The Waterside Rooms

We have just returned from staying at THE WATERSIDE ROOMS and can't speak too highly about them. We were returning guests and Judith and Eric greeted us warmly on arrival. My wife who is a ceoliac was well catered for, Judith even remembered what her preferences were from last year. We feel very fortunate that we discovered this holiday gem. The views from the garden are second to none, and a bird watchers paradise.

Great location with fabulous views, lovely apartment with a comfortable bed and very clean. It would have been the perfect break but for some concerns we had. Prior to arriving we had received a full list of rules only to be met by Eric telling us again about how to park our car and shut the gate! First mistake! The outside area they state you have access to is overlooked by the owners from their living area and they are watching what you are doing so this is not a private garden, lastly the noise from above is horrendous you can hear foot step and banging around all evening. Such a shame because the location and the interior of the apartment is beautiful. Oh and breakfast was average toast was cold and hard but sone good produce and homemade jams.

A good relaxing few days. Good facilities, the ideal guest house . Good walks along the beach and Annan close at hand. Judith and Eric were the perfect hosts.

A perfect place to stay. Location is right by the side of the solway firth with great views and an array of local birds. The accommodation is of a very high standard and has everything you want. A separate bedroom, bathroom and living room. There is a great range of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and they even supply fresh milk daily. When you stay here you are the only guests which gives you the exclusivity and personal touch. Talking of the personal touch, as it was Easter some chocolate rabbits and eggs were left for us. We would definitely stay here again.

From booking the b&b to the moment we left the hospitality from the owners has been exceptional. The place was spotless, beautiful, and so comfortable. I wanted some me time and it was perfect for that. The views just everything was perfect. Thankyou so much for everything I can't wait to bring my boys 💙 Love stephie

Judith and Eric are obviously passionate about making it perfect for guests. The attention to detail is exquisite, information, directions, nice touches and beautiful cutlery/crockery, linens, bathroom toiletries etc etc. The space is built with high quality materials and the location is fantastic. That is the first half of my review. Now the second half of my review. The accommodation is a lower ground/basement set of rooms. The views are great, but the only way you can see them from indoors is if you stand up. The windows are high in the walls and quite small. This was a real disappointment for me. The second disappointment was the sitting room. When I first entered I thought it was the entrance hall. A small room that wasn't welcoming. The 'farm' you drive through we thought was an abbatoir. I am not squeamish, but let's be honest and name things as they are....
