Historical and stylish hotel
Beautiful historical building, which have not been destroyed by unlucky renovations, as many similar places have. The rooms also are very stylish and in keeping with the period. Front office and breakfast staff could maybe have been interacted a bit more. A simple good evening or good morning can go a long way. The room was flooded with sun from very early morning, as the blackout curtain only covered two thirds of the window. But still all in all this is a great and majestic hotel, and we'd be happy to return any time.

Lovely area to explore
Amal is a good location for exploring the lakes. There a couple of ok places to eat out, but not as many as I'd have liked. Definitely a base rather than a location. Hotel is in an older building and decorated sympathetically. Our room had plenty of space, but no tea or coffee making facilities.

Stort rent rom, med gode senger.
Stort rom, med veldig god seng og deilig sengetøy. Hadde ikke balkong eller aircondition. Vi måtte ha vinduet åpnet på grunn av varmen og vårt rom var vendt mot gaten som var overraskende trafikkert om natten.

Sjarmerende og vakkert
Takk for veldig hyggelig opphold på Åmåls stadshotell. Hotellet var akkurat som vi hadde håpet: Gammel, god atmosfære, store rom. sjarmerende og stilsikre felleslokaler. Midt i sentrum av en. by som var mye mer sjarmerende og vakker enn vi hadde forestilt oss. God frokost og utmerket middag. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!
