Yun He Ye Bo Hotel (Xi'an Zhonggulou South Gate)

Traveling to Xi'an with my family of three, I carefully selected this hotel, and overall it's great for tourists. It definitely lives up to its reputation as one of China's top 100 hotels. 1. **Location:** If you're not planning on using the subway, this is a prime choice. Taxis are readily available, and you can walk to the Stele Forest Museum and the city wall. 2. **Service:** Full marks for service! After checking in, the butler showed us to our room, provided complimentary welcome fruit, proactively added an extra breakfast, and was quick to respond to and resolve any issues. They even gave us a parting gift when we checked out. 3. **Hotel Facilities:** The hotel's decor is fitting for a high-end business hotel. Food deliveries are brought to your room by a robot, bottled water is complimentary, and they even offer sweet soup in the evenings. A small note: the soundproofing in the rooms is just okay. We could hear the kids next door making noise and hair dryers quite clearly at night. If you need quiet, avoid rooms facing the street, as the car horns are very noticeable at night!!! 4. **Airport Shuttle:** The hotel offers free airport pick-up and drop-off, which needs to be booked a day in advance. It's a good option if you're not in a hurry. The airport drop-off leaves on the hour, and during peak times, the shuttle can be full, with luggage piled in the aisle. For pick-up, we waited half an hour for another passenger, and the driver proactively helped with our luggage. (My personal experience at T2 terminal for checked baggage: 30 minutes for check-in is sufficient.) 5. **Breakfast:** The breakfast spread is quite extensive, including mini roujiamo (Chinese burgers), but for a tourist, it generally lacks a distinct Xi'an flavor.

The location is super convenient! It's an easy walk to the Bell Tower and Xi'an Museum. For places like Datang Everbright City, Shaanxi History Museum, and Sajinqiao, a taxi ride is quick and simple. There are also plenty of shopping areas nearby, plus famous local eateries like Weijia Liangpi and Chahualong. We had a great time! The room itself was generally good, though the bathroom was a bit small. We stayed in two rooms for four nights but didn't get complimentary breakfast, which was a bit of a shame. The family room faced the street, so it was a little noisy. The Qin Sheng Zhai downstairs had some delicious food.

This hotel was the most pleasant surprise of our trip to Xi'an! We stayed in two other good hotels before this, but Ling Hotel was definitely the most delightful. The hotel is located north of the old city and is a bit hidden, but taking the direct elevator to the 16th-floor lobby for check-in was an absolute revelation. The public areas are wonderfully designed, with great attention to detail and a high-quality feel! The room details were also excellent. The sofa was very comfortable, and the TV was large, though the lighting was a bit dim. The LE LABO toiletries and Dyson hairdryer were definite bonuses. But the biggest surprise was the hotel's rooftop observation deck and swimming pool. The observation deck offers a complete view of the Drum Tower and the central axis, and the pool view is also perfect, especially at night when it's lit up! The most, most, MOST delightful thing was the small gift we received at check-out. They specially carved a small seal for my child! Even though we only stayed for one day, they managed to craft such an exquisite seal. This gift was truly thoughtful. Thank you to all the hotel staff! Thank you for your considerate service! My only minor suggestion is that the breakfast and late-night snack options could be improved.

Very close to the subway and surprisingly quiet, with a cool retro decor. It was super convenient for getting around. You absolutely HAVE to try the rice noodles for breakfast! I ate them for three days straight, haha. They come with a stir-fried meat sauce that's incredibly delicious. The aunties and the front desk staff were all so thoughtful and accommodating. They helped with everything I asked for, even printing dozens of pages of my contract! **Double Indulgence Afternoon Tea Buffet**: Highly recommended, with fruits, pastries, and coffee.

Title: This hotel stay was incredible value for money, let me share some details so you can get a feel for it. I booked this hotel simply for the convenience of seeing 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow,' but I never expected such a wonderful experience. First, the location is unbeatable – right inside the scenic area. Staying here grants you free admission. Following the front desk's advice, I went for a stroll around 7 AM. The entire park was almost empty, and the morning light on Mount Li was stunning. By the time we returned for breakfast, tour groups were already lining up at the entrance. In that moment, I felt incredibly clever. The service was also exceptionally thoughtful. In the evening, as we headed out for the show, I was worried about rain, but the staff had already prepared raincoats for us and even escorted us all the way to the performance venue, so we didn't have to navigate on our own. Whenever we had a question, their response was always, ”No problem, we'll take care of it,” which was incredibly reassuring. The room was clean and comfortable. They provided pear soup and fruit; the warm pear soup was soothing for the throat and very relaxing to drink. Breakfast was incredibly lavish. I initially intended to eat light, but I couldn't resist grabbing several plates. In summary: it was stress-free, comfortable, and we were very well looked after. If you're coming to Huaqing Palace for a show or sightseeing, staying here is definitely something you won't regret. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

I've stayed here several times now. The rooms are very spacious, the location is super convenient, and the surrounding area is great. The service is excellent, and the rooms are well-equipped with everything you need like a washing machine and kitchenware. It's especially perfect for staying with friends or family.

Facilities: They have a laundry room with no time limit, which is really good. Hygiene: It was okay, we booked three rooms in total. Environment: Should be fine. Service: The front desk staff were great and even gave us breakfast vouchers. The only downside is that the price changed every day, and it kept going up.

The hotel facilities are good and it's clean. The bed is really soft and comfortable. The cleanliness is quite satisfactory; there are no stains on the bedding, and the floors are clean. The hotel is conveniently located near Keji Road subway station, making transportation quite easy. They also offer complimentary afternoon tea with black tea and parking vouchers.

InterContinental Hotels XI'AN HI-TECH ZONE by IHG

My only requirement for a hotel is peace and quiet. That's why, even though I was visiting Xi'an, I specifically booked this place. Plus, as an IHG Platinum member, I try to stick with the brand. The reason for choosing this hotel was simple: it looked relatively quiet, and they had suites available. Logically, for just my wife and me, such a large room wasn't necessary, but I thought fewer neighbors might mean more quiet. The first night, however, had a bit of a hitch. I'm not sure if it was the air conditioning unit upstairs or some other machinery, but every twenty minutes or so, there would be a very loud bang, which meant I barely slept all night. Honestly, for such a nice room, this issue was quite unexpected. At 5 AM, I couldn't take it anymore and had to call the front desk. They handled it promptly, quickly moving me to the seventh floor; my original room was on the eighteenth floor. The seventh-floor suite was also much quieter. Although the curtains were a bit old, with several small holes, making them less effective at blocking out light than those on the eighteenth floor, and the partition between the living room and bedroom was transparent (which compromises sound insulation and light blocking), the overall living experience was actually more comfortable. The rooms downstairs have gaming consoles and kitchens, while the rooms upstairs feel more like private meeting spaces – each with its own distinct features. At least after moving to the seventh floor, I didn't hear that inexplicable loud noise anymore. Of course, being closer to the gym, I occasionally heard some equipment training sounds, but it was a vast improvement compared to the first night, and my sleep quality significantly improved on the second day. Just a small suggestion for the hotel: the coffee machine in the room and the provided capsules didn't seem to be compatible, so I didn't end up using it. But this is a minor issue and didn't affect the overall experience. This stay also made me ponder whether I should continue to spend more on suites just for the sake of quiet in the future. Theoretically, suites should have fewer neighbors, but in reality, suite floors might also attract more families traveling together, so it's not necessarily quieter. Overall, however, I was quite satisfied with this stay. Especially the hotel staff's service attitude was excellent, and their response time when issues arose was very quick. If I visit Xi'an again, I'd very likely choose to stay here. For friends traveling, this hotel is indeed a bit further from the main attractions, but for me, getting a good rest is more important than saving an extra ten or twenty minutes of travel time.

Great hotel. Nice, modern and clean. The room was good too. Comfy bed with medium firmness. Great shower and toilet with auto wash. Aircon worked very well. The tv was a projector onto a big projector screen but we had no idea how to use it as it was in Chinese. The lights had some variations but none that let us control the lights we actually wanted on. This could be improved. Location was excellent to the Bell Tower area. Metro stop on the doorstep but a bit of a walk to the actual train line. Muslim Quarter a 10 min walk. Breakfast catered for the Chinese palette. My husband loved it.  There was a free laundry room which was very handy and we got all our dirty clothes washed and dried in about an hour. Check out going well when they gave us a bag of sweets which we thought was really lovely until we realised it was effectively a bribe when the staff (very politely) insisted we do a 5 star review there and then. That request ironically was the one thing I did not like at all. Do not ask try to force your customers to review what you want them to. Reviews are personal and should reflect their experience plus it’s rude!
