Great looking place just a shame they were rigging up a festival gig for a few days so stage disco etc being set up in car park in front of building so really ruined that wow factor when you arrived! Also no tea/coffee facilities in room,very weird! Butt to food first class and staff very friendly

Nach längerer Zeit war ich einmal wieder hier - und bin begeistert. Empfang: in den Schlosshof vorgefahren, um das Gepäck abzuladen - und sofort kam eine helfende Hand herbei, um mitzuhelfen. Zurück zum Parkplatz - sowohl ebenerdig wie auch unterirdisch (mit unterirdischem Zugang zur Rezeption, falls es einmal regnet) sind ausreichend Plätze vorhanden. Empfehlung: parkt im Parkhaus - mir hat einmal oben ein Marder bei meinem neuen Auto die Kühlschläuche zerbissen... Rezeption: schneller check-in, Begleitung aufs Zimmer. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig mit zwei extra Pluspunkten: (1) eine Zwischentür, die das eigentliche Zimmer vor dem Badezimmer und dem Flur abschottete und (2) ein sehr schön großes und modernes Bad. Dinner im Gewölbe: unaufgeregt, lecker, limitierte Weinauswahl - aber mit ein paar echten Highlights. Hinterher in die Bar: 2017 angebaut, sehr hell, licht, schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstücksbuffet MUSS man machen - die Auswahl ist riesig, der Service aufmerksam, die O-Saft-Maschine gibt es immer noch... Alles in allem: perfekter Aufenthalt! Hier lohnt sich sogar nur eine einzige Nacht, um wieder aufzutanken.

What more can we say about this most perfect of places. We travel from the U.K. twice a year and discovered the Schloss 4 years ago. Returned last week after another wonderful 3 week tour of Deutschland. However, we deliberately left the very best to last and spent our final 10 days here. If anyone wants to experience a truly 5 star hotel where everything is absolutely perfect, then we would advise you to treat yourself and stay here . The rooms and suites in the Castle are exquisite, the food in the Bar and Sclosskeller is delicious and beatifully served and the folks who work here are extremely kind and professional. We have said before that since retirement we have been fortunate to have been guests of some very fine 5 star hotels in the U.K. the USA and Europe. However, in our opinion none have surpassed this wonderful and evocative place. Not only is the Schloss and the gardens and grounds superb but it is situated in the most finest of lands. Surrounded by pristine forests and woods and farmland. So, thankyou again our dear Schlosshotel Munchhausen

Es ist eine negative Premiere. Das erste Mal seit 18 Jahren wird das Schlosshotel Münchhausen nicht mit einem Michelin-Stern ausgezeichnet. Das Gourmet Restaurant im Schlosshotel Münchhausen in Schwöbber wird in diesem Jahr nicht mit einem Michelin-Stern bedacht. Die Entscheidung wurde Dienstagabend bekannt gegeben. Zuvor wurde das Restaurant 18 Jahre in Folge mit einem Stern ausgezeichnet – unter der Leitung von Küchenchef Achim Schwekendiek. Seit Februar gehen der Koch und das Schlosshotel getrennte Wege. Vorausgegangen war ein Konflikt um das weitere berufliche Engagement Schwekendieks, als Pächter des Ratskeller in Rinteln. 1576 baute man in der Küche einen Ochsenbräter ein, heute serviert unser Küchenteam ausgewählte lukullische Kostbarkeiten. Ob in unserem Gourmet-Restaurant, dem „1570“–Petit Gourmet, rustikalen Schlosskeller, gemütlichen Rittersaal oder bei einer duftenden Tasse Kaffee mit hausgemachtem Kuchen oder einem Late Night Cocktail in der Schloss Bar SCHWÖBBAR – immer können Sie sich von Symphonien für die Sinne verführen lassen und dabei die besondere Atmosphäre unseres Schlosses genießen. 4 days at the Schlosshotel Münchhausen were a huge disappointment. All the restaurants were closed because of supposed renovations. We had to eat dinner at the bar. No tablecloths, bad seating. No sign of the advertised gourmet food. Only the drinks prices were at an extreme level. It's a shame that we booked the hotel, but we'll never, ever come back.
