Downstairs, you can even cuddle with koalas đ¨, but you need to book that in advance. Breakfast options were a bit limited, but as a Shangri-La member, I got a discount, making it a better value than eating out.
My stay at the Emporium Hotel was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made me feel instantly welcome. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect â their professionalism and attentiveness truly set this hotel apart.
The rooms were beautifully designed, combining modern luxury with absolute comfort. Everything was spotless, and the little touches â from high-quality amenities to thoughtful turndown service â showed the hotelâs commitment to excellence.
Dining at the hotel was another highlight. Every meal was beautifully presented and delicious, with service that was both prompt and personable. The concierge team was incredibly helpful, offering great local recommendations and arranging everything seamlessly.
What really impressed me most was the superb service. Every interaction felt genuine â the staff clearly take pride in what they do, and it shows in every detail of the guest experience.
If youâre looking for a luxurious stay with world-class service and a truly welcoming atmosphere, I canât recommend the Emporium Hotel highly enough. Itâs an experience that exceeds expectations in every way.â

A decent five-star hotel. The room was spacious and even had a balcony, perfect for enjoying the refreshing sea breeze. It's located right in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere â Cairns itself is quite small, so you can easily walk to most places. A taxi from the airport to the hotel was around 25 AUD.
Conveniently located with a kitchen, which was great for cooking our own meals. The high floor offered expansive views. The beach is right across the street, making it wonderful to watch the sunrise in the morning. The train station behind the hotel also made getting around very easy. Overall, it's a fantastic choice.

The hotel's location is excellent, with plenty of dining and entertainment options within a 1km radius, and it's only 1km to the South Bank. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, and the doormen were very attentive. Since we had an early flight at 7 AM, the supervisor thoughtfully packed us a meal to go. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel!!!
I come to many hotels and this was by far the most beautiful thing I visited. Everything was very clean and very friendly welcome. From here you can explore the whole city without distant travel. Directly from the hotel you also have a walking bridge to South Banks. In the hotel you also have the sky deck with a great view of the city. Highly recommended

The hotel's location is excellent, right on Queen Street. You can easily walk to South Bank just by crossing the bridge, and public transportation nearby is very convenient. My room type booking was incorrect due to an issue with Ctrip, but it was resolved very quickly, and the hotel staff were very proactive. The breakfast was good, and staying in a triple room with two people was very comfortable, as it had two bathrooms. Room cleaning was also done promptly. Overall, I highly recommend it. The front desk supervisor is Chinese and speaks Mandarin, which made communication very smooth.

The hotel is located in a fantastic position. It has direct access to the beach promenade walk, very close to the night market (2 minutes walk), and very close to many other POI in the town.
The service is good, the guys at the reception are great, theyâre kind and very happy to help for everything.
Very good gem in town
The one bedroom apartment is reasonably sized and had a balcony looking out over other apartments and the river. The bedroom also had a balcony. With bathroom a modern and there was no kitchen facilities. Only a fridge and kettle. If you need to use a microwave, you need to go the the basement and use one in the laundry. The outside pool and pool furniture is great and the roof top restaurant and bar has amazing city and river views. The staff are very friendly. There is a carpark under the hotel with easy access to your apartment floor.

Living Room bar is a must to visit !! Tony and his colleagues were super hospitable, mixed us most of the menu items, and our favourites were the Beet-ness and Espresso 2.0. We stayed for only the one night on the 19th floor and thought the view at night was great. Waking up to see so much of Brisbane in the morning was a real surprise. Breakfast Buffet menu options were vast, however we chose from the Ă la carte ďżźmenu paired with some fantastic coffees to start the day.

Great
We loved our stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the swimming pool so much. Room is clean and spacious with a lovely view over the balcony. The vibe at both bars is excellent reminding me I am in a holiday. Our room is in front of an elevator, so it is a bit noisy on the morning when people go down to the restaurant. The breakfast didn't meet my expectations. Sometimes food didn't get refilled fast enough. There is room for improvement.
Terrific place to stay with a family of 4. Great view of the beach, watching sun rises each morning & hear the waves hit the shores each time. What a pleasant place to be.. Definitely will be back again in future.

From the moment I arrived they tried to accommodate me as I was early. I was given a refreshing drink and my luggage was stored while my room was being readied. I had some food and drinks at the bar. The staff were lovely and remembered me the next day! I was given keys to the outdoor facilities so was able to use the pool and spa if I wanted. They txt when the room was ready. It was an end room which overlooked the water and ocean. It was beautifully presented and the toiletries were a good size and smelt lovely. I loved the upgrades they had done to the hotel as I have stayed there previously. I ordered dinner from the in room dining, but the internet service was very slow so I had to go to reception to order. The servings were great and the food was delicious. My reservation included breakfast which was plentiful and fresh. I really enjoyed my stay, which was over too quickly!
We booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. Iâve listed positives and negatives below: Positives: - there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon - Staff are very friendly/welcoming - Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room - facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach - Bathtub was lovely - Easy access to the beach Negatives: - There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said theyâd send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didnât check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said theyâd send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing. - The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I donât know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels Iâve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out
Good vibes- near to Esplanade and rooms with sea view include the beautiful flyer, that made the stay colourful! For the foot spa and facial, the staff was friendly. Also beside the Night market and walking distance to train station, about 15-20mins walk.

Great
I really grew to like this hotel. Immaculately clean rooms, crispy clean linen and towels, fast top level room service, great choice for buffet breakfast. A real sized swimming pool, and free ev charging in the underground parking. As a bit of advice - do pay that little bit extra for an ocean view room, if you plan to spend any time in you unit, it makes a huge difference.
