had a nice break here , very good location and nice sea view on fourth floor, clean and nice staff, close to old town , pool lovely, the hotel was a little too quiet for my 12 year old son however as no day entertainment at all , no restaurant at evening either but we like eating out anyway, breakfast was good and staff are all helpful.

Breakfast buffet is super invincible and delicious! Especially fruit selection is especially great! The hotel will take the initiative to help parking is free. Hotel dinner is not recommended for single or buffet, the taste is very general, the ingredients are not too fresh. The sea view room has a beautiful sunrise view of the sea on the west side of the sunrise. Also saw the double rainbow! The on-site walking trail is also very convenient to walk to the sandy beach of Sao Rafeal. In the morning, it is empty and there is no one, just like enjoying a private beach. The only downside is that the spa is charged separately by number of people, and the free swimming pool also has to buy a swimming cap to enter.

We came here 6 years ago and were looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately we were left disappointed. We checked in and the toilet in our room was broken. It kept running and consequently the tank refilling. We called reception who sent maintenance up quickly. They ”fixed” it but it still wasn't right and then wouldn't flush fully. We asked to swap rooms which they allowed us to do. As a whole the rooms haven't changed in 6 years which was the problem. They're now looking very dated and worn in need of maintenance. The shower was annoying as it constantly moved from right to left whilst on and at the same time down the shower pole. Meaning you had to hold it with one hand whilst trying to wash with the other. The shower screen also leaked so by the time you've managed to have a shower which took twice as long the floor was soaked. I found myself having to mop it up so that we didn't slip. The toilet seat was also broken on one side so it would slip off. All minor things which add up and could be easily fixed. You also have to pay for the safe which seems a bit crazy. We'd come from two previous hotels on the same trip and not once had to pay for the safe and they weren't 4 star hotels like this one. The pool was nice and pool towels are available. Breakfast was good, you have to select a time slot, I guess due to covid. Be warned you can't use the indoor pool unless you bring or buy a swimming hat. The spa area also looked nice. The air con in the rooms worked well and the beds were comfortable, it's frustrating as this hotel could be really nice but lots of little things let it down, all easily resolved with some TLC but all which make it not worth the money paid.

Hotel is lovely when you walk in the door but the rest of the hotel is dated. In need of a total revamp. Room is clean, and well equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle and a dishwasher and all utensils but no condiments. A lot of noise from crowds of men banging on doors late at night and loud voices. There is a total of 5 plugs in the room, only one that worked and this was the one for the kettle the rest was hidden by furniture and likely the reason they are hidden they don’t work, so was a nightmare if you needed electric for any more than 1 plug. With a teenager it was torture. We were half board but food wasn’t great, selection was poor of 4 hot choices. Meatballs, chicken legs, pasta with sauce separate and a cod pie. Tried the restaurant twice and was the same options both times. So don’t waste your money on half board. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Highly recommend Clay oven which is Indian before you get to the ***** and Golden garden Chinese at the bottom of the *****. Both meals were fantastic. Pool has lots of sun loungers but pool was freezing, there is a shed with a vending machine as the bar. We tried the indoor pool which was pleasant as it is slightly warmer, but you are made to wear a shower cap that they supply costing 4 euros, don’t understand why as it isn’t waterproof and the hat supplied is far from flattering. ***** is 5 mins away and old town is a 25 min walk both pleasant walks. We made the best of our holiday and used the hotel as a base, I’ve been to Albuferia 6 times now and will come back but to a different hotel

Me and my partner went for 5 nights all inclusive and wasn’t sure if we made the right decision after reading the reviews… But we were pleasantly surprised! We had a very spacious room in the main building with a huge balcony, which was always kept very clean. Yes the rooms need a bit of an update, but this didn’t dampen our stay, we had amazing sea views! The food was really good and always had quite a good selection as were the drinks. The hotel staff and entertainment team were always so friendly and made us feel welcome. The only thing I would say is that they need more toilet facilities throughout the hotel and we felt like we were always waiting for a lift… There’s lots of stairs to get to various different levels for the restaurant/ reception etc! The hotel is situated right on the sea front which we loved and easy 5 minute drive to both the new and old town! All in all a brilliant stay and we would love to return!

I booked this hotel for friends for a 70th and a 60th - disappointment was an understatement! I used this hotel many times before on friends holidays, large groups or just a couple of us. It’s been maybe 5 years since going - well I was totally disgusted when we got there after recommending to my friends we go there. 4 of us went and when we got our first room it was disgusting! There was paint bubbled and peeling off the dresser, the sink was cracked in many places (not just crazed) bacteria city! We couldn’t close the balcony door or bathroom door, it was truly very grim and soooo old looking. We got them to change our room and said they’d move us but not our friends and they hadn’t even got their room yet! (They obviously knew it wasn’t going to be good) They were given the room next to our first one, there was blood smothering the lamp shade which they just ‘cleaned to the best they could’ but wouldn’t move them. The sunbeds were ALL decrepit, material was all broken, there was not one sunbed in any sort of good condition. We were therefore forced to go to the beach where it was €19 for 2 beds. The music played round the pool was so loud we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk to each other as the speaker was sat by the bar/eating area so we couldn’t stay for lunch during the day and had to leave to go elsewhere. Apparently they are doing up the hotel - very slowly and have done the top floor! That’s no good to anyone being put on the lower floors. They aren’t doing up the urgent things that need attention which is such a shame. We asked for a hairdryer as none in either room and were told to come back tomorrow….we went and bought one but our friends went back the next day and there were none to give out. The last day we asked they opened the cupboard were meant to be kept and the cupboard door fell off!!! Place was falling apart The older lady on reception had the absolute hump with us going back and forth with complaints and asking for help which should be an apology and do all you can to help guests….customer service was totally out the window! She acted like we were just being nuisances….

I lived on the 1st floor, everything was old, the room was dark, it was convenient that it had its own exit to the street, like a courtyard, and right to the pool. The pool was a bit old. Very cool friendly staff, they helped with all questions. A little far from the center, but if you have a car, everything is great. There is parking! Quiet area, beautiful beach within walking distance.

We booked this trip as an alternative to a city break in the UK, we were missing Portugal after the last couple of years absence. The cost via Thomas Cook was cheaper with flights and 3 nights here than 3 nights in UK, so we booked. We upgraded to a superior seaview room, it was well worth it, we were blown away with the view, the size of the room and the overall serene vibe to the hotel. We were in the Inatel Praia which is located a short walk from the main Inatel building which is where the pool area is. We did wander across there and the rooms we could see with balconies looked appealing too. You can tell by the photos which building, as the Priai building is all done in pale blue/turquiose decoration and furnishings. The room had 2 single beds pushed together. The bathroom area was like one large galss cube with a band of frosted glass for some privacy. It gave a very modern feel. There was a safe and a small fridge with a flat screen tv on the wall. The large sliding doors out onto the balcony and the sea view was what made this room special, it was so nice to sit and watch everyone walking and playing on the beach and listening to the waves in the evening. Breakfast was in a clean, bright room with doors open onto a terrace so you could take your food out there. It was an adequate breakfast,. Each day there was a variety of bread rolls, croissants, pain au chocolat, cakes, (you had to be really early to get the pastel de nata). There was sliced cheese, a whole camembert to spoon out the centre, brie, tomatoes, soft cheese and pate. Fresh fruit which was lovely and fresh, we had melon, pineapple and huge grapes, strawberries. There were yoghurts, cereals and mixed nits, dried fruti etc. If you like a hot breakfast this possibly would dissapoint you as there was fried eggs, thick slices of buffalo tomato, beans, scrambled egg , bacon and hot dog style mini sausage. My husband did try these but they were not very warm and not very tasty. I enjoyed my breakfast each day and to be honest it made a nice change being forced to choose something other than traditional hot breakfast. There was also 2 varieties of bread for toast and jam, fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee, with yoghurt drinks too. We got the feeling there were not a lot of English speaking staff there, but everyone we encountered were very friendly, smiley and polite. We prefer not to have our room cleaned everyday and left the do not disturb sign out, we got a letter by the door saying they had not done the room as our sign was out but to request any items we were short of and they would bring them to us, nice touch we thought. The location is great, we are a coulple in our 50's and value some level of peace and quiet and like to seek out the hustle and bustle rather than be among it, a very short walk from the escalators and you were there, very convenient. The resort is beautiful, so many pools, the gardens have a variety of plants and the staff takes very good care in maintaining it in top shape. The reception staff is fairly friendly and some speak very good English but the dining room is different. The food at The Palm is good, the breakfast buffet is worth the 12euros. There is a steep hill to get to the main road so wear appropriate walking shoes. All in all I would recommend this Resort especially if its to use the pool and the activity. February/March is pre season so can't comment more.
