Lovely staff but don’t book a standard room. Bedroom is lit up all night by outside light through internal window. ‘Very Tired’, was not very clean. Ceiling has peeling paint, air conditioning system & vents were very dirty. Toaster rusty with melted buttons, not safe to use. Roof not accessible. Baby cockroaches everywhere. Clearly not a lot of maintenance or inspections conducted as several items need replacing. Maybe more expensive rooms better but at the price we were disappointed. Very strange bathroom/ shower set up. No good for anyone not mobile or with back issues. But Great location right across from the beach.

Staff were friendly and the, room was newly refurbished as advertised. However, there was no heating and unfortunately the bed was never replaced after the renovation. It was lumpy and uncomfortable. We paid for a top level apartment with access to the rooftop but this was locked and not available. For $260 a night this was over priced. I would not stay there again

Very disappointing we booked three months in advance for a deluxe room and got a very poor room with almost no view Very noisy, dirty seats on dining chairs, the apartment is in desperate need of modernisation. Air-conditioning is incredibly noisy. Do not book here, you will most likely be disappointed. Staff said we couldn't move to a better room because it was full however the car park was mostly empty for our entire stay. Please don't book here.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Grand palais . Our check in was very easy the staff at the front desk where very helpful our two bedroom apartment was vert clean with a good view of the beach we had a swim in the pool and found it clean and well cared for. The Grand Palais is only a few minutes walk to the Alexandra surf club and only a 15 to 20 minute very pleasant walk to Mooloolaba cafes. We will definitely stay again

Our expectation of a superb location was not met. Given that list price of $300 per night should provide exceptional accommodation. Hard to find - entrance on side street. The foyer door was a glass wall that opened on right hand side - dangerous without indication. Everything was a bit tired and in need of upgrade. Door to room hung on rh side - dangerous step. Airconditioning not operative and light switches illogical. Very noisy from street. No information on hotel facilities. No phone connection or contactable Reception. Won't be bothered to return.

My partner and I have stayed at Alexandra Headland several times in the past. This was our first year staying at the Grand Palais - and it won’t be our last (we have booked for next year already :-) . From the outset the Resort Managers, Janelle and Steve, could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We stayed for a little over five weeks and were more than pleased with the accommodation. The apartment was spotless, we had everything we needed along with a wonderful ocean view! The reception staff were always friendly, as was the case with the cleaning staff. Yes, it rained a bit while we were there (but that’s out of everyone’s control) yet, undeterred by the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the 29 degree water in the outdoor pool, in the rain! Wonderful!!! As you might guess, we highly recommend the Grand Palais. Thanks to all we made our holiday so … GRAND!
