Excellent retreat on the mountainside. Food, wine, service, property, and accommodations were all world class. Will be back. Thanks again!

We stayed here for 4 nights during a 2 week trip to Italy. If it were possible to move in, we would. Badia Di Pomaio is perfect in every way. The decor is gorgeous - simple, clean, modern and warm. The grounds are breathtaking with amazing views to Arezzo and brilliant sunsets. The food is outstanding with much of it coming from the beautiful gardens on site. We saw the chefs picking produce, cutting herbs, and cutting edible flowers many times during our stay. Davide, Luis, Rosa, Iulia, Gianluca and Fillipo took such great care to make sure we were taken care of and make every moment special. We cannot thank everyone enough for our wonderful stay. The ethos of Badia di Pomaio is an elixir for the soul! “In this peaceful and mystical place, inextricably tied to nature, it's possible to live in harmony with the woods and the land, to breathe in the healthy air and the natural scents of the Tuscan countryside while enjoying its quietness and tranquillity. Sleeping at the Badia and waking up to the singing of birds and the gentle rustling of the tree branches in the morning breeze will make you feel like a child again. If you need to recover your energy or leave behind the anxieties of everyday life, Pomaio is perfect for you. There is no place more real and at the same time more dreamlike than Badia di Pomaio.”

The bulding, the garden, the rooms… everything was at the highest level. An old, traditional building, but you can feel everything clear and comfortable. The staff is particularly kind, helpful and flexible. The food is excellent. Gregorio, the cat of the house is cute. I am sure we will return!

The photos do not do justice to how beautiful this hotel and grounds are. The architecture and styling is laid back elegance, with beautiful features, materials and decor. Room was very comfortable, especially the bed and shower and the terrace where we ate breakfast and dinner had beautiful views and sunsets looking out across the Tuscan hills. Pool was immaculately maintained. The whole place is serene and very calming which made it hard to leave and venture out. Staff were very kind and helpful and discrete which added to the overall vibe. Small suggestions and niggles would be TV not working, breakfast was a little inconsistent, and the breakfast area a little understaffed at times. My boyfriend would like to mention that the flush in the toilets and the water pressure in the taps was at times insufficient, but these are small things.

Our stay at Badia di Pomaio was nothing short of exceptional. The entire hotel was absolutely stunning and beautifully maintained and managed. We spent three days in July for a portion of our Honeymoon and it was easily the most relaxing and peaceful part of our trip. The entire staff was attentive and helpful. Each meal we had was delicious and we really enjoyed the onsite wine tasting we did in their wine cellar. We would absolutely recommend a stay here!

This was a truly spectacular hotel, tucked high in the hills above Arrezzo. We are seasoned travellers and used to standards of MO, 4 seasons and the like, so to be blown away by every aspect of this place speaks of the high standards of this hotel. Truly 5*. The sense of calm and serenity greets you as you enter. Love the architecture and design, a true Tuscan zen hideout with the most amazing views. Service was impeccable. Linen was crisp and of the highest quality. Toiletries were Bulgari. Love the wide plank oak floors and the warm neutral tones throughout. Although no Tuscan style frescos on ceiling and wall paintings, the simplicity of the design captured the essence of its origins, that of an abbey. So serene, totally one with nature. Such a gem we almost don’t want it discovered by too many people! Thank you Davide and all the staff for such a perfect stay!

Set in the hills just 15 minutes from Arezzo, this tranquil and beautifully manicured slice of paradise is a tonic for the soul. My wife Melissa and I stayed 3 nights and would most definitely come back. The staff are simply first class. If the property is 5 stars - then the staff are six! A special and heartfelt thanks to Rosa, who was a pure joy for us. Rosa and Max took the best care of us each night for dinner - and the chef was seriously talented. You will not regret making the pilgrimage to this beautiful Tuscan space. Pool, rooms, secret and cosy nooks and crannies - all 5 star!!!

The hotel is a 15-20 minute drive up from Arezzo. Road a bit treacherous in places but the view astonishing from the beautiful infinity pool & rooms. The staff are more than welcoming and courteous. Inside the tastefully styled renovated monastery fragrance drifts through and around every corner. Room simply furnished and spotless with frequent invisible room service. Small pretty aromatic veg/flower garden and the most butterflies we have ever seen. Whilst breakfast delivered the best tasting croissants ever and delicious fresh choices, the dinner experience left us very disappointed and we felt very over charged. We have had a lot better for half the price and a Michelin star. It was the only disappointment during our stay and very sadly we chose to eat out after this.
