Le Petit Pali at 8th Ave
4.3/575 Reviews
This was our second visit to Carmel from London, but our first to Le Petit Pali and it is a great find! The rooms are quite 'bijou', especially as we were sharing with our teenage son, but they are beautifully decorated, thoughtfully appointed and very comfortable. The hotel has a cosy atmosphere, and breakfast outside in the courtyard was t. We enjoyed chatting to Daverle, who was attentive, and also gave good tips for our ongoing visit to Yosemite! We loved that it was just a short walk to the shops and restaurants, and although we didn't have time to make use of the bikes, that is a really nice touch, and if we come back we would definitely like to use them. I wish I could remember the name of the girl who checked us in (it was her little son's birthday the next day, if that helps!), as she very quickly resolved a brief mix-up over which room was booked for the 3 of us - she was delightful, full of advice and really welcoming.
Carmel Wayfarer Inn

The house is nice and the place is spacious; when I checked in, the front desk was already off work, and I put the key in the envelope. The old lady at the front desk felt okay. I asked the child to pick up things in the car, but she said that the child could not pick it up by himself. After I went there, she said she would call the police for a while. I ignored her and didn't see the police all night after returning to the house. I feel that discrimination against white people is one aspect in the extraordinary period, and it may also be that the old lady may have a bad relationship with the hotel and deliberately find fault, because she sits next to the window and talks all night!
Hofsas House Hotel

The hotel is near the town center, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the commercial street. It can be said that the location is very good. There are many varieties of breakfast, including orange juice, coffee, yogurt and several kinds of bread. Compared with other hotels, there are more choices. The front desk clerk is very friendly, because the hotel does not have an elevator, so if you have luggage, you can ask the room attendant to help you deliver it to the room. The room is not big, the shower room is not big, maybe it is exhausted to the level of Samsung in China
Comfort Inn Carmel by the Sea

Very close to the highway and close to the 17th bay. The facilities have been slightly improved and the sound insulation is not very good. Back to another similar hotel. There is a complimentary breakfast, the bed is very large and it is ok in general. If you drive by car, you can stop at the door. The gas station is separated by two streets.
Pine Inn - Carmel

The room is small and complete, this is the first hotel in the town, not open on weekends, so good luck. Twin room, the bed is a bit small, but the baby sleeps in a small bed with a sofa, just fine. Breakfast is delivered by the hotel, but the tip is not rich, but the miscellaneous fruits are pineapple, cantaloupe, cucumber and so on. Next to the hotel is lush, smelling a scent, can not help but buy. Carmel Beach should be visible across the bed.
Best Western Carmels Town House Lodge

If you are want to visit the downtown Carmel area and plan to park your car and walk everywhere, you are in luck with this hotel. We booked a king room for a two night stay and did plenty of research so we knew both the negatives and the positives. We had a very nice quiet room with covered parking, so helpful. It seemed to be unseasonably warm in the afternoon hours, especially in the sun with the high humidity, so the lack of A/C in the room was felt, but opening the windows and using the old fan did help. Maybe they could consider a ceiling fan in the future. We left the door open several times to get extra ventilation in the room, but we found that the bugs wanted to enter the room as well. As previously mentioned, there is no elevator, just stairs. If you have mobility issues, be aware of this. The lady that checked us in was very kind, welcoming and friendly. Appreciated her helpfulness. Just a quick reminder that everything in the downtown Carmel area is ”smallish,” meaning that shops, restaurants and sometimes local inns and hotels, are not big on space. If you feel the need to spread out, this is not the place for you, but it is in a great location and reasonably priced for an expensive area.
